I will have to join the chorus of negativity unfortunately. I stopped in because I thought it was... well what it says it was. "A Welcome Center." What it really is, is a large food court. When I went in, none of the stalls were even open. There were a few workers roaming around who didn't ask me if I needed help. I hopped in the restroom and left. Now, I'll admit, when I came into the parking lot ( it clearly said that parking there was 5 dollars). But there was no parking lot attendant or machine... so I assumed that maybe they just wern't open and I thought that my suspicions were validated when I went in the building and saw a South-Of-The-Border style over-the-top food court that was completely empty. So I come out to my car and there is a piece of paper on it that says "Parking theft is theft and that you need to find the parking attendant and and pay him" So the parking attendant "coincidentally" hops up and gets to his booth. I tell him, "I was just going in to use the restroom and that I"m not staying" He charges me 5 dollars anyways for the 2 minutes I was there. And I left. Basically... you should know. This is NOT the visitors center. I hope you look on Yelp and see all the reviews before you scammed into paying 5 dollars for nothing. I also saw another man come out to a note on his car. as well before I left. It's an simple little scheme to get parking money... but it definitely works. read more

For my $20 parking I got a voucher for a free postcard and that made me walk in here. It's very touristy but I was happy with my beautiful postcard that I immediately used. Lots of souvenirs but the food court is most interesting. read more

It has been a while the last time I visited Niagara Falls NY side .....cause, I find Canadian side way better. On this visit, as part of our tour itinerary (touring my visiting niece from the Philippines), we were drop off at this welcome center, stayed for about hour before seeing the Falls Illumination across the street. The welcome center has food court, theater and shops. We watched the Native American dance performance in the Niagara Thunder Theater. It was okay, learned their native dances, but it was short and pricey for the charge. We tried one of the Chinese food booth in the food court. Food and service were a disappointment and found also to be pricey for the serving size. The shops carry mostly souvenir items and looked like most of the merchandise are an outdated stocks. Over priced. Building has funny smell all trough out. As much for their effort to make it a tourist good stop-over spot..... I agree with the other reviewer, this place turns out to be a tourist trap. Additional star for the rating is for its convenience to the falls and the big parking lot for the public. read more

Living in another border town (International Falls, Minnesota) I know the difference between tasteful souvenirs that show the US/Canada/North woods, etc and what's tacky. This stuff is low-rent, swap meet junk with a huge price tag. My guess is they're geared towards foreign visitors who'll never see Niagara Falls again. Since I was on foot, I made it through without spending a dime. That food court looks like a small town bingo hall that my grandma used to go to. I'm all for supporting local businesses, but this stuff looked like frozen food that was heated in the microwave for a couple minutes. We watched the Spirit of the Mist performance upstairs and the theater and show was excellent! I had a front row seat and special effects and dancing was very elaborate. After the show, we headed down to eat before crossing to Canada and the interior was very hot. With the cooking going on from the various vendors coupled with the summer heat, it was not enjoyable. However I enjoyed the variety of food options as there's pretty much something for everyone. The seating was also abundant. There were also mini stalls outside selling smaller souvenirs. read more

When traveling to Niagara Falls we parked at One Niagara before walking to the falls. The cost to park here was $5 which was half of the other lots. The "Welcome Center" itself had a variety of food choices and souvenirs. That being said, this building serves as a tourist trap to try and sell overpriced tour tickets and souvenirs. The staff here was lackluster and pushy, while the building itself was dirty and overcrowded. The bathrooms here were nasty and some other guests were complaining about the food quality. In the end not a bad place to park, but the other aspects of the center are terrible. read more

This place is not totally handicapped accessible. Handicapped people have to walk around the building to get to the other side where the entrance to the maid of the mist is. If you walk out the back door like you would expect to, you have to go down a whole bunch of stairs. If you don't want to take the stairs, you can walk out the front door or the side door and walk around the building. And then when you come back from the Maid of the Mist you have to walk around the building once again instead of going through it. I was exhausted and I had to climb up those stairs or else walk around the building to get inside. The ADA should do something about this. They have plenty of room to put some sort of a ramp out back. read more

Then the wonton in the wonton noodle soup did really have any filling in it and the noodles weren't that good. But your orange chicken was good!! Wow. You know one of the saddest things about this place is that it's one of the largest buildings you can see in the US when standing on the Canadian side. It actually looks kind of cool. And then you go inside and it is a trash fire of a souvenir hole that just felt gross. We were luckily here in the off season and were able to stop in and check it out without paying to get into their parking lot (which seems like it *might* be good in terms of pricing during peak season) and only came in because we got a coupon for 10% merchandise from the welcome bag I received at a conference. Needless to say, the coupon went unused and we laughed our way out of the store... Buy your souvenirs in Canada! The park system over there is completely self sufficient, so you're supporting the upkeep that way. read more

Very expensive food court. With 3 teenage girls all wanting something different we chose to walk across the street from the park, were only grilled hot dogs or hamburgers were being offered. Along with there nicer restaurants. Figuring the prices would be cheaper out of the park we were overly surprised... When chicken tenders ( with a heavy fish taste being fried in the same oil as the fried fish) along with fries were $12+. My cheesesteak was alright but nothing special, when it cost $14 along with the fries sharing the same hint of fish. My girlfriend and her daughter felt the orange chicken was fine. But Panda Express better and costing a lot less than the $16 bucks. Advice stay in the park, they have a few other options there which would cost less and surly taste better. Great place to have dinner if you are in a hurry to see the falls. Its location is great. Had dinner at Indian Spice and it was amazing. Next we saw the Native American Show!! What a great show. This place is souvenir overload. To the point that it's a bit obnoxious. I hade an I want this, no this, no this moment. There are 2 floors of shopping and a food court on the first floor. Didn't eat anything here but it did smell good. Prices are high but it's a souvenir shop so I guess the prices are pretty standard. We also parked in the parking lot. We managed to get a pretty good spot even though it was $15 I believe. With that though you can park all day. So say you want to leave then come back that's fine. My only concern with that would be that they don't manage the amount of people who come in. So if a bunch of people showed back up they would be out of luck until a spot opened up. It was convenient for us. We did get a few things from the gift shop but honestly it was hard deciding with so much crammed into one place. Honestly nothing was really a stand out.
