Been there done that. Do not go with a company that 1) accepts everyone, 2) requires upfront payment, 3) requires recurring monthly payments, and 4) does not have a vested interest in whether or not you ever get booked because they get paid regardless. This is a difficult industry in which to succeed. One Source downplays that. Do not waste your $. Lisa Experienced Model read more

i am currently talking to an agent via email named Lisa Winters. She will NOT answer any of my questions, which i asked about up front costs, what they are looking for etc. She NEVER answered anything. She said the interview will take 40 minutes, they will take measurement and take photos. i asked more questions and all she said was "the interview will take 40 minutes" never answered on question, well ok maybe one, how long it will take. lol after reading all the reviews im pretty sure that they are only interested in making money and not interested in the talent that comes to their office. I honestly do not think im going to pursue this with them. Which is disappointing because i want to give this a shot. :-( read more

THE BIGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!! I was with One Source Talent for almost 1 year.Right after they collect the money from me they started to be rude.I've never got any job from them. They kept moving their employees so you can not complain about ones misbehavior .Its definitely scam and I prefer putting my money in trash then giving them some. Do not use this company, they are a SCAM company setup to collect your $495 fees and monthly services charge. They are just taking everybody, especially with those that they think whom is capable of paying the $495 to setup marketing materials. Usually you meet with them on the 1st day, and if they like you (knowing that you may willing to pursuit) then they will call you back the 2nd Day which they will ask to charge you the $495 fees. Also once you pay them the $495 and ask to cancel your account, they won't issue you the refund even if on the same day. THAT IS HOW BAD THIS COMPANY IS. They people will try to call you to confirm appointment to ensure that you will show up because if you do, it when they have a chance to get you to pay the $495. DON'T DO IT!!! I am the victim of their scam so I want other people to know that they are not a legit talent agency/company. read more

TOTAL SCAM! DO NOT EVEN GO THERE! This place doesn't even deserve a single star, let alone a half star. I went there last night and first off the guy is hideous (who is he to judge if you're good looking or not, seriously) and he wears way too much makeup. He was rude and wouldn't even let me sit down during my "interview". I was called back today and I met with another young woman. After asking me to "sign with them" I told her I needed to take the contract to my lawyer and have him look over it before I signed anything. She became extremely rude and left the room and when she came back she said "you were informed yesterday what the deal was and you should have been better prepared. I regret to inform you we decline our offer now" and then she ripped the paper out of my hand. I just walked out shaking my head and mouthed to the poor other lady and her child sitting into the lobby "scam" so that maybe she would get the hint not to give them the 500$ they request. read more

Never go to this"talent agency". I applied to be on the walking dead and the next day they called me so I asked to make sure this was for the walking dead and the b**** said yes and they wanted me to come in. when I got there, I sat in a room watching Micheal Jackson's movie. Then some retard walks in saying how to be serious and stuff. When I got into the interview, it lasted only a minute because they told me they don't do specific shows but will send my application to the correct people. Good thing i told them I wanted to do more than the walking dead because im sure they would have tried to charge me something. this is a BS company! read more

