Went to go visit a friend in Peoria and said that I was hungry, so she took me to this cute little place. Loved the atmosphere. This is a great place to kick back and people watch. Steady influx of customers not only dining in, but also getting orders to go to take back to the dorms or houses (I mean it is a stones throw from Bradley). They had me at fresh and made from scratch. There were so many choices! I decided to go with their spinach melt. Description: Their homemade spinach and basil pesto topped with shredded cheese and baked to perfection. Served open faced on italian bread with hummus and your choice of side. I opted for the chunky fruit salad. My friend went with their portabella quesadilla. Both of the options were amazing! The cheese was super melted and stretched as you pulled the sandwich apart, which is a sign that it is grilled to perfection, or close to it. The portion sizes were just right and totally hit the spot! I was highly impressed and next time I am in the area, I will head back for sure! read more

Enjoy this place in past, but last nite, was disappointment. Had Gyro dinner. Meat was terribly dry and pita was as like a wood plank. Something was off. Will return, but won't ever order this dinner again. read more

One World has is a super chill joint. I had the pizza; beware, they are much larger than you expect. The pizza itself was pretty good, I had the BBQ chicken. We had the cheesy flat bread as an appetizer, which was more like a cheese pizza. By the end of the meal I was pretty "pizza'ed-out" Server was very friendly read more

I'm giving four stars, because it's been over a year since I've been at One World Cafe and my memory is not that great. I can't be specific on what I got or what my wife got, but all I remember is that we enjoyed the atmosphere and enjoyed the food enough that had we gotten married in Peoria, we would have had One World Cafe cater. I can't wait to go back to Peoria just for One World Cafe. read more

Tried One World today for the first time and it is everything everyone makes it it to be. The food was outstanding, service was fantastic (Chad was our server) and the atmosphere couldn't have been better. I had the Reuben, it was served with delicious shoestring fries and the meat was shaved very thin almost to the point it fell apart. They didn't go overboard on the sauerkraut or 1000 island dressing like some establishments do with there Reubens. My colleague had the "one hell of a burger" and enjoyed it as well. I will definitely be back read more

People have praised about this place but I find it pretty ordinary. There are many food choices on the menu from different cuisines as the name might suggest- "one world." I ordered a falafel and it was ok. The pita bread looked stale, the greek yogurt (ziti sauce) tasted alright and the hummus was nothing short of ordinary. The waiter who was managing our table looked not so enthusiastic either. But that has nothing to do with food. Places serving a lot of varieties of food tend to loose their specialty since trying to cater so many audiences. One world faces a similar dilemma. Good to try once but wouldn't want to go their again. read more

A great place for a steak and lots of variety for non meat eater. A lot of special appetizers and a good line of beers.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Peoria. I love it so much that I recommended it to all of our visiting wedding guests two months ago...many were equally pleased! The World Turkey Club is to die for along with the delicious hummus. So happy that the restaurant has expanded in size over the past 5 years...now more people can experience the amazingness of One World at a time! :) read more

The food at One World has always amazed me. They have such fresh ingredients. I recommend the pizza! It's always very crowded at lunch and they can be a bit slow. I usually end up here when we've got a vegan or vegetarian in our group because they have a lot of options. They do gluten free too. read more

You can't go wrong from their Pizza (Chicago area brothers started the place), to waffles, hummus, spinach salad, artichoke dip and beverages....something for everyone and an easy going place. read more

Great spot to check out when passing through or stopping in Peoria. Good craft beer selection and interesting menu. Great service, only complaint was that it was cold in the room near the door, but they were busy so the door kept opening and I guess that's a great problem to have! I had the Reuben sandwich! Awesome on toasted the. Really saucy and drippily delicious! My wife had the bistro salad and loved it, and my daughter had the kids pizza. Nice touch cutting it into wedges! Saves mom and dad the hassle. All in all we had an awesome experience. Talk beer with the bar staff. The dude with the beard really knew his stuff. read more

An eclectic selection in a bohemian atmosphere. You are likely to see a neo-hippie or two and some original hippies (now college professors) among the "regular" people when you dine here. In addition to their wide ranging food menu, they have an extensive drink selection. Wait staff is generally friendly and generally off the beaten track. All the food I have had here has been good, but not exceptional. One World is a nice option to have as an alternative to the chain restaurants. read more

