I've been told I have PCOS, I don't have PCOS. I might have endometriosis... all the things. And one day, I would like to become pregnant. He has helped me soo much. My periods have now started up again, they're still a little out of wack but at least they're back. He really cares about you, and I feel like he goes the extra mile to make you not only feel at ease but also feel heard. No one else has been really able to help me. I've gone to multiple doctors, naturopaths, and the one thing that's been a constant in my life is doing acupuncture and taking the Chinese herbs Dr Jaime gives me depending on what my body is going through at that time of visit. I have hope that I'll be able to have kids if I continue to see them.

It was a Thursday evening session, and community style. I did a little research as I have never had acupuncture before, but I felt like this was something I needed as I'm under a lot of stress from the daily world. It was about a 30-40 min session. He placed about 5 needles per ears and it felt like nothing. We chatted about my journey, and he was really great in explaining each pressure point to me, and just overall how it'll help with the stress I've been under. After the needles I meditated for about 20 mins, and he removed them. It was a great stress reliever and I just felt calm afterwards, almost like I was on a cloud. It was definitely a different feeling than when I walked in. Well about two weeks later, I found out I was pregnant and now going on my 7th week. Again we've been trying for 8 months, and I was so discouraged but the stress I was under was more than normal and the social pressures of getting pregnant at my age was a lot. I personally feel like this little session helped me so much, and just really assisted in my journey. Thankful I found this place, and recommend to anyone who is under a lot of stress that is just in need of a small moment to get some clarity.

Her approach is serious, direct, and focused entirely on results, which is exactly what my husband and I were looking for. She was against PGT testing in my case and chose to transfer our embryos at day 3--not day 5--and thank God she did. Our embryo stuck, and it worked. She made every decision with precision and purpose, and we are forever grateful for her role in giving us a viable pregnancy. I've seen some negative reviews about her being too serious or not warm enough. But she's not here to sugarcoat--she's here to help you get pregnant. She's not a miracle worker or a god, but she's a highly skilled doctor who makes bold, thoughtful decisions based on science and experience. The rest is up to your body. Also, I've seen some reviews criticizing her for telling patients to lose weight before proceeding. But honestly--what's wrong with that? Don't we want to be as healthy as possible for pregnancy? I personally lost 10 pounds in the months leading up to our transfer because I wanted to give my body the best chance. Dr. Ratcliffe doesn't sugarcoat things--but that's because she's focused on outcomes, not comfort. If what you care about is results, not small talk, you're in good hands with Dr. Ratcliffe. We're forever grateful. We will be back for our other embryos soon:-)

I wish I could be happy to write this. at the time i met Dr Ratcliff My Husband and I had been…read moretrying for about a year with no success, so I started to worry of course and started looking for fertility doctors near me to get tested and ask questions. to start at that time i was 37, no kids, never had issues with pregnancy just had never gotten pregnant before. Upon arrival, the front office staff were kind. Dr Ratcliff came out and greeted us, but was very none enthusiastic, like we were bothering her. Im sure by my hello, she could tell i was terrified and uneasy about this whole situation. We sat in the back room with her in her office, I had read reviews that her "bedside" manner was not great, but i didnt expect what i got. she asked a bunch of health questions about my husband and myself which of course i expected. she then went into how babies are made, and explained issues with fertility.and why infertility happens. Which i did appreciate because i did learn some things. THEN WE TOOK A TURN. she told me and my husband, that "we would be irresponsible to continue to try and get pregnant" when i heard that i started to cry. No empathy at all. I asked her "what do you mean?" she doubled down and told us that we are too unhealthy and im old now and my baby would most likely have "lifelong" issues I wish i was kidding. I was shocked and terrified and completely overwhelmed. she said options could be IUI or IVF if that didnt work but she wouldn't do either of those for me because i needed to lose 90 pounds before my birthday (which mind you was in about 6 weeks). I said well if i lost that much weight i would be unhealthy but ok. Then she said because if i did it and you end up with a baby who is sick, you will sue me. so then it clicked to me that this wasnt about me or my husband and i trying to start a family, it was about her. She talked to us like we were children and not grown adults seeking advice and help. She told us which tests she wanted us to do and we could go from there. Sperm testing for my husband and she said she would order blood work for me. Then she said she's going to do the ultrasound to see how many follicles i have - saying at my "advanced age" i should have at least 18 but was snarky about it as if she thought there was no way i had enough. So we went into the ultrasound room and sure enough i had like 23. Its almost like she was shocked. We then went to leave, she provided us with the sperm testing information for my husband - and said my tests would be ordered and i would get an email when they were so i could go to the lab. NEVER GOT THE EMAIL - tests never got ordered My husband did the sperm test 3 days later. Dr Ratcliff called him with the results and told him he is about 100k more than what would be "normal" but instead of just giving him the good news she doubled down and said again on the phone. "I highly encourage you and your wife to not continue to try as it would be "irresponsible". He hung up on her. I knew after that appointment i would never go back. I would do anything to be a mom but i am not going to be belittled to make that happen. I met with an OB a few weeks later and told her of my experience and she was SHOCKED. But, without me even saying who the doctor was, she knew, she asked me "did that happened to be Dr Ratcliff over in santa rosa" - THATS BAD, when the OB knew. she said she had so many patients tell her similar stories. But, despite her awful interactions with us and terrible demeanor and advice. I am happy to say that i am 9 weeks pregnant with my first child and i am so excited. So, if you are trying and struggling, i would not go to her go anywhere else

