I dont know if this place is individually owned or Jiffy Lube. It really doesnt matter. The point is, I got an Oil Change and my Air Conditioning handled. When it was done the bill was $170. But, none of my debit cards worked. How embarrassing! The man that had greeted me said, it's ok. I had $100 on me. But not the remaining $70. He said, give me some sort of ID or something and return later with the rest. I had found out later that my accounts had been drained and over drafted more that 2k. Identity theft is real people! Nearly a month later (as a retired Vet I only get paid once a month) I went back to settle my balance. When I walked in, the same man was there. He handed my Military ID back to me and said, don't worry about the $70. He said, the owner had come in just after you left. He told me the owner would forgive the $70. Because of my Military Service. Wow Many businesses have Military Discounts and I appreciate that. But this act of kindness took my breath away. His generosity helped me more than he knew. My heart is still banging. Thank you! I will remain a loyal customer for life. Obviously, I recommend this location. read more

The actual oil change was quick and efficient. They also checked other fluids and did a quick inspection of my vehicle, which was a nice bonus. I appreciated that they didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary services, which is something I've experienced at other places. read more

This shop is using Groupon for bait and switch. I purchased 4 Groupons an d gave the a s gifts. Each for a Full synthetic oil change with filter. Each person told me the owner redeemed Groupon immediately the ask for additional sum to complete oil service. I went in and presented a Groupon. Owner was instantly aggravated. He swappe;d redeem, then told me he needed. $30 for filter. I informed him that a Fram extraguard filter was only $13. Bow is his cost $30. HE IMMEDIATELY REFUSE TO DO WORK AND TOLD ME TO LEAVE. These guys were great! I would recommend highly. I wish I had asked their names. The 2 men who worked with us did an excellent job on my car. I will be going there again when I need another oil change. They explained everything that was recommended and why. Showed me the dirty black oil and the filthy filter. I was very behind in car maintenance on my vehicle and they flushed and filled all the required fluids. They were able to figure out how to turn off the oil change light that has been on since before my last il change because the previous mechanic did not know how. Not at all satisfied. Bought 4 oil changes on Groupon for Big Ray's. They are argumentative and rude over any question I ask and all they do is change the oil, no lube, no windshield washer fluid, don't check filters don't check nothing. Complain how they lose money on Groupon customers. Took oil filter off from top usually taken off from the bottom dripped oil all over the engine compartment taking it off never wiped it up then when filling with new oil dripped even more oil all over my motor and never wiped it off. This was the second time there and both experiences were the same. My only regret is I have two more oil changes I have to do there. Very sloppy shop and very bad customer service. Horrible customer service and they ruined my car and refuse to admit their worker did it. Manager was very rude. Cussing at me telling at me and my fiance. Asking if my fiance wanted to step outside and fight him. I would suggest not going here very unprofessional & horrible customer service. The way management got back with me was rude and disrespectful. They had said they done stuff that they did not and didn't do stuff they were supposed to. This place was recommended by a friend. I was not impressed with the contact person at all. Told me I need synthetic oil and charged me $65.00 only to find out that I have never used synthetic and regular was fine. he stressed the fact that is what I needed. I Google Mapped oil changes and found a Jiffy Lube which actually took me to this place. I'm not from Lansing so I was nervous. Went to Big Ray's and had a great experience. He asked me what kind of oil I wanted instead of trying scare tactics to sell the most expensive stuff. He made sure I could reset my oil light. The prices were fair. I saw him pull my air filter so I wasn't being scammed there. I asked to have my battery life checked and he was happy to report 91%. Great experience, friendly and knowledgeable. read more