I am a vegetarian and this place is a gem for all the vegetarian peeps !! Its looks like a college canteen but the food served from Falafel to stuffed pepper is just amazing ... My previous review of One World was harsh, and not unduly so. But I have to admit, since that review I have had 2 opportunities to enjoy their fare, and both times it has been well done. I think some of their menu changes in the past few years have been great. The place is still all about the yuppies and hippies, but you can't fault a business for catering to their base of customers. Being right across from Bradley University, I am sure that is what sells. Well done One World. You changed my mind. Also, props to the owner for posting up a response! read more

We live in chicago... So many reasons why my husband and I love One World cafe - so many yummy gluten free options, gf substitutes for pizza are free and let substitutes are only $1, drinks are super cheap and happy hour they are $5, and they care about the environment! We always come here after my specialist appointments down here in Peoria. And service is always friendly. read more

Quite expensive but the food is premium quality and the location is great to walk to if you are close to Bradley University. Small vegan menu but it's impressive that they have that in the first place! read more

I was in Peoria for 1 month for business and I went to One World about 4-5 times during my stay there. I love the place! Big menu - I got something different every time I went. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere overall. I recommend the baked scrambled eggs for breakfast. The pizzas are great too for lunch or dinner. By the way, the tiramisu is one of the best that I've had. There is also free wi-fi! read more

This is a really original restaurant with awesome food! Lots of delicious and creative options, and it is especially good for vegetarians or vegans! Lots of items can be subbed with tofu, or soy cheese. The appetizers are worth while in themselves. Its a fun and eclectic place with changing artwork that you can buy. Because the food is so good and this place is very popular with students, the down-side to this restaurant is that it is always busy and always pretty noisy. Sometimes the wait for food can take a while, but its worth it. read more

We were in Peoria for a wedding with little knowledge of the area or where to eat. Luckily, the savvy Yelpers of Peoria helped lead us to One World. Unfortunately, we let Google Maps lead us physically to One World, and walked through the not-so-pretty parts of Peoria... but that's beside the point. Casual and comfortable, One World has a full menu and breakfast is served ALL DAY! This is such a plus. I got the bagel sandwich with an egg, cheese and bacon. It was huge and filling, and the One World potatoes on the side were seasoned nicely. My partner got a similar sandwich... a taco or pizza flavored egg deal, and he got the hash browns instead of diced potatoes and was clearly jealous of my delicious potatoes. The hash browns are just patties like you get at a fast food joint. All the food we saw come out of the kitchen looked delicious. If I ever find myself back in Peoria, I may eat every meal there. read more

This is a fun place to eat with an eclectic menu and and they do a great job catering to gluten and dairy allergies! The mint tea is pretty pricey at $3.50 a glass but delicious enough to get it :). The bacon cheese fries and chips and salsa (pico de gallo) appetizers were good. I had the eggplant lasagna minus the dairy which was pretty tasty - others at the table loved the kids and adult Mac & cheeses. Sun dried tomato balsamic vinaigrette on the side salad had tons of flavor. Gluten free bread was an option with everything. I'll definitely return to try some more of their menu - and probably drinks and bakery too! read more

Had a great breakfast sandwich this morning at One World. Waitress was friendly and attentive and the coffee was excellent! I would definitely recommend this place for a quick breakfast or coffee. read more

Our server was so friendly and helpful. I do sometimes ask- maybe too many questions about food- but there wasn't one she didn't know or wasn't willing to check. We ordered the portobello mushroom burger with tabouli salad- my son had cheese quesadillas and loved them. I also took home and later enjoyed a vegan chocolate banana brownie (I think). I love when restaurant staff is aware of how food is prepared. I would definitely return. read more

I hadn't been to One World Cafe for about a year and boy was I disappointed! The menu used to be good and they used to have specials on a daily one-time menu. That's done. They only offer what's on the printed menu. I wanted bacon and eggs, but they only do "scrambles" which means that they mush a bunch of things together into a pan and bake it. And I don't mean bake it when you order it... I mean hours (days?) beforehand, so what you get is a reheated rubbery egg dish with no flavor. Yuck! My friend got the eggplant lasagna and it was chewy and tasteless...and, of course, it was rewarmed in a microwave. Later, she had a piece of cheesecake that was not homemade. I had a warmed over cinnamon bun, again, not homemade. It tasted like someone had taken white bread dough and rolled it up. Nothing special. What happened One World? I used to bring out of towners to this place to prove that Peoria was cool? Worse yet, my friend's (well, used to be friend) husband works under the table *at night* doing construction, plumbing and wiring for One World Cafe's owner. This means they are NOT paying qualified union people to work there. Shame, shame, One World. What happened to this place? read more

