We have been getting our dog groomed here ever since our old groomer, Lisa recommended them because she was going on hiatus. I've always dealt with Allison the owner (at least that's what I thought) but it wasn't until recently that I realized it's identical twin sisters who run the place. You can imagine how I felt when I walked in and saw them together!! I've always been pleased with the work they do. I love the clips, bows and even a bandana that they give my baby after every visit. The price is reasonable, I have a small dog. If you are looking for a groomer I highly recommend this place.

We were referred here by a friend who has a similar size dog (Charlie). Charlie is a rescue and has a difficult temperament. The staff insisted that we shouldn't sedate Charlie and so, we were worried how Charlie would behave for the groomer. From our first experience through till today, Coastal Canine has always returned Charlie looking and smelling fantastic. We couldn't be more satisfied! Charlie is usually very anxious but has no difficulties with walking in the door. The Staff is fantastic, the prices are very fair, the location is easy to find and the wait time is reasonable. I highly recommend this place. - Howard T.

Definitely a five star rating. They were Great with our dog their service was amazing.

Enjoying his summer cut at the park right out of Coastal Canine's front door!

They do an amazing job, always. After living in NYC and going through countless groomers, I am so relieved to have found somewhere as consistent, reliable, and meticulous as Coastal Canine in Southern CT. I have an Aussiedoodle who is not the easiest breed to groom, and they absolutely nail it every visit!

He has groomed our long-haired rescue Dachshund 3 times now. I was very worried about handing her over to him, as she suffers from a great deal of social anxiety and separation anxiety and has been known to growl and snap at strangers. The first two times Roman groomed her, she came out looking beautiful and surprisingly relaxed. I was thrilled. The next time did not go as well, unfortunately, but Roman handled it like the amazing pro he is. He had groomed my dog entirely, but when he went to cut her nails, she had a diarrhea attack in his van. He explained this to me, patiently. I was mortified, but Roman's concern was not for himself or his van, but only for my dog-- he wanted to figure out what triggered her response to make sure it didn't happen again. I feel lucky indeed to call myself a client of Roman and his Dog Gone Clean Mobile Salon!

We elected to go with a mobile groomer so we wouldn't displace the dogs by taking them to the vet or pet store. I have to say Roman made each one feel so comfortable and he did a great job with them. He also surprised each one with a bandana. We will definitely be using him again.

Thank goodness for VCA, who understood my situation and also gave me the price quote upfront. I was able to get an appointment next day. When we arrived for our midday appointment, I was immediately impressed by how clean and bright the facility was. Easy parking too. It also struck me how nice everyone was. Jaime at the front desk made checking in a breeze, and Pam was great at handling my dog while also taking notes. Dr. Lipsitz was also great with my dog and made the process quick and painless. While not our regular practice, I was very pleased with the experience. Two paws up.

Dunk suffered a very sudden decline in health a little over a week ago and we were forced to take him to a different vet. We had no clear answer as to his ailment but were prescribed pain medication and were told his time was near. Hoping to get more clarity, I called Baybrook and they got Dunkin in right away. Our family was well aware that at his age, there was probably not much that could be done but we just hoped it was an infection that could be cleared and maybe give us a little more time with him. We went in for the blood work and Dr. Lipsitz and her staff treated our boy with care and compassion. They listened and they understood the situation and I was very grateful. Let me preface this by saying Dunk rarely saw a vet but was always VERY healthy. He had a very bad experience several years ago at a local boarding facility and ever since then, he was petrified going to the vet's office, so much so that he would urinate on the floor and would snarl. Now, anyone who knows our boy knows he was the most gentle, playful, affectionate pup around and I wish you all at Baybrook could have seen that side of him. After receiving the results of the blood work, we scheduled an immediate ultrasound to check the abdominal area for the presence of a tumor or some other mass. Dr. Lipsitz's concern was that our boy had a mass that may have or may be in the process of rupturing. Unfortunately, just prior to us bringing Dunk in for the ultrasound, his legs went limp and he couldn't walk, presumably due to the rupturing of the mass. We carried him out of the house and brought him right to Baybrook. They took him immediately, all staff members helped. He was their priority. Sadly, our boy didn't make it. The care and compassion shown by everyone far exceeded our expectations. Dunk was brought to a private room where he was put to sleep surrounded by his family. The process was thoroughly explained and went as smooth as can be. We were given as much time alone with him as we needed once he passed and all staff members offered their condolences when we left. I can't say enough about this place and highly recommend it to anyone. It's going to take some time but we will get another pup one day and I can guarantee he/she will be seen here. Please see that Dr. Lipsitz and the rest of her staff sees this review so they can understand how thankful we are for making our boy's last minutes on this earth as peaceful as possible. Thank You

My regular vet office couldn't fit us in but Snowflake would, even as a new patient. I was able to save SO much by avoiding the animal ER. The prices were more than fair and my pup is well on his way to recovery. I am very particular about the care that my fur babies receive and I 100% recommend Snowflake to anyone who needs care or boarding for their pet. Thank you, everyone at Snowflake. In the record the receptionist wrote more about me than they did the dog. Wrote awful things about me. The last note said that they told me to go back to my to my prior vet. She is 18 and I don't want to put56 her thru the stress of the car ride. I thought what does it really matter about having blood work done. She is 18 now so its just about keeping her comfortable now. She is my bf and I would do whatever she needed. The receptionist wrote all sorts of things. Wish they paid more to my dog than me. The receptionist is also curt, passive aggressive making comments under her breath. I'm deeply disappointed in the behavior they exhibit as well as the care. I liked the vet he was informative. A place like that is replaceable. Many vets around that are good without the problems. It is a competitive market now with 15 vets or so in each town. We have choices not to pay an reasonable amount and have great healthcare for our animals. I am now going back to our old vet, they don't have to tell me twice. Unreasonable receptionist who thinks she is the vet herself.
