Justin and Kim are so incredible and they absolutely love each pup that comes through. Justin's and Kim are super knowledgeable as well as resourceful! The staff is friendly and we absolutely love love that we are fortunately regularly bringing Bowser for grooming. Bowser gets lots of love and care and we get the best services for our boy. He comes out clean and smelling and feeling great and the signature special touches that you won't find anywhere else. Do yourselves and your pups a favor and call them to get in. You won't regret it

This spot puts a smile on me and my pups face everytime! Penny, our family pup always receives the best treatment when she goes to One Pampered Pup. They are quick, efficient and really pay attention to details. The groomers are so patient with my pups and treat them so well. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for great service and reasonable prices. My little Oliver had a bad experience with a previous groomer so he is sensitive about getting his nails trimmed. Every time we bring him to have his nails done the groomers are so kind and gentle with him despite him being snappy. It's helped him so much and he's calmed down a lot since last year. 100% recommendation! read more

I found One Pampered Pet on the Stratford Ladies page, highly recommended and our vet had COVID and broke his hip so I was desperately wanting to get my babies in for their nails, anals, and ears. I messaged them on Facebook and actual minutes later they reached out to me and got me in on a Sunday! So sweet!! It was bumping today, so busy with the impending snowstorm, but they were so kind and accommodating! Justin and Kim are the owners and their taste of decor is so cute and on point! I can't wait to bring back my 3 babies for a spa day with facials, how cute is that?!!! As long as I have dogs, which will be always, this is 100% our new go to place! read more

Kim, Justin and their team are amazing. They are super accommodating and you can tell from the first time you meet them that they have a passion and love for animals. I felt super comfortable talking to them which made it way easier to leave my fur baby in their care. They take their time and really take pride in what they do. One Pampered Pup is an amazing groomer. The owners are hard working individuals who treat your dog with kindness as if they were their own. They are professional and caring people. I would never bring my pup Fifi anywhere else. Fifi always had anxiety when I would leave her at other groomers and did not want to stay but she loves going to One Pampered Pup. When she leaves there she looks beautiful. I highly recommend One Pampered Pup for your beloved pup. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!!! P.S. The team at One Pampered Pup are the best. My pup Ellie and I always feel so welcome when we arrive. The facility is adorable and always impeccably clean and the packages/prices are extremely reasonable. But what I really appreciate the most is the amazing job they do! My Ellie, is a golden who plays hard and loves dirt, but after her spa days at OPP, she is absolutely transformed. Not only does she looks and smell amazing, she's content and happy. We are from MA with two little pups. We usually had our pups hair cuts done by a woman who came to us. We decided to try going somewhere new and we had to look in CT due to the stop of grooming in MA from the corona virus..WE WERE AMAZED! The owners were so nice, friendly, and worked with us to get both dogs in at once since we had a far drive! Also the pup salon was so cute!! The outcome after their haircuts was nothing like we ever saw before they looked adorable but also had the perfect cut to make sure it was short like we asked! We couldn't have been happier with our salon choice for our pups! We will be back for sure--there is also Fairfield st Marys park to walk when you are waiting, bakers around the area and more which made it an experience for us as well! read more

When things started reopening after being closed for Covid it was very difficult to get an appointment at the regular groomer for our multipoo, Gigi. One Pampered Pup was recommended to me. When I called, they also were fully booked. I spoke to Justin, who was a great introduction to the business. He was so friendly and said he would see what they could do for me. Justin got back to me saying they would fit Gigi in. I walked into the shop and was totally in awe. It's decorated beautifully and so clean! Gigi was returned to us looking beautiful and smelling great (they even put cologne on her)! I felt that we really treated her to a spa. We have never gone back to the original place. Every time we drop Gigi off she is so comfortable that she immediately goes to Kim. When we pick her up, she is perfectly calm and looks beautiful. Kim and Justin have a wonderful place to take your "babies". I highly recommend them. read more

