She said that EFT Tapping had helped her a lot, and that it might be more accessible, since once you learn the technique you can do it on your own without a therapist. Kirsten is a gifted healer with a compassionate heart and open mind. She listens carefully and is able to craft uniquely perfect individual tapping sessions. I have not only found EFT Tapping to be helpful recently, but I'm sure that it will be a tool that I can carry forward in the future. I feel very fortunate and blessed to have found Kirsten.

I was looking for Ketamine Assisted Therapy for my treatment-resistant depression & bipolarity…read more Their bedside manner, specifically the anesthesiologist, is bordering on horrible. Their response time is great- Oli, the ketamine-coach, is usually available via phone and is patient and kind. My main problem: The medical staff did not look for ongoing verbal consent, they didn't explain what was happening during my intake and started putting "vitamins" in my bloodstream without explaining consulting/asking for consent. If you engage with them, be specific about your needs for ongoing verbal consent, clear medical explanations, and a bedside manner that leads to feeling respected. The MD (anesthesiologist) dismissed my concerns by saying "it's natural- it's not the medicine, it's natural." When I asked for clarity on the medical meaning of "natural," I was met with frustration and "it's things that are already in your body." Again- that's not a medical response- it's dismissive. Oli, the person in charge of guiding/coaching me through the experience, admitted that the anesthesiologist is a great doctor but lacks a good bedside manner. I was baffled- why would you allow that with severely depressed folks? Everything is paid out of pocket, which means that if they start any kind of IV bag (with or without telling you?) you are on the hook for the dollars. If you are looking for Ketamine treatments with psychotherapy, that is NOT the main thing this place offers. They do offer a legal space for therapists to come in and assist clients in a Ketamine session. This was not clear to me until I carefully read and signed their paperwork before my first on-site visit. They offer COACHING to accompany ketamine experiences. The coaches are NOT THERAPISTS OR PSYCHIATRISTS. If you are suffering, I'm sorry, mental illness is so debilitating. If you use CIT, make sure you explain your needs for information and consent as things are being done to you. READ their disclaimers. Also, they don't have encryption, so anything medical you share will not be protected by encryption. Again, I didn't find this out until I read the proverbial fine print.

While I…read morehave had previous ketamine treatments, the experience with CIT had been the most complete, compassionate, effective, and comfortable. Treatments can often stretch the limits of your comfort, and can bring up heavy feelings as you integrate your experiences and memories. You will be prepped ahead of time, and debriefed after/between sessions. The rooms are very comfortable, and you can utilize the level of stimulation (music, lights, etc) to your liking. I've only worked with Dr. Danforth as the administering physician, who is thoughtful and collaborative with dosing and care plans. I have spoken to Dr. Tibble at length on the phone, who provided me with a ton of information about their services and process. Joyce handles the scheduling and payments (and sometimes intake/IV starts), and is very responsive, kind, and skilled. The entire team exudes warmth. I recommend them highly to anyone who is considering ketamine treatment. I have been to both the Marin and Vacaville clinics, and both are great. While the entire team is fantastic, I have to give a special shout out to Oli, one of the guides. Oli has been by my side during each treatment, holding space, grounding me, asking gentle but pointed questions, and listening and reflecting with the deepest compassion and non-judgment. I can say with certainty that my treatments would not have been as effective without this guidance and support, though the ketamine itself does some pretty miraculous work (and some people prefer a solo journey). He is thoughtful, warm, and you get the sense that he truly cares about your well-being and future. I am incredibly grateful for his presence. When the…read morecounseling ended, I actually believed it had been helpful, because I had come to believe that our marital problems were almost entirely my fault. However, over the following year, I gradually realized that our marriage had not meaningfully improved despite the counseling. One of the strongest messages I took away from the sessions was that my family of origin and my relationship with my parents were the primary causes of our marital problems. This did not only lead me to feel guilty and blame myself; it also caused me to blame my family and my parents. The emotional impact became so significant that I eventually sought individual therapy to work through those feelings. I believe Estee genuinely wanted to help us, and I do not question her intentions. However, her approach was not effective for me and maybe someone else has similar background like me. If you come from an East Asian family and place great importance on your relationship with your parents and family of origin, I would encourage you to consider carefully whether this counseling approach is the right fit for you. Different therapists have different perspectives, and this particular approach was not a good match for my background or my needs. Finally, I respectfully ask that Estee not contact me regarding this review. I have worked hard to recover from the guilt, self-blame, and family-related conflict that I experienced after counseling, and I do not wish to revisit those feelings through further discussion.

My partner and I found a desire to cultivate better communication in our relationship. By searching the Internet, she found an interesting class that promised "better tools for a happier relationship." The class was hosted at the Relationship Skills Center in Sacramento, a place that I had never heard of. I was a bit weary about how valuable this course would be because, well,... it was Free. Adding to my concerns, the class started off very basic and was led by two young (but well intended) individuals. We did some "exercises" that I thought were too elementary. Such as: "Stand in this corner if you like to be loved. Stand in that corner if you like to argue." I almost walked out of the door because I didn't want to play games all day... I actually wanted to learn something. But, I swallowed my pride and tried to go along with the class... mostly because I promised my girlfriend I would. I'm glad that she helped me keep that promise. The "exercises" were a warm-up to the actual class discussion. The discussion was lead by David Clark and after about 15-minutes I was grateful that I stayed. David has the ability to teach by what others may call "word pictures". I don't know how else to describe it. But, he teaches a new concept that may be hard to understand at first and, then, quickly explains that concept with familiar examples. Most of my notes consisted of drawings of these examples and a few words so I could remember the new concepts. I know... sounds remedial, doesn't it? For me, however, I needed it to be basic. After all, I was not having very good success with communication because I was over-complicating it. I'm sure David noticed that we all needed his help. But, he never once made us feel "dumb" or otherwise uncomfortable. He mostly adapted to our class and was able to find time for humor and he noticed when we were tired or overwhelmed. I appreciate that for each 6-hour (or more) session, he kept pace with a large binder of material. We went through every page, wrote in it and we got to take it home. Even tonight (the reason I write this review), David sent me a follow-up email asking about my progress after nearly 2-months had passed!!! That follow-up email he sent is one of the reasons I gave him 5-stars. Other reasons why I believe David deserves a 5-star review is that his classes ACTUALLY helped me and my relationship. I am happier. I do have less stress. And, I find it easier to have conversations and ACTUALLY listen to people. All of the lessons I learned from David help me at work, at home and in every day life. At this point in my life, I'm beginning to learn how to communicate all over again. I would highly recommend David Clark for improving relationship/communication skills. I personally was not disappointed, so perhaps you may have the same experience. It was certainly worth my time and effort.

My…read moresessions with her are always wonderful and I feel at ease and safe in her presence whether online or in person, which I am so grateful for. I just finished my third session with Denise and once again, my life is changed. Each session, I've targeted a different issue and I've seen incredible transformation as a result of every one. My first session, I targeted an intense, decade long issue around sexual trauma. The changes that took place were unexpected but so profound. I truly needed the help of my unconscious mind to reach new solutions that my conscious mind had been spinning its wheels over. My second session was around money issues. Since that session, I have already seen changes in both my bank account and prospective opportunities in both of my businesses. The most notable difference with this one has been my mindset. And I could go on and on! This last session, I targeted my relationship with food and even just 10 minutes after the session as I write this, I FEEL SO DIFFERENT! I feel lighter and so relieved that this issue is no longer weighing me down. And just like Denise informs me, it can take a few days to integrate the changes. Now that I have some experience with these sessions, I know this to be so true and I'm looking forward to the fascinating part of watching as life shows me the results of todays session.
