I'm not sure what the hype is for this spot. We went yesterday about noon, but ordered breakfast. The server was very friendly, but order taking was slow, coffee refills were slow, meal delivery out of the kitchen was slow and cold. Coffee was tepid. The food tasted OK -- not the best I've ever had, but it didn't make us sick. I had the Breakfast Quesadilla with fruit. The honeydew and strawberries were good; the blueberries were over-ripe and needed to be tossed. DH had the fruit waffle. It was dark, which he likes. The strawberry sauce was good but he said the syrup was the best syrup he's ever tasted. The AC was on in the restaurant so it was cold and I think we were sitting right under a vent which didn't help when the food came out of the kitchen cold. Great menu selections, and even better deserts! I was promptly greeted and seated for a late lunch. The server was quick to greet me as well and take my drink order. The menu offered many options. I additionally noticed the Vegan and gluten free selections as well. I ordered the Salmon which was a great portion size and Included vegetables and rice. I would have rated it a 5 star but the vegetables were dry but other than that the food was delicious. They had numerous choices for dessert and I settled on the raspberry cheesecake. Great food, great atmosphere. Must try the spinach artichoke dip!!! Fish Tacos are great, waffles are huge, tzatziki is delish, pizzas are yummy unique and very shareable! The staff here is amazing and make you feel so comfortable and chill. Great place for lunch/breakfast, alone time, date time, anytime! Coffee is yummy, cbd french press is great, be sure to ask for a milk alternative and whatever syrup fits your fancy; I suggest the lavender! Great atmosphere, gluten free and vegan options, it's just the best. I wish they had a garlic hummus because their hummus is great on its own. A little on the pricer side but you get tons of very shareable/packable food. Has to be one of my favorite places in the area. :) read more

Wife and I stopped by for lunch. Fast friendly service. Very spacious inside. Very unexpected from viewing the building from the outside. Royale burger was cooked perfect. Main reason for my review was to talk about the pie I had afterwards. The Reese's Peanut Butter pie stole the show!!!! Best pie I've ever had. Sooo good. A must try! Stayed in the area for the night and found this place for breakfast. It looked promising and the Elvis waffle sounded wonderful. I ordered curbside pickup and got an Elvis waffle (even though they were out of bananas ) and a breakfast quesadilla with a side of hash browns. The quesadilla wasn't bad, but personally I would've preferred some kind of sauce to add a zing. It did come with a side of sour cream, but since it's a breakfast quesadilla, I think even salsa would be a better side option to compliment the eggs/meat in the quesadilla. I was also kinda bummed that the hash browns came as patties just like they have at McDonald's. They were definitely crispier and not as greasy as McDonald's hash browns, but still the same basic flavor. Nothing special. But now it was time to dig into the Elvis waffle... it was alright. The actual waffle itself was kind of thin and there were no outstanding taste of spice. The bacon on top was delicious and it did compliment the sweetness of the overall dish once I got the syrup and peanut butter put on. The most disappointing thing about the waffle to me was that the peanut butter was the really rich peanut butter icing that you'd find on top of cupcakes.. i was really wanting some rich smooth peanut butter topping. Personally I think it would've had a better taste altogether. Pretty decent pricing and serving sizes though and if I'm in the area again, I may check back and try something different. read more

In 1994 I visited a good friend in Peoria for a month. I went to the fledgling One World almost every morning. On my first visit the barista told me that the darkest roast the cafe served was Columbian. I said if I wanted Columbian I would buy a can of Folgers. What should we have, she asked? Have always had fantastic service here! Food is delicious and there is lots to choose from. It does feel like the restaurant is trying to accommodate to everyone, so the menu is a little daunting and overwhelming. Good choices of vegan, GF and organic. The staff is nice and knowledgeable, which is a pleasant change from many establishments that normally cater to a college crowd, as I'm sure they are frequently stiffed on tips or have to deal with unruly clientele. read more

For a community flush with good places to eat, One World offers an eclectic menu with plenty to offer for anyone looking for something different with enough choices for simple eaters as well. Moreover, they serve a great selection of breakfast fare and I've been told their coffee selection is superior to anything you can get in town. I personally don't drink coffee but the selections seem both inspired and warming. My only complaint is that I wish the menu would change a bit more often. The meal design show a flair for the creative and I wish they would exercise that talent more often. read more

Came here from Chicago on a recommendation from a client, and was told to get the Cuban Sandwich. Gotta say, was not impressed in the least. It was not a Cuban in any way, shape, or form. The pork was nice, but that's all that it was. The pizza that our friends got was pretty good, though. I couldn't eat much of it due to having eaten my entire "Cuban." Delicious food and great service as well. I ordered a cup of the soup of the day (7 bean) which was very flavorful, and I ordered the Thai peanut salad with tofu. The salad was brought out with chicken, so I sent it back and the manager came out to apologize and let me know that they were remaking because he didn't want meat to be touching the salad at all. The remade salad came out only about 5 minutes later, and wow was it good! I ate the whole thing, down to the last drop of the creamy peanut dressing. I would definitely return and try other items on the menu. Don't be alarmed that they have a wide array of menu items--they are all very good! Wow! I'd heard great things and read good reviews. This place is serious. I had a half lb burger w another half lb gyros (you can pick corned beast or pulled poke or 8 slices bacon or another half lb patty as your second meat). The burger was very good - and not half lb before cooking. It was a big burger. You always wonder whether gyros will be good or not. They were even better than the burger. The bacon cheese fries are awesome. I ordered an angioplasty balloon, defibrillator paddles, and a rosary with mine. I can't recommend this place highly enough. The reviews are right.