There comes a time in everyones life where you will be discouraged, let down, and rejected.well that day came early for my beautiful, smart, outgoing 5 year old.:( we had a group audition Saturday where the ever so kind (not!) Spencer hedges fed a room full of gullible people a bunch of b.s..my daughter was "selected," for what they called a "callback," the following Monday.since we live 78 miles away, we stayed in LA an extra day wasting time and hope just so we could come back, and be let down.they had her recite a small script in front of them, then said they would take 15mins to decide if they thought she was "right," for one source.well almost a half hour later the lady comes in congratulating her like she had just won the lotto.then as she was about to wrap things up and have me sign, she read me the fine print...that they wanted 544$ + 44.95(a month) on the spot to go any further.having no idea I would need that amount of money on the spot I asked if I could pay Thursday,,(3days later) they said probably not, so the lady asked if I could come up with 100$ for now, I said yes but I would have to go to my bank, it would take 45mins bit I could drop it off asap that afternoon.the rude ass guy in charge told us that we were expected to be prepared, and since I had no money on the spot , "there was nothing he could do for us, and we weren't ready!" Such bullshit.so I had to spend the rest of the day explaining to my 5yr old daughter, that she was beautiful and she was talented, and it was not her fault, we just didn't have enough money and we would try again someday.and the day she makes it we'll be sure to give these greedy a*holes a shout out!!! Had an interview with them yesterday and another one today. When they called on the phone I asked if they were a talent agency, they said "no, we're a talent management company." what is that, idk? I asked if I was going to have to pay them any money, they said no. Then today on my 2nd interview they asked me for $495 plus $39.95 a month. They said the fee goes towards getting headshots and to load the headshots on their website. I did not sign with them, I thought it was fishy, especially since the lady on the phone told me one thing and in person I get told another thing, so it makes me wonder what else they're lying about, especially since every LEGIT agency says they won't ask u for money at all UPFront. They'll just take a percentage of your earnings. The 1 st interview they brought me in a room with like 30 other people. I didn't see anyone attractive in the room. Then the manager guy says they won't be picking everyone, so then they call us in 1 by1 and ask why I want to be in the entertainment industry. Then they tell me to come back tomorrow for a 2 nd interview, (like why couldn't they just make up their mind right there instead of wasting another day of my time??) they already had pics of me that I emailed them so why call me in if you're still not sure? The legitimate agencies don't call u in multiple times "while they decide." just overall seemed fishy. Also if u go, don't park in their parking structure, they charged me $18 for an hour and 45 min. You cant see the sign that says how much they charge you if you make a left turn into the parking garage, so i missed it. I thought it was free. There's plenty of street parking for free a few blocks away. Also, the lady told me I had to pay the $495 right then and there, I couldn't take a few days to think about it, and the contract was only good if i made a decision that second. Who says that???? I asked if I could have a few min to reread the contract and she said fine, she'd be back in a little while. So 20 min later she never came back, so I just walked out. read more

Reading the reviews I was convinced that something must be true considering it was 42 people with 1 star. I was supposed to have my interview today, and Brianna called me to confirm my schedule apt at 7 today. I asked her if there were any upfront fees?? She stated that if I didnt have any headshots, etc. then yes they would be charging a fee. After reading all the reviews, and knowing I didn't have 500 for headshots I politely declined my interest in going. Also, any agency that charges ANY UPFRONT fees to talent is a SCAM!!! This agency is definitely a scam! They'll sign anyone. They try to act all hard core and serious like they're legit but don't waste your time. I just got a phone call from this company today. I had no idea who they were or why they were calling me. I figured it was a scam, as I have never called a talent agency nor applied for one as they said I did. I got to thinking after I hung up the phone, confused, I looked them up and found this. They must really be digging for people to rip off. Somehow they had all my personal info (I know that not hard to find now a days), and claimed I sent in an application for inquiry. I was in LA over the weekend and was at a Party. My company fly a bunch of the VIP host in to a party at our Los Angeles location. I was hanging out and met a bunch of models. I asked them about their agency and they told me they were with One Source Talent. They said they did modeling and acting gigs with One Source. They directed me to the site and I signed up. I got a call that Sunday and got an invite in to the LA office. I'm from Vegas so I wanted to get in asap and they told my to come in on that Monday. I went in and met with a bunch of their people. Great vibe and great crew in the LA office. I told them I was interested in extra work along with promotional gigs. They were all about bringing me on and so there you have it! What luck to run into the models at a gig and then to get signed the very next day! I can't wait to start booking stuff in the Vegas market. That is whats so great about the way they work. You can do as much or as little work as you want. They told me I could go at my own pace. read more