Bait and switch: I called around for prices to groom my 130 lb Newfoundland. I was quoted $80. I travelled 45 minutes from home as this was the lowest bid. When I arrived with my dog, I was told it was $85-$90. When I picked up the dog, I was told the price was $110 and that I was getting a deal. I was then directed to give a tip in order to check out. By the time I paid, I could have had an expert groomer come to my home to groom my dog. read more

I have been to other local groomers, larger commercial groomers (Petco), mobile groomers and everything in-between. I always leave disappointed and frustrated. One Pampered Pup coming to town in the last couple of years has been a huge lifesaver. One of the BEST groomers in the state. My dog (a large female purebred English cream Golden) needs routine services because we hike quite often and her hair tends to knot very frequently, especially in the summer. Kim and the other groomers there are the only ones I have come to trust to take care of the knots, provide a perfect haircut and cleaning, and great overall experience for my dog (and myself). When your dog walks out looking like a champion show dog and is extremely happy and excited, you know you found the right place! Also, they are very well priced for all they do which is always nice. read more

Plus their staff is amazing with my pup, every time we come in they know her and are so excited to see her and vice versa. She practically forgets about me when they lead her in. Lol. And she always leaves exhausted after a day here because they have so many activities and cute little crafts they do with the pups depending on which day of the week you go. Also the indoor pool. I also boarded her here for about a week during a vacation last year and felt so at ease knowing she was safe and in such good hands. I received updates constantly. That's another thing too, the text communication makes things so quick and easy, especially for appointments. Plus they keep on top of vaccinations and fecals, which is so important. I could go on and on, but this place is like the Hilton for doggy daycares, but it's actually affordable. Lol. You won't find a better spot for your fur baby.

According to our vet in Stratford, it appears whatever cleaner/soap was used was expired or contaminated with some bacteria and caused an infection in multiple large areas of his skin. I am absolutely enraged by this situation and will be telling everyone I know in the area to stay far far away from this place... I am in absolute shock and cannot believe this. Not even an offer to give us our money back... $200 for this butcher job and another $700 at the vet because of the infection that this place caused. Absolutely horrible experience, legit -0/10.

The next time did not go as well, unfortunately, but Roman handled it like the amazing pro he is. He had groomed my dog entirely, but when he went to cut her nails, she had a diarrhea attack in his van. He explained this to me, patiently. I was mortified, but Roman's concern was not for himself or his van, but only for my dog-- he wanted to figure out what triggered her response to make sure it didn't happen again. She drank two bowls of water. They gave them gerbil feeders to drink my dog doesn't know how to drink out of the gerbil feeder, the second time was in Bridgeport. They forgot about them after I had lunch and they told me I'll give her! After four hours, I called him and the woman was very confused. Got back on the phone and told me another hour. I went there after an hour and she had the worst chop job ever had. A shag. The lady explained to me that it's hard when the dogs hair is curly which was ridiculous. It's not that curly. It's slightly wavy even a poodle they can get straight. Mine is a Japanese , Shih Tzu mix. it looks so bad and they did not think for her and again, of course she was dying of thirst even I told her to give her a bowl of water.

I even double-checked beforehand to confirm the cost, and everything was set and scheduled. The night before the appointment, we followed their instructions and adjusted our cat's feeding schedule. We also gave her Trazodone to help ensure she would be calm and relaxed for the grooming. I took time off from work to be home for the appointment, only to receive an email about 30 minutes beforehand stating there would be an additional $100 "handling fee." I never saw the email in time, and no one called or texted to discuss it. Instead, no one showed up for the appointment. The complete lack of communication, professionalism, and consideration for my time was extremely disappointing. After confirming the price, preparing our pet, and taking time off from work, I expected much better customer service.

