I've been trying to switch it up with my workout routine to have more diversity with the exercises. I usually go to spin classes so I appreciate the cardio aspect of this but love that there is more weights involved. I recently tried Barry's and loved it so I figured I'd try this one (and the heights location) to see which is best. Parking isn't the easiest here as you either have to park in the paid garage or find a lot and walk to class. While I'm not opposed to paying to park, it is an added expense when you're already paying for an expensive fitness class. Upon arrival, the woman at the front desk got me checked in and told me I could wait until the instructor opened the doors. Despite it being my first time, they did no overview or walk-through of the studio, which is a bit disappointing. I always think an introduction is nice. They do have lockers in the bathroom for your stuff; however, most people just left their stuff in the open cubbies at the front. For this class, the room has blue lighting and the instructor is on an elevated platform. this studio did seem a little bit more open than the Heights location which I liked more. The stage is where the exercises are demonstrated and you can always look for the instructor. While Barry's usually does a clean split between time on the treadmill and then the floor... SWEAT has 5-7 minute intervals and rotations. I think more time gets wasted doing the transitions and prefer the larger block of time. The workout itself was great and the instructor was nice. When on the treadmill, I appreciate that they give a walk, jog and run option although with the speeds they mention... no way are you still walking unless you're doing your own thing. On the floor side, I do wish they offered more options or guidance to those who have injuries and can't do some movements. I understand it's a large class so it's not feasible but it's something to note. All in all, it was a good workout and I'd visit again BUT would still pick Barry's over this one.

Love the staff! The moment I walked in, it was as if it didn't make a difference that I've never been to this location and they made sure to welcome me. Thank you for your hospitality and starting my morning with an intense workout that kicked my butt!

I went here on a Saturday had the best time here with the most incredible instructor. Everyone was so supportive and motivated me to give it my all. It's great that there's no judgment here, just everyone working towards their goals on a Saturday morning. I definitely rate it five stars.rning. I give it a five star.

Sweat is amazing!! The workout was intense and the equipment is new and really high tech. The classes aren't cheap but you're paying for a great workout and nice amenities. Parking in the garage and your ticket will be validated. Showers are clean. There are towels, hairdryers, and deodorant. There's a water fountain with filtered water and cubbies to put your bags in. Once you go into the workout room, it's dark and the instructor plays high intensity music throughout. You alternate between cardio on the treadmill and weights in the floor. The room has good circulation so even though I was sweating a lot, I didn't feel too hot. Once again, my instructor was great, kept us hyped, and I definitely burned a lot of calories!

This was my first time here and I enjoyed every drop of it. They make your WORK! It is non stop circuit training basically. You go from the treadmill to strength training the entire time. They give you a full body workout. It definitely feels like a HIIT workout but 50 min long lol. I did have to tone it back at the end a little, and that was ok. They don't make you feel like you have to push yourself if you no longer can. They do encourage you to give it your all. I burned like 500 calories. This was about what I burn from running, so that was nice! I'm already booked to come back for more next Saturday. They also have a heights location that I want to try out soon.

Really fun instructor, hands on corrections. Tried their mat pilates class, not heated. Good mix of difficult but fun.

I was a bit apprehensive about this class after trying Barry's (and hating it) but this was sooooo much better.

From day…read more1 to my second YEAR of coming here consistently, I had never felt like I couldn't keep up or that it even mattered! The trainers and the people that come here are just so encouraging and have always shown me that they truly care about each and every individual's personal goals and work with each body type. I've never felt like I couldn't come in a little earlier or stay a little later and just ask questions and get help and advice on reaching my own fitness and health goals. F45 makes me feel like I am a part of a community. Overall this location, I may sound bias, is THE best! I have friends and co-workers who are members of the other F45 locations in the Houston area and a part of other types of gym classes who have left their gym to come to the West U F45 location! So it isn't just about the program and the equipment either, It's truly the people and the community that can make a huge impact on whether or not you can achieve your fitness goals and get the results you want to look and just FEEL good about yourself!

The coaches are encouraging and give instructive feedback. EZ and AD are great and have lots of energy. I do wish they had more class time options are sometimes the times are not conducive with my schedule but I make it work! They definitely have a good community aspect to it compared to some other locations I've been to. I recommend trying if you want a good workout! And try more than one class bc not all classes are the same.

I'd describe Barry's as a boutique fitness studio that offers a great workout with energetic and motivating instructors with fun curated playlists. Barry's follows a cadence for muscle group focus that I appreciate. There is also a fuel bar that serves nutritious and yummy smoothies. I find Barry's a fun way to get in movement and adds to my workout routine.

Riti was our instructor for RUN X FULL BODY & she kept the upbeat vibes the entire time! It was honestly impressive & equally shocking how amazing her classroom management was haha but she kept us motivated for the whole 50 minutes. There were various sets where half the class was on the treadmill and the other half on the floor. The treadmillers were jogging, sprinting, & everything in between. The floor people were doing a lot of squats, bodyweight & weight lifting exercises. Then every few minutes the people on the treadmill would switch to the floor and vice versa. You really have to listen carefully and pay attention while the instructor is moving around shouting out what you're supposed to do. Parking is in a lot or on the street, both requires payment. There are lockers to store your belongings as well as showers in the bathrooms. They provide towels at eac station for the class as well. You be assigned a number for the treadmill & the floor section. This is definitely not meant for someone who gets overstimulated easily but if you like chaotic exercise classes, I highly recommend. Try it out at least once, you won't regret it!

First, you have to get to the Greenway plaza parking garage and enter via the visitor parking entrance for 4-6 Greenway Plaza garage from the 59 feeder road. Once inside the garage, follow the signs for 5 Greenway plaza. It should be the blue colored parking area. There's a pretty big sign that says visitor parking. Then, look for the entrance that says 5 Greenway Plaza. Enter and pass the flower shop on the left, and Pulse fitness is right there. The front desk can validate your parking right away, which was awesome. The outside sitting area before entering this gym was so pretty and filled with bright natural light. If you go here earlier in the day, you can sit in this area and just relax. I heard some food vendors are also open earlier in the day. Inside, this gym was nice. Let me say this again, it's very nice. Like everything was new: their cardio equipment, weights, machines, kettlebells, stability balls, medicine balls, and probably all their other equipment. Their restrooms were clean, and even had a nice sitting area. They had lockers with 3 digit dial codes to secure your belongings. They have nice showers. They have clean towels on every cardio station and on more shelves. They have a filtered water station. I mean, what more could you want? I do have to mention that they don't have your typical weight machines. They have weights but with resistance cords to them. You can feel the weight both going away from and towards starting position. It just takes a bit of getting used to. Leaving the garage is simple. Follow the sign to exit for southwest freeway (Highway 59), and you're good to go. Next time, I will have to inquire about their HIIT classes. So, I will definitely be back.
