The bus drivers can be friendly, not all of them are though. Can't blame them after dealing with really rude college kids, especially on crazy nights out. The University bus loop comes around very frequently and you can go anywhere within 30 minutes. After 5:30pm, the bus stops going to the main bus stop. On Monday-Saturdays, you can sit in the OPT main office to wait for your bus. The Cooperstown comes every 2 hours on Saturdays. And the Southside bus only begins running at 12 noon on weekends and stops running at 5:30pm. It would be fantastic if there could be a Southside bus that runs later into the night for people that have stuff to do during the day. There is a bus tracker app so you don't need to stand in the cold waiting for a bus!

If you ever visit Oneonta, you can be instantly shuttled to Cooperstown and visit Glimmerglass Opera, or the Ommegang Brewery or Baseball Hall of Fame. Or ride to Otsego and surrounding towns. I love walking to town and jumping on the Southside bus - that hits all the good stores in the mall, with the addition of stopping at the Hannaford, as well as BB&B, the movies, Office Depot, and {ugh} Wal-Mart! Alternatively, one could get their daily walk in (about 45 minutes to Hannaford from the SUNY campus) and then pick up the bus back. The SUNY campus has a couple stops, one at the library and the other near Alumni Hall and the dorms. When the kids come back from school, I hear the bus drivers drive them a little farther so they don't have to walk all the way to the dorms with heavy suitcases. Nice! They have cool schedules. Running every half-hour, all the buses meet together on Main St., so they totally always are sitting together for 5 minutes. Student rate is $1. What else? The Drivers are extremely friendly, courteous, laid back and have always been out-of-their way friendly to me. But they don't stop for latecomers!

Not only did A & D not show up because they said they had no cars available, they canceled it, so I did not get a different taxi, and neither MAS or A & D told me--waiting for them to show up to take me to the doctor. May I never have to use their service again. They do not care about their clients at all. I use to pay sometimes also for their services since I lost my car in a scam, may I never have to use A & D again ever. I live in a rural area, with little transportation. I hate this area sometimes--it is so nitwit and flaky when it comes to some basic services, hassle this, hassle that.

My son's appointment ended at 4:30 PM, and I immediately called A&D Transport Services to request pickup. I was told the driver was only 15 minutes away. After 15 minutes passed with no arrival, I called again. Over the next hour, I made a call trying to get an update. Eventually, the doctor's office was closed, and we were still waiting for transportation. It was not until 6:26 PM that someone finally arrived to pick us up. When the vehicle arrived, there was already a stranger sitting in the front seat, which made the situation even more uncomfortable and concerning. No one should be left waiting for hours without reliable service. This experience was extremely frustrating and unacceptable.

Depending which bus you get, you can have an old grimey one or a nice decently clean one. There have been several incidents where I've heard stories that sound like nightmares. I haven't had horrible experiences here, but I can't say that service is excellent. You're in a town where there is no competition, so don't expect much. I came here with a ticket Trailways mailed me after writing to them about their bad customer service back in NYC and this location was about to turn it down and tell me they cannot accept it. Hm. You must buy tickets in person in order to receive student discount. There are many snacks, notebooks, and sudoku books in this trailways for in-ride entertainment. Everything is decently priced. I'd suggest getting snacks that look like they've been flying off the shelves (like their strawberry Poptarts) because there are some things that look a bit old. There are a few chairs inside to stay warm in the winter during the hours Trailways office is open. There are also toilets. I was surprised that Trailways has busses that bring you all the way to Alaska from a tiny town like Oneonta.

It isn't the first year you're doing this. If you want our business, students should be treated like human beings. It doesn't matter that we are young. We are your patrons and Trailways needs to step up their game. There's a huge need for these buses. Students rely on them to get to and from home. Changes need to be made in order to improve the experience on Trailways buses and waiting for the buses. I was recently going from Oneonta to NYC. That's such a huge stop to be getting off at, yet the bus was 40 minutes late and everyone waiting for it never got an explanation or an update as to where the bus was or when it would arrive after it not arriving at 11:10am when it was scheduled to arrive. If the tickets are no longer interchangeable for different ride times, then we as patrons need to be updated. The attitudes of the Trailways bus drivers also need to be corrected. The bathroom here was closed for females and the male bathroom looked like a scene out of the SAW movies. Run-down facilities, many snacks you can buy, although I wouldn't recommend it, arcade games, and food and drink vending machines. Very limited seating inside and the office isn't always open for you to wait for a bus in, so be mindful of what time you buy your ticket for because if the bus is before 8 or after 4:30pm, be prepared to wait outside for your bus to arrive.

Not only is making their customers print physical copies of their tickets an inconvenience, it also is not environmentally conscious. Don't even get me started on the Wi-Fi on these buses. This place isn't worth the price that you pay. There are plenty of other options in the area for places to stay. The ceilings and walls had tons of tiny little spiders. I cleaned them off before I slept. Yes, we did get a room with a hot tub, but how many tiny little insects have crawled into that? It doesn't matter to me that the furniture and bed sheets don't look the most modern, but cleanliness is very important. The included breakfast also was really bad. They had super processed off brand cakes available. I might as well just go to the gas station across the street and eat a hot dog for breakfast. This is a good hotel location if you want to go out to the bars with a couple friends for one weekend and split a room. It is right near Sal's pizzeria and Oneonta hots. If you have a car, it is about a 2 minute drive to McDonalds, Buffalo Wild Wings, Taco Bell, Panera, Moe's, Walmart, and Dennys. It is near the bus stop for the main street route too. Easy to get around from this location, but if you want a cozy hotel to actually enjoy the room, I wouldn't choose this location. There's a lot of parking right outside your room. There are sketchy people that live here. One guy was just lurking outside my door came up to me asking for a ride to Cooperstown. Stranger danger!

We were desperate and didn't read the reviews before we went (much to our dismay). From the outside, it looks fine. Inside the room... ugh. I opened the window to fix the smell and investigated more to discover cobwebs, bugs in the bathroom, very dirty microwave, what Looked like white powder and dead bugs by the wall in the corners. Ugh. For your own sake, never stay here...