I agree with everyone who thinks OST IS a scam. I have put in so many complaints with the BBB and I am still trying to get my money back. OST makes you do all the work. I am a photographer and I took the photos myself and they still insisted that I go with their photographer and they needed $100 down, Really? I told them I didn't have the money and they wanted me to ask family and friends for it. Yes I got scammed on the $495 like an idiot. I didn't know that they were going to charge you for each time you Login into the account they assigned you (well me for my daughter). WATCH OUT FOR THAT 10th day ! THIS IS WHERE THEY SET UP THE 2ND APPT TO COME IN AND THATS THE DAY YOU CAN CANCEL THE CONTRACT. If you don't BAM they get to keep the money. I took my 13 daughter to one source talent. True they will ask for the 500.00 bucks however Mr Spencer during the the first open meeting says' that you have to invest in your self's. I have paid the money for my daughters start, true the head shot/com card is not of great quality but then you need to get a pro photographer to do that if you want high quality. But their database does show where the opportunities are, pay non union/sag etc. I feel they do give you insight on the business and must have contacts being in business 10 years. this company is a SCAM and I am appalled that they take the dreams of young inspiring people and lead them to believe they have what it takes for the entertainment industry. My daughter is 5'8 inches tall very beautiful, but extremely shy. My daughter lacked so much self confidence I was embarrassed for her, but they still felt she was marketable, until I stated that I have my own photographer and can provide them with her headshots. WELL, the entire interview changed dramatically to a new course. Spenser stated I wasted his time, and I was not a good parent because I wasn't signing her up on the spot. He was rude, unprofessional and a big bullshitter. All because I wasn't willing to pay their fee of 40.00 a month plus photographer fees that could range between 500.00 - 1,000.00 dollars. Sham on this company and how dare you tell me I am not a good parent, when all I did was protect her from this scam. BEWARE!!! Unethical, fake and unprofessional in any way who only wants your money. ok the story with OST is that they called me to see my son and gave an appointment with the Office Director "Spencer" the same day at 7 pm!!!!! ok, we go there and we see people coming in like crazy one after another since they all had meetings at 7. you would see people reagrdless of beauty, shape, size, i mean everything. anyways, at 7, they call all of us in this waiting room area and he come in for a 10 minute presentation of the modeling/ acting industry and he blah blah bahs. he says that the first thing you should do is to take professional photos and comp cards and market yourself out which could be pricey. he doesnot tell you who will do it for you and how much. Then he tells you that IF you are asked to come tomorrow for the final interview, you HAVE to come, and there id no makeup for that. by the way, he thinks he is so American and pretty but has this fake accent and talks so fast, thinking that he is god on earth. anyways, after the presentation, all other "talent specialists" take you to their offices for a 1-2 minute interview (thats it), and ask you if you could come in tomorrow from 1-5 for a final interview and documentation. anyways, we went there the day after to see what goes on. they came in and have a cookie picture to my son to see how he reacts. then they are like why do you want him in auditions? then they leave the office and come back with a package for you to take professional photo shoots. my package was $995 for only 5 pics and then a recurring fee of $39.95 per month to put the pics on thier archive for their clients to see (the fee will be charged regardless of any job you might get in any time period.) when i told them that they should tell about their pricings and fees on the same day, Mr. Spencer said in a very unpleasant and angry way" i told you and everyone yesterday about the fact that photo shoots are expensive. so you were clearly not listening, and please i do not want to waste my time on this". Ugh imagine!!!! who is he to speak with people like that and lie in heir face? anyways, this is a rip-off since the established and well known agenices do not have these practices, and tricks. be careful. read more

I'm fed up with the constant emails, ALL of them exactly the same. I've now realized that they have tried a new tactic when it comes to trying to sign me into their business and attain my money. Today, I got an email, the email address said her name was Sally Eckers. That name, did not match the name on the bottom of the email, which was Sally Eccles. When I googled the name of the agency which they said was Nine9 The Unagency, and looked for it on yelp, google sent me to all the pages that have to do with One Source Talent. How stupid do they think I am, that I'm actually going to fall for that kind of crap. I refuse to pay the fee they're asking, and I'm so sorry if anyone has been scammed by them. I immediately realized who One Source Talent was when I started looking it up online. And I want to make it very clear, that if you see something from a Sally Eckers, and the sign off is Sally ECCLES. Delete the email. They couldn't even oversee that error? Shame on them for trying to take people's money. We all have dreams of being famous, working in the industry, and they are taking full advantage of that. A phony company you show up to Beverly hills and your immediately stunned by the lavish environment and you go through the doors of the building and notice the very professional presentation you go up the elevator to level 2 walk down the open thier door to their office and there are another 15-30 people there all with big dreams and ambitions and the office lobby just looks cheesy they call everyone 1 by 1 take your measurements and picture then you proceed to another waiting area with a lot of plastic chairs and a bunch of motel art on the walls then you wait for every one to take a seat after about 10 to 15 minutes a presenter will come in and talk about things that are needed to be in the industry and when they are speaking they are filling your minds up with information and you begin to think I can do this then they tell you that every one needs to come have 1 on 1 meeting and be evaluated to see if you can earn a second meeting. You walk into an employees office once it's your turn then person in the office begins to ask you questions about your goals and talents and tells you if you got the second meeting this whole process takes about 2 minutes with one on one time with the agent .everyone that goes in the meetings gets a second meeting I know this due to the fact that in the elevator there was 4 people that were in the lobby with me and no offense but these were not the smartest attractive people by far and they all had a second meeting. Really bad idea to sign with One Source Talent if you're an actor, because the place is run by one washed up model and several aspiring models who work the phones. There is no casting director there, their only way to judge talent, they say, is to SMIIILE all the goddamn time. What the hell? Also, you should be able to 'light up a room and gab'. So I'm not exactly sure what you can benefit from joining a networking-modeling-club. "We're casting for TV and film right now." No, not true. And there's a certain butt-kiss mentality here. You'll be managing your One Source Talent membership first, and your acting career second. Also, you'll pay $500 now, and $40 a month. All your money will go to keep the, otherwise unemployed, models' dreams alive in Beverly Hills. What a lucrative business for them. I truly think they fit the coke-model stereotype with this place; the techno music, Devil Wears Prada on repeat, smiling coldly in strange periods during conversation, etc. Oh, and parking is $8. Congratulations on signing with One Source Talent. read more

