They did off at least I hope they did my fluids, but I'm accustomed to making sure the lights work that no bulbs need to be replaced, that they spray your door hinges, check your tires. Make sure they don't need air. None of that was done so I was a little disappointed over that. If I'm gonna pay good money to get my oil changed. Then later it came on and stayed on. I pulled over (at 1:am and 7 miles from home) and let the oil settle before I checked the dip stick. When I did, there was barely a drop on the end of it. I looked under the car and there was a puddle of oil. Had it towed to Walmart and the next day I walked there to have them look at it. When they did, they said the oil filter came off in only HALF of a turn. It was never tightened down. They ran new oil through and metal shavings came out. They said the latch to my hood was broken so they can't change my oil and i need it taken to a dealership so they can remove my front bumper to fix the latch. I drove to another valvoline to get a second opinion before I took it to ford and the guy literally said "yeah, whoever did it last must've broke it". I said "well the valvoline on E Kalamazoo did it last?" and he said I should call and make a damage claim. I now get to pay around $500 dollars to fix THEIR mistake from messing up my hood. I called damage claim and she couldn't find me anywhere in their system (even looking up my VIN number) so I had to go back to get proof they worked on my car. This is a huge expensive mess and I would never recommend going here.

It used to be run by some scary people doing sketchy things. Once I pulled in for an oil change and they informed me that they didn't have any oil or any oil filters (?!). That was then, this is now. Open for ~2 years now, family owned and operated it is clean, friendly, efficient and reliable. Prices are reasonable, staff are helpful and polite and they seem to actually care about the customer's satisfaction. Tried A&J for a few repairs needed. They correctly diagnosed the source of the front end noise,…read moreand also diagnosed that the brakes needed work. However, there was no chance to discuss options for the parts -- I could only say yes or no to the repair with parts they selected; with other shops, I have always had the chance to say 'good', 'better' or 'best' for the parts. Also, they make a big deal of "do it all" (not just transmissions). However, that is not true -- they did suspension work but could not do an alignment in-house. It is not honest to say 'do it all' when you can not do the alignment required. I also prefer a shop where the mechanic discusses the situation, which helps me understand my vehicle. A&J apparently made a choice to not offer this service. Overall, I was not satisfied.
