ok so this place is NOT that good. I've heard it's the new thing around town so I went to check it out. Looks pretty nice, probably because it's new, but that's about it. If you're looking for someplace new then go here.. because it's new. If you're looking for some goooood sushi/sashimi, then... noooot this place. No. This is the place to go if you're looking for some cheap sushi/sashimi. Honestly though I would rather pay like what.. $5 more dollars? and get like 50x better tasting sushi. read more

One Third is fantastic. Highly Recommended! They have a variety of cuisines including Japanese, Chinese, and Thai. The sushi is out of this world! They have wonderful lunch specials. If you are looking to go for dinner, it is not necessary but recommended to call ahead for reservations. read more

Surprisingly not a bad place. The joint looks clean. Almost too clean. The interior design is also very modern and fashionable. Almost too so. My "food for white people" alarm began sounding and I debated setting a course for the nearest starbase at warp factor 7. The sushi was made well. There was a proper fish to rice ratio and the fish quality was on par with any other place in the area. Did you know that the Moonies own True World Group, which control the great majority of sushi fish distribution in the United States? I guess what I'm trying to say was that the fish was standard but really when it comes to sushi quality it's all going to be in the prep and it was just fine here. We also tried their Thai curry. It was appropriately spicy and strong. Only complaint was that I didn't get enough rice in my takeout order. Sometimes it's good having the wrong first impression. read more

Really.....not bad! :). I'm Thai so I usually judge the places that have more than one type of cuisine on their menu...but after trying this place, I'll have to admit their Pad Thai was really pretty good! Their sushi was fresh (though I can taste that these were not made by Japanese sushi master(s)...but they're quite tasty! Since I don't eat raw sushi at this time, I ordered avocado/peanut sushi, salmon skin sushi and volcano sushi..they're all pretty good! I especially liked the avocado/peanut sushi. We ordered the Tuna Tataki appetizer for the table and they all loved it! and lettuce wraps were delish! The place was chill and service was great. Would definitely go there next time! read more

Place is NEW! Nice and clean, TV is good location if you are into that thing. BYO! Fish was fresh and service was awesome. There isn't much to the place but they did a good job with the space they have and the people there are very nice. We love sushi and we'd definitely go back to this place even though it's a few more minutes to get to than some other "downtown" locations. We have been eating here for over a year and a half. We have done take out, lunch and dinner. We have never been disappointed in our service or food. We ate here on 11/22/2013 and the place was packed. We should of called and reserved a table. But the wait wasn't too bad, about 20 minutes. It is great to see a good place so busy! Great food! Always happy with our sushi rolls and prices are comparable to all other good sushi places in area. The food, ambiance, and service keep us coming back here over other places. Be ready to wait a loooong time, though, if it's a Friday or Saturday night. They should hire an extra sushi chef or something for weekends because on several occasions we've waited almost 45 minutes for our rolls. They always have a coupon! Maybe in clipper magazine? Or valpak? And on their website, too. Usually 5 off 30 is what we use! read more

All the good reviews brought me here, but I won't be going back. Maybe the Chinese is good. I didn't try it. I ordered two rolls and Chicken Pad Thai. The rolls were pedestrian, nothing special at all. The Pad Thai had an odd and overly sweet flavor. It also had red peppers in it, which I've never seen. It tasted like cough syrup or something. I threw it out and went to my old standby - CJT Bistro in BT. Much better overall and I don't think it's anything wonderfully special, but at least it tastes good. read more

Second time for this gem of a restaurant. Great calm atmosphere and very modern. Service was excellent. The waitresses were duper helpful, pleasant and accommodating. Lots of smiles. The windows add to the atmosphere. This time 3 of us had rolls. The mango rolls were excellent and the presentation was very nice as well. The sushi dinner was very fresh and none if us left one thing on our plates. The other meal selections looked. Interesting and there was something for everyone's taste. Priced reasonably and easy to get to. Definitely recommend and will be back. Byob was accommodated. We had a bottle that was hard to open and the staff had a laugh over our problem and worked to get the bottle open for us. read more

Hubby and I called them on Valentines day and we were able to get an early (430pm) reservation. It is a small, quaint restaurant. We loved the food and the service was great! I had the Thai green curry which was very good, even brought home leftovers for lunch the next day. We will definitley be going back! read more

Great service and food. This is our default destination for quick sushi/Thai/Chinese/Japanese at a reasonable price. My s/o always orders the chicken lettuce wraps which she loves (especially the dipping sauce). The place is small but is usually busy around dinner time, but the wait isn't ever too long. I think this is due to the staff being very responsive and efficient...meals come out quick and there's no "wasted" time waiting for someone to get you something or to refill your drinks. It's BYO, so you'll need to supply your own alcohol, but that's he only downside to this place if you consider that a downside. However this greatly reduces your meal bill and you can bring in whatever beer or wine you want instead of going with only whatever overpriced stuff the restaurant would have. Overall, this is our default destination for quick Asian food...well above the quick Chinese restaurants and a lot more efficient than he bigger hibachi places where you go for a show and much larger dinner bill. read more

Been there once for lunch, so only have experience with the lunch menu. In short a blending of Thai, Japanese and Chinese cuisines. Lunch menu is focused on "Bento Boxes" that combine a (Thai, Chinese, or Japanese) entree with a sushi roll, cheese filled wonton, white rich accompanied by a salad and miso soup. I like the idea, but the execution could be better. Miso soup was tasteless and boring. The salad was delicious with a very unique salad dressing. Love it. I had the Kung Po chicken - a B- execution. Chicken was overcooked, but the veg. and sauce was decent. The Sweet Potato roll that came with it was served without Soy and was dry and lifeless. Price was very reasonable - abut $8. I would go back, but not my first choice of local Asian places. read more

Lunch bento box prices are so reasonable and delicious. Great for meeting with friends, you do have to pay for the hot tea though.