My doctor suggested I got on birth control to help with relieving some of the discomfort. Fast forward to my early 30s, married and ready to start having children. I got off birth control and my very painful periods came back. Despite the painful menstrual cycles my husband and I were trying to conceive and were unsuccessful for 5 years. I went through infertility treatments with no luck. After an emotional roller coaster of infertility, I told myself that I needed to try something different. I had always heard of acupuncture but was not aware that it may help with women's health and infertility. I googled "Acupuncture Near Me" and found Amanda Moler at Monarch Acupuncture & Wellness. What a gem I found! At our first appointment Amanda was so compassionate and kind. She heard my story and developed a treatment plan specifically for me. Our goal was to first help with my menstrual cycle and then move on to fertility. In about 3 months my menstrual cycles were so much better and I got pregnant! I could not believe it. I was so overjoyed and I'm a firm believer that acupuncture, lifestyle changes and having a positive outlook heals the body. Amanda is truly a beautiful soul and one of a kind! She is a healer. I have recommended several friends and family to her over the last couple of years and all of them adore her and have had amazing experiences. If you are looking to try something new for pain management, grief, women's health or infertility, I highly recommend Amanda Moler at Monarch Acupuncture & Wellness. She is truly amazing and I'm so grateful that I found her.

After about four months of struggling with PPD, I made the decision to pursue permanent birth control a decision I now deeply regret. I was told by Dr. Cheruba Prabakarthat my tubes could not be tied and that they had to be removed. During the consultation, she asked if I wanted more children. At the time, while clearly struggling emotionally, I said no. She stated that since I was 39, it was a good age for this procedure if I did not want more children. I understand that the decision was 100% mine, however the state of mind I was in was not capable of making a life-changing, irreversible decision. I strongly believe that when working with women -- especially postpartum women -- it is a physician's responsibility to recognize warning signs of postpartum depression and emotional distress and to implement safeguards in their practice. What I needed at that time was help and support for my PPD, not a permanent procedure that altered my body forever. Instead, the process felt quick and not thorough. There was no screening for postpartum depression, no encouragement to wait, and no discussion about how temporary emotional states can affect long-term decisions. Now, three years later, I am 42 years old and desperately want another child. Time is running out. I am now facing IVF, with no guarantee that my insurance will cover it since this is considered a decision I made for myself. My eggs are older, the odds are lower, and the emotional and financial burden is overwhelming. I wish there had been more caution, more counseling, and more time given before moving forward. I also hope that by sharing this experience, changes can be made so that another woman in a vulnerable postpartum state is not placed in this position. I am beyond sad and angry about my situation, I wish i could of tide my tubes and maybe reversal would of been an option now there is nothing absolutely nothing i can do. and time is running out.

Something that we struggled with for a while due to age was infertility. We had actually seen several fertility specialists during this long journey, and have gone through 3 rounds of IVF (2 mini's and 1 conventional) as well as an IUI. Although they were all unfortunately unsuccessful, we discovered that not all fertility clinics and doctors are created equal. While we found that many doctors take a very traditional, rigid and cookie cutter approach to treatment. Focusing more on luck through repeated attempts, Dr. Aimee was much more focused and tailored in her regiment. We always felt informed during this process, and confident in Dr. Aimee's recommendations. And unlike other clinics, we were always able to get ahold of Dr. Aimee directly. Instead of communicating with a nurse who would then pass the message along to the doctor if they felt it needed escalation. Along these lines, we were always shocked at how quickly we were usually able to get a response from Dr. Aimee. Sometimes even late at night. We often joked that Dr. Aimee probably doesn't sleep. Our only complaints about going with Dr. Aimee revolved around a few issues: 1) The initial application process to get a consultation with Dr. Aimee was lengthy, difficult, and required a lot of chasing from my wife due to poor follow-up and communication from the office. The individual handling review and processing of new patient applications would often go awol for days on end after sending out limited communication. 2) Billing was oftentimes not very clear and created a need for us to meticulously examine our bills line by line to ensure accuracy. 3) Dr. Aimee does not accept any insurance so 100% of the costs will be out of pocket. In addition, her rates are substantially higher than other clinics. Although we were ultimately unsuccessful with IVF, we were eventually blessed with a miracle baby through natural birth. Despite this, we would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Aimee to anyone looking for fertility care.