I was contacted this morning at 11:40am by someone who provided the name "Brittney." I advised her I had submitted my information for a Game Show, and had no idea it was going to an Agency. I then asked her if the agency was going to delete my identifying information because I was concerned. She was so rude, and tried ending the call without answering my question or addressing my concern. I then re-asked the question. She refused to inform me of what would be done with my information. I then asked for a manager and she stated that she was the office manager. I asked for her direct supervisor and she said he was not in. I asked for his contact information and she rudely said "he was home with his wife and children." OMG!! I did not ask for a house number for the guy!! I asked for his work number or voice mail. She refused to transfer me to anyone or any voice mail to address my concerns, particularly my concern about her attitude. I never applied for any acting or modeling gigs through One Source Talent Agency. I submitted my information for a game show, and have no idea how One Source Talent ended up obtaining my information and contacting me. I received numerous calls and an email from them and have no idea how or why they received my submission. Separate from that, the girl who I spoke with was absolutely disrespectful and had major attitude. People should be thankful they have jobs in this economy and do everything to maintain them and be pleasant. I will be contacting Corporate and the Better Business Bureau (which reflects One Source Talent as not being BBB Accredited). Although I am not interested in any Agency, Modeling, or Acting, I did my research to see how they got a hold of my information, who they are, and why they were contacting me. I did not like what I found. read more

i just got out of this ridiculous scam. first, they ask u to come in and u are one in like 20 candidates. then they bring u in for an interview where they say that they like u and want u to come back in (probably say this to everyone). then u come in the next day and they bs interview u and make u read a commercial prompt. then the interviewer goes to talk to the director or some bs. probably just sits in a room and kills time to make it look like they actully considered u. then they come in and say that they want you and make u pay 149 up front and 39.95 monthly for lessons and shit apparently. i tried to take the contract home to look over and think on it and then they try to guilt trip u into agreeing right then and there i quote "oh i thought u were here because u were serious about this". the best i got was acouple minutes alone to think it over and when i decided that i wanted to tell lauren the interviewer that i would not be accepting their services, some dude with a fedora and a bandage from a nose job harasses me for walking out of the room??? like cant a guy walk out of rooms? then he tries to call security because we're arguing wih him. disgusting people trying to take advantage of others. avoid at all costs. read more

Not listening to the reviews, I went ahead with One Source Talent and confirm it is an absolute scam. An up front cost of near $650 for your "website setup" and a $40 monthly fee for them managing your page and searching for work. They never did an ounce of work for me or my page. The only thing they did was add unphotoshopped pictures they pressured me into taking with their photographer (another substantial cost $700). The photos form that shoot were unedited after all said and done which is what I was paying for in the package. The photo shoot felt rushed and impersonal for the price. They photographers and one source make a killing as they arrange cattle to be pushed through the assembly line. I never got any advice or personal attention as they make you believe in those initial interviews. This is a methodical scamming business. I advise major discretion when dealing with this guys and would not do business with them ever again. I quickly got out after 3 months and seeing that they have nothing to offer but a place to lose your money. read more