I really like this place for a bunch of reasons! It is close to my house and the takeout is always fresh and prompt. I love how you can order hibachi to go since I really don't like the whole hibachi experience, but love the food! Their sushi definitely isn't the best in the valley (try the other fish or Kome), but it is good and always a hit with my family. The iron man roll is our favorite! I've only ever ordered take out.... And take out sushi at that. The prices are fair for the amount of food that you receive. The sushi is ok..... Depending what you get something's are good but definitely not great. I have been there multiple times and probably will order from there again, however I definitely prefer Tokyo Do over them even if they are a bit pricier. read more

Their steak hibachi is to die for! Also very happy they have red bean paste mochi since only Robatas of Allentown had it (unfortunately they are closed now). Anyways, One Third's atmosphere is very warm and inviting and if you don't feel like eating in the restaurant, you can always order it as take out and it will still taste like the five stars inside. Food was great! The shrimp in my sushi was fried fresh and that is really hard to find. Usually other restaurants would serve you something that was fried an hour ago. The service was also good, nothing to complain about. Would go back for sure! read more

Just had the pad Thai and it was vile, sickeningly sweet & smelled like feet with a burning in the back of my throat. I was with 2 others and the hibachi and chicken dishes were fine. My whole family loves One Third. Everything is made fresh to order. The pork dumplings with a homemade sweet and tangy dipping sauce is to die for. The filet mignon hibachi is my son's favorite dish. The filet is so tender that it melts in your mouth! One of my favorite dishes is the chicken Yaki Udon. My husband really likes the seafood hibachi. The homemade salad dressing for the salad that comes with the hibachi meals is excellent. You can BYOB to dinner as well. One of the owners, Fay, is truly one of the nicest, sweetest people ever. She has a wonderful personality and always comes over to the table to ask how our meal was. You can definitely tell that the owners have much pride in their restaurant by the high quality great food and top of the line customer service. read more

I love One Third. I moved to town about 2 years ago and was desperately trying to find a new sushi place. One third has a great location, a quiet atmosphere and amazing food. On my first visit I got the OT Combo Hibachi with filet mignon and scallops and their spices scallop roll. I was far from disappointed. My fiancé and I still go about once every two weeks! Oh! Food is good. There's a pet peeve of mine that I think I should mention. The sign says that the restaurant opens at 11:00am. However, they often don't let you sit until 11:15 or so because the staff is still cleaning. If your sign says that you are open at 11, you should be ready to serve the customers at 11:01 - just good business policy imho. read more

I've tried them twice now at lunch time. The Steak Teraki Bento Box was very good. Steak was done perfectly (medium), tender and flavorful. It's served with sauteed veggies, crab rangoon, miso soup, salad and Jasmine rice. It really is too much food for lunch but well worth the price. On my next trip I tried the Green Lantern Roll (Lobster tempura, cream cheese, asparagus, topped with avocado and spicy eel sauce) and a side of Fried Rice. The roll was pricey but outstanding and generously portioned. The Fried Rice, unfortunately, was a bust. It had little flavor, was greasy, over fried and not much to it but rice, egg and what might have been chopped onions. I would have given them 5 stars if not for that awful Fried Rice. Service for take out is fine though calling ahead is probably a good idea to save wait time. read more

My husband and I discovered this place a few months ago, and we have been here more times than we can count - we're addicted! The sushi is better than any other local restaurant, and they have amazing prices for lunch. Service is impeccable (they remember our drinks at this point and deliver them to us as we're seated without us asking) and staff is very friendly. My husband was interested in uni at one point. While they did not have it during a particular visit, they advised it would be delivered soon and offered to even text my husband when it arrived. That's above and beyond in my book. A fourt star review for this place! I am brutally honest when it comes to food, and this review will be no different. I have absolute reverence for good, family owned places and most of my reviews will reflect that. On the same note, I detest pretentious. over-priced establishments that feed of the veneer of their exterior vur completely hollow inside. I have been here twice and was horrified with the food. They are the over-priced version of the hundreds of chinese take-aways and buffets in the area. They even have the same items, simply dressed up in a fancy looking menu and with different names. Gyoza (fried pork dumplings), Yaki Tori (grilled chicken on skewers)! In addition to this, they have the usual Americanized chinese items like general Tso's and some Thai and Japanese dishes. Their food is bland and you can find most of their menu items in chinese buffets. Their food is not even better than the buffets. Its bland and inconsistent. The sauces lack seasoning, on occasions too sweet and for the price, simply bad. I cannot understand why people would want to pay more to have the same food they can eat at the buffets or take outs and tastes considerably worser than most. Yes the restaurant looks clean and has some pretentious fancy decor. But is that the sole criteria? Not for me. I went back a second time because I really thought the first time was a fluke. It was not. One third is a gigantic disappointment. read more

One Third has great, fresh sushi that is always quick service (the max they have quoted me is 15 min until my food is ready). Their restaurant is also really clean, which is especially important when a restaurant is making sushi. All of the employees are super friendly, too! Really no complaints with One Third; but I would say their sushi is definitely the best thing on the menu, I've had their bento boxes before and they were just okay. read more

I have been there numerous times since their opening (four times with my husband and twice with my sister). I usually like to try a new restaurant out a couple of times before I submit a review in order to gauge the consistency of their food and service. I'm happy to say that One Third does not disappoint. The food and service are top notch. The sushi is fresh and the dumplings are delicious. Their entree portions are generous as well.