Overpriced, disappointing food. I've lived 5 minutes from this restaurant for 15 years, and I have watched the prices go up while the food quality continues to decline. I keep on giving it one more chance, and I'm disappointed every time. Tonight I was served rubbery, inedible chicken on my $12 salad. read more

I had a wonderful experience here. Fantastic service, great vibes, the food was not only delicious, but memorable and I can't wait to get back. My service and food were so good, I feel guilty holding back that fifth star. But, alas, I must. The two things that kept me from the fifth star: #1 bad espresso. I mean, yeah, this is not your focus, but still. Your shirts boast coffee. If it would have been 1999, I would have been happy with the shots served with lemon, but espresso quality and culture have come so far. #2 bad murals. I will not elaborate further on that. Just could have a much more chill and classy environment. read more

What a great find in a place like Peoria, IL. We've even adapted one of their amazing recipes, Eggplant Lasagna, as one of our regulars. It's nice to have a way to make vegan, gluten free lasagna that tastes so amazing. We were referred here by the running store down the street, where we bought too many pairs of Vibram FiveFingers. Glad they sent us here. read more

This restaurant is one of my all time favorites. First, I love the eclectic laid back style of the staff and the space. The staff is always on top of things and the service has never been poor. They also have a menu that satisfies everyone. I eat here monthly with colleagues and everyone's palate is happy. The Southwest Wrap is by far my favorite meal, or rather I should say two meals, because the portions rock! Pair that with some world class hummus or the soup of the day and you have the ultimate meal. I recommend this place if you are in Peoria! read more

Stopped here on a road trip. Hawaiian Hazelnut coffee was a great start. Our server was efficient and very friendly. I had the Cajun Fish Sandwich. I knew it was going to be good when I broke off the end of the filet sticking out and the flavor of the fish was amazing, now add the aioli and slaw and it couldn't be beat. Mom had the cheddar broccoli soup and a grilled cheese. It looked nice and thick and gooey. read more

I have been here a few times and find the ambiance pleasant and welcoming. It can be busy at times which does require you to be a bit patient for service. The food is good with a fine selection of beers and when not busy, the waitresses friendly and accommodating. I like coming here and will do so again but mostly when I'm in the area rather than a place I would go out of my way to eat in. It's a good place for good food. read more

What makes a place stand out, even more than great food, (which One World definitely has-I had the spring wrap and roll with tchicken and a Thai peanut sauce- and a side salad with fantastic sun-dried tomato vinaigrette--Great combination of flavors - amazing) .- is the attitude of the servers ans staff... , from the time I walked in, Great experience, greeted by a friendly and fun hostess, bartenders, were fun, and right on;-- and even waitresses passing me by hello, everybody 's smiling everybody's happy and that just comes right on through to all the customers--The attitude of the employees here Really makes everybody feel great! Great place in good location to stop in for Brunch, Lunch or Dinner. Very good food and fantastic menu

The chicken with spiced rice. The salad and hummus. The chicken shawarma was to die for.

Awesome place with plenty of options for all diets and lifestyles. The vegan options were clear and easy to customize. The vegan cheese quesadilla was so good and the pizza was even better. Our server was very polite and attentive. Will definitely be back whenever we are in the area. read more

This restaurant is definitely overrated. I heard nothing but good thigns but ended up disappointed. The wait was long, the service was terrible, and their "famous" hummus wasn't as amazing as people raved. Also, when I showed the waitress my first check in on my phone to receive my free tote bag, she accused me of trying to con my way into getting free things from the restaurant. Yup, never going there again. read more

Was there for bfast. I got homemade granola - too sweet. Bf got a scramble and he thought it was okay/good. The coffee was marginal and very weak. I added a shot of espresso which helped. The atmosphere is okay, but needs some sprucing up (torn painted walls). Not a fan of entering a place that presents itself as having quality, healthy options but has candy machines at the entrance. Maybe it's so Midwest commonplace nobody notices here. read more

It has been about two years since I have gotten to enjoy coffee at One World Cafe. Stopped by to grab a quick cup before hitting the road back to Texas. Pleasantly surprised to find the barista remembered my husband and me from always stopping in when we were in town preparing for our wedding. All we had was coffee, but it was just as good as we remembered. My favorite drink here is the Turtle, served hot, which I enjoyed this morning.
