If you're a nervous pup owner I cannot recommend One Pampered Pup enough! Our Harley is a very small yorkie who has never had a professional haircut. She's so small and gets very anxious at the vet that we never felt comfortable leaving her at a groomer. We had a relative come groom her when things got out of hand, and she hated it. Our relative was great with her and patient but Harley would shake the whole time, sometimes try to escape, and be in a mood for the rest of the day if not for a few days after. Harley gets matted very easily and we knew we had to find a professional to help with her very knotted legs . After seeing the amazing reviews for One Pampered Pup we decided to take the chance. I messaged them on Instagram with some details on her condition and how we were nervous and they responded so quickly and addressed all of our concerns. I just knew that I made the right choice already. When we dropped her off the place was very clean and someone came right up to check us in. They took a look at Harley and confirmed the matting would require a short cut and told me everything they intended on doing for her. I felt completely comfortable leaving her and so glad I did. We got a call back at a reasonable time frame to get her considering they were down a groomer and her knotting condition. I was so shocked to first see how amazing she looked, and second to see how calm she was to see me. She usually shaking and anxious to get into my arms and she was as calm as can be! No shaking, no panting or signs of anxiety at all! . They told me she did amazing even with taking care of the knots and even enjoyed some of it. I absolutely believe it. Harley looks so happy and confident and she smells like a cupcake lol I cannot stress enough how happy I am to have chosen this place. You can tell they really care about animals and do their best to take good care of your babies. I rebooked her right there and no longer worried about the care she'll get. I found One Pampered Pet on the Stratford Ladies page, highly recommended and our vet had COVID and broke his hip so I was desperately wanting to get my babies in for their nails, anals, and ears. We are from MA with two little pups. We usually had our pups hair cuts done by a woman who came to us. We decided to try going somewhere new and we had to look in CT due to the stop of grooming in MA from the corona virus..WE WERE AMAZED! The owners were so nice, friendly, and worked with us to get both dogs in at once since we had a far drive! Also the pup salon was so cute!! The outcome after their haircuts was nothing like we ever saw before they looked adorable but also had the perfect cut to make sure it was short like we asked! We couldn't have been happier with our salon choice for our pups! When things started reopening after being closed for Covid it was very difficult to get an appointment at the regular groomer for our multipoo, Gigi. One Pampered Pup was recommended to me. When I called, they also were fully booked. I spoke to Justin, who was a great introduction to the business. He was so friendly and said he would see what they could do for me. Justin got back to me saying they would fit Gigi in. I walked into the shop and was totally in awe. It's decorated beautifully and so clean! Gigi was returned to us looking beautiful and smelling great (they even put cologne on her)! I felt that we really treated her to a spa. We have never gone back to the original place. Every time we drop Gigi off she is so comfortable that she immediately goes to Kim. When we pick her up, she is perfectly calm and looks beautiful. Bait and switch: I called around for prices to groom my 130 lb Newfoundland. I was quoted $80. I travelled 45 minutes from home as this was the lowest bid. When I arrived with my dog, I was told it was $85-$90. When I picked up the dog, I was told the price was $110 and that I was getting a deal. I was then directed to give a tip in order to check out. By the time I paid, I could have had an expert groomer come to my home to groom my dog. read more
