Following that service, I discovered that the lugnuts on my rear tire had not been properly tightened -- a serious safety hazard that could have caused a wheel separation while driving. Insurance came out on 12/15/22, towed to Muffler Man on 12/16/22, they called on 12/17/22 and were ready to fix it. They had to wait for the insurance people to show upon 12/20/22 and it was fixed that day for 1/3 of the price others had quoted. They did a great job, were fast, friendly and very profession!

I was impressed, so when my car started making sounds and the brakes were acting up I brought it in. the job was done in an average time frame. not super quick, but completely acceptable. the price was good as well, comparable to other shops. the manager Don, knows his job, and does it well. He keeps the shop working and the cars rolling. I'll be bringing my van here soon when the brakes actually do go bad.

We were quoted $160 for this service by phone and text. LJ at front desk accepted car, we did not hear from them for more than 24 hours. Daughter received text stating cost would be $250 including a "diagnosis fee", and she declined to sign (I had diagnosed the problem). On phone they then said they only changed REAR differential fluid (NOT what we asked for or were quoted) and front problem persisted-we were polite during this time. We were then quoted additional $200 for front diff service. We went to store, LJ was at computer and said "It will be a minute" while we waited.... After 2 minutes he finally looked up and engaged with my daughter, then went to get manager. Manager mostly pleasant but only addressed me (owner daughter standing right there) and was condescending when I asked specifics regarding the work to be done stating "you let me handle the mechanics of the car". They finally did the front diff/transmission fluid change at a "discount" of $150 after having car for 3 days! Checked and they overfilled fluid by at least 1 quart. Had front diff serviced again at another shop.

They didn't pressure me into getting the work done, they said it was up to me. It only needed mufflers.The price was exactly what was quoted. My wife's car was making loud noise. She got a quote from another service station, $200 to fix. I brought it to Muffler Man in Ionia . They put it on the rack and showed me where the exhaust manifold was loose. I at first said no but he insisted. Which it was nice of him to want to help me out. I waited quite a while then decided to take a quick trip to meijer (my mom came and picked me up). About 10 to 15 mins later we are back and my car was parked outside. I went inside and grabbed the keys to start my car up. It sounded like a go kart. I was going to go around the block to being it back. My car didn't even go half a block before it stalled. Started it again and got myself out of the road. Checked the oil and there was absolutely no oil in my engine. I took a picture and called them up. They came down and put oil in my engine and apologized up and down. I get people make mistakes. How muffler man handled the mistake is is where the problem lies. They did nothing but give me a free oil change voucher and told me to come back of I have any issues with the vehicle. They also told me no damage was done to the engine. Which is 100% lie. All I wanted was my engine replaced with one that had similar miles to the one I had in my car (i blew my engine because I had very little oil in it and had to replace it.) Muffler man should have replaced the engine and let me have the work done where ever I wanted and they should have provided a rental vehicle for me to use while my car was getting fixed. It wasn't my fault they did what they did. I wasn't going back to there to have muffler man touch my vehicle. That isn't being mean to the employees, the business in general I would not step foot into even if they were the only mechanic shop within a million miles. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MUFFLER MAN!

He wanted to do diagnostics first before anything else was done . So that is what we did . They were so thorough, honest and he was such a gentleman . It turned out that everything with my van was fine and instead of an $800 bill it was $60 ! While I was waiting he was so kind to me and kept me updated on what they were doing in the garage . Also, for some reason my oil change light came on . He checked that also and said that I do not need an oil change at this time and in another Thousand Miles have that done . So honest !