If you're a nervous pup owner I cannot recommend One Pampered Pup enough! Our Harley is a very small yorkie who has never had a professional haircut. She's so small and gets very anxious at the vet that we never felt comfortable leaving her at a groomer. We had a relative come groom her when things got out of hand, and she hated it. Our relative was great with her and patient but Harley would shake the whole time, sometimes try to escape, and be in a mood for the rest of the day if not for a few days after. Harley gets matted very easily and we knew we had to find a professional to help with her very knotted legs . After seeing the amazing reviews for One Pampered Pup we decided to take the chance. I messaged them on Instagram with some details on her condition and how we were nervous and they responded so quickly and addressed all of our concerns. I just knew that I made the right choice already. When we dropped her off the place was very clean and someone came right up to check us in. They took a look at Harley and confirmed the matting would require a short cut and told me everything they intended on doing for her. I felt completely comfortable leaving her and so glad I did. We got a call back at a reasonable time frame to get her considering they were down a groomer and her knotting condition. I was so shocked to first see how amazing she looked, and second to see how calm she was to see me. She usually shaking and anxious to get into my arms and she was as calm as can be! No shaking, no panting or signs of anxiety at all! . They told me she did amazing even with taking care of the knots and even enjoyed some of it. I absolutely believe it. Harley looks so happy and confident and she smells like a cupcake lol I cannot stress enough how happy I am to have chosen this place. You can tell they really care about animals and do their best to take good care of your babies. I rebooked her right there and no longer worried about the care she'll get. This place is amazing! Both owners are so friendly and understanding. I have an extremely dog-reactive dog, especially in enclosed environments. In the past I have taken him to other groomers where he has stayed all day (6+ hours). Today Kim and her team had him done in under 2 hours. As I was running late for pick up they let me know he didn't do well in the kennel and let him hang out in the waiting area. I work at a vet and understand how difficult it can be to handle a dog who doesn't do well around others - specifically my own who can act like he's losing his mind! I'm so appreciative that they not only understood his faults, but totally knocked his haircut out of the park! He went in looking like a scruffy, unkempt street dog and came out looking like he was ready to go on the bachelor! ;) I would recommend One Pampered Pup to anyone looking to have their dog groomed - and specifically for those who's fur kids are on the 'special' side like mine! The people who worked there called animal control, lied to us and had her husband who is a cop lie to us, saying it was not our dog but a different one. They NEVER contacted us to tell us they called animal control on our dog. We specifically told them that she is aggressive because she was abused in the past and we didn't know if they would accept her. Instead of them telling us that they called animal control and made up lies to protect their ass. Sketchy place. They took my dog away from me. The owner makes rash decisions, involving her husband who is a cop to lie on her behalf. They called animal control on my dog because she was matted and had an ear infection. She showed no signs of an ear infection and we didn't know. She is matted because she is aggressive when people get too close to her in a small environment making it hard to bathe her. Plus that is the whole reason why we brought her to a groomer. So they called animal control saying she was in danger! Of WHAT, exactly, I don't know but I wouldn't reccommend this place to anyone! read more

I am never one to write reviews, but this salon, their customer service and their owners went above and beyond. I have three LARGE golden doodles that are very difficult and hyper. I have now been through five different grooming salons in fairfield county and it's always the same story- I drop them off and within an hour I'm told they're too hyper to work with. Kim & her husband sent me live photos and videos for the entire groom because of my anxiety with leaving them. They were patient, genuine and extremely professional not to mention the haircuts BLEW my expectations away!! You just got a lifetime customer and I cannot be happier that I found this gem!!! read more

Love Love Love One pampered Pup located in the perfect area of Paradise Green! You will not find any better groomers who are so patient and kind with your pups. The place is fabulous and so clean! I brought my two dogs, Spartan (pitbull) and Meatball (bulldog) too one pampered pup and was blown away from the care, professionalism and passion that both Kim & Justin as well as the whole team had. They made both of my dogs comfortable during the process and cleaned them to perfection. I would trust no one but One Pampered Pet with my puppies! Can't recommend them enough! I love this little gem!!!! I cannot say enough positive things about the experience I had. The service from Kim and her employees went above and beyond anything that I could have expected. I have never seen Buster (my dog) As comfortable with a groomer as he was with Kim. He was not kept in a crate for hours like most groomers which was the most important thing to me. I definitely recommend them! I get very cautious about leaving my dog in anyone else's care but they put me to rest. A very clean place and a very warm atmosphere. They asked all they questions before and cut his fur just right! Prices are great, especially since you will pay more at a store chain for less detail.
