    Salmon soup

Had a reservation for two at 9pm on a Saturday evening. We were greeted right away as we walked into the door and taken to our seat shortly after. Highly recommend a reservation. We sat at a high top and waters were brought right away and some warm house bread. The soup of the day was a salmon soup our waiter informed us. I decided to give it a try. It was delicious. I then ordered their seafood pasta. Once again, delicious. The pasta was cooked to perfection along with the different seafood. Everyone we ran across were friendly, there was light music playing, and the resturant was clean. If I make my way back to the area, I would definitely eat here again.

Came here several times for different occasions. Service was great, and the atmosphere is cozy and cute! The pasta is homemade, and the dishes are made to order. I personally think the food is just ok and nothing special. It's a popular spot though, so they recommend you making a reservation if you want a table.

I was visiting Milwaukee and found this place online it looked super good. I sat at the bar it was so beautiful and their bar seats were very comfortable. I ordered the Caesar Salad and Rigate Alla Vodka both were SO GOOD. I loved their pasta and the sauce was absolutely delicious. The bartender was helpful and attentive. Next time I'm in Milwaukee I will be going by!

The location and ambience are perfect! Perfect for a date night or a night out on the town. But honestly, I'm not a huge fan of their food. I went a few years ago and had a similar reaction, but on the recommendation of friends we recently tried again and unfortunately was let down again. They start with bread which is really great! Unfortunately I did not enjoy my Aperol Spritz. I ordered the gnocchi and scallops dish and at first was confused as it seems the gnocchi was fried? So I thought those were the scallops. But apparently not. The gnocchi had a weird texture due to this. My fiancés dish was alright as well, but not good enough to finish. The service was great and aptly paced for being quite busy! I would not go here if I was looking for a traditional Italian meal.

Visited before our MSO event. Drink specials were great- the table ordered wine and few of the drinks. Loved them. Shared the pork belly and burrata. Both were delish and outstanding. Hubby and I also shared the Warm mushroom salad- so good! The warmth wilted the arugula and the nuts and goat cheese was so enjoyable. Everyone ordered pasta tonight: gnocchi, fusilli, rigatoni (added meatballs), and agnolotti. We ate everything- and didn't even take pics. Gnocchi were soft and light. Also ordered dessert which was outstanding. Service was consistent- but was going to order another drink - but missed the opportunity and left for the symphony. Not our first time here- and won't be our last.

I came here with a group of girls for a casual dinner. It was my first time here and overall the restaurant is very pretty with a low light ambience atmosphere. Perfect setting for a date night! The service was overall good. The food wasn't bad but also wasn't amazing. I thought the bread was kind of bland without much flavor, although it did come out warm and served with bread and butter. I ordered the carbonara which seemed just average as well based on flavor.

Visiting the area from out of state, Onesto's was recommended highly. Had reservations and we were seated promptly. There was 8 in our party and to start we chose a pretty good red blend Elizabeth Rose Chackablock. Service was excellent, checking on us regularly. Warm sour baguette was to start with some rich butter, . Apps were bruschetta, calamari. Dinner items ordered, warm mushroom salad, lobster ravioli, meatballs, carbonara, and bolognese. The ambiance was inviting, not loud at all and can talk and have conversations. Would definitely recommend and would for sure come back

I've been to Onesto a few times now and it never disappoints! I love the intimate dining experience it provides guests and i've always had very kind and attentive service. This most recent time visiting, I had a few of my favorites which include their brown sugar espresso martini, bruschetta app, and the Rigate Alla Vodka dish. I enjoy adding a protein to the pasta dishes (meatballs or salmon), although it is an additional cost. I do recommend making a reservation in advance as they get quite busy quickly, especially on weekends . Overall, I would definitely recommend trying out if you are looking for delicious, classic Italian cuisine!

Best brown sugar espresso, bread, salad and pasta! High marks for the Milwaukee Italian eatery. Almost rivals NY/NJ fine dining Italian establishments.

A must if you love espresso martinis

We had such a great experience at Onesta Italian Restaurant in Milwaukee! The burrata was absolutely amazing--fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. You can really tell they take pride in their ingredients and presentation. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service made the whole night even better. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

Onesto has been on my "need to try" list for years! Finally went with some business partners during their visit from the Bay Area. It was declared their favorite stop during their week in Milwaukee! From the bread to the crab cake to the pastas we really enjoyed everything. Some of us got martinis (amazing- get the Olive Oil Martini) and the rest praised the red wine selection. A great spot to bring people new to Milwaukee. The Third Ward is always a fun place to explore. Service was attentive and timely. The restaurant filled up quickly so make a reservation!

It's a delightful place. I tried the Fusilli, the pasta is good but would definitely get the Rigate alla Vodka next time!

The day we came, I didn't have a taste for steak, which unusual for me! I ordered a wedge salad to start and a crab dish instead of steak and both were delicious. Everything was Fresh with great flavor. The atmosphere in this restaurant is very warm and dark but not too dark and cozy but spacious. Our server was very nice. Very attentive. Staff was not prepared at all, actually telling people the guy who usually does speech did not come and they do not know what to say actually. For any alcohol you will buy you will pay in addition which is fine BUT the price for that drink(s) will be surprising you a lot. For 5 sake drinks the bill was around $370. Last two glasses were having less sake than first glasses we were provided, probably because people who already drunk something would not notice the difference. It's ok to have expensive alcohol pairing with high end dinner but in this case the sake was very regular. By the way, at bar 10 steps away from the Dark room (same hotel, same floor, same the floor area) the same sake did cost $23 for two glasses. Well... I understand people try to run business and earn money but everything should not cross some decency borders. These guys did cross the line in my opinion. Alcohol prices are not mentioned in Menu by the way. I do not recommend this place not only due to drinks pricing policy but due to "ok" food/service/price ratio
