My friend and I recently visited Buffalo State, ( When we attended, both fellow Alumni Class of 2005) it was Buffalo State College. Fast forward , now its Buffalo State University; after receiving an email back late January, there was a happy hour coming up at the school we both decided to check it out. Vibrant building, friendly staff, felt a little older, then most of the attendees at the event, but that was alright. The speakers were more geared toward recent college graduates, or soon to be college graduate. Overall, nice mingling event, and opportunity to check out the campus updates, taco bar, and drink selection as well. This center isn't new, and opened back in 2018. My suggestion is your alumni of Buffalo State, and haven't visit campus in quite awhile, you'll be astounded by their improvements and updates. As a commuter, used to hang out in the Fireside Lounge, in the union during Bengal pause, on the aweful green coaches, now theres a beautiful fire place, equipped with comfortable sitting areas.

It's not often that a rest stop feels this thoughtful and well-maintained. The entire space felt welcoming and peaceful. It's perfect for a quick break or even a longer pause to stretch and reset. One of my favorite parts was the big I NY sign outside. It makes for such a fun photo! And inside, the photo opportunity kiosk was such a creative touch. You can snap a picture and send it to yourself right from there. If you're passing through, definitely take a few extra minutes to stop here. We have previously done the ferry (Canada side) years ago when I was a kid. We were just walking around the park because we never been the American side. The observation area, ferries and gift shop were pretty busy, especially during long weekends and holidays. The park has the 2 of the 3 Falls (the 2 smaller ones). I kind of feel like the park sort compensates for having the 2 smaller falls. It was a little bit glummy when we visited but was nice to visit the American side of the falls. The pathway and trails were well maintained and wide enough that you don't feel crowded. The park felt quiet and less busy but well visited once you were walking around.

The park was vibrant and full of visitors. I was impressed with the overall cleanliness of the park, as well as clear signage and displays for all the attractions. The highlight to me was the new visitor center. I believe the last time I tried the visitor center was 2019 and upgrades have been made. It's so modernized and attractive. Many clean bathrooms to use, lots of interactive displays, a cafe, and gift shop. You can tell a lot of money went into improving this place. I also liked that there were so many public restrooms available throughout the park and seating options including picnic tables and benches. We also saw lovely hanging baskets throughout the park. Everything looked so good and well maintained. A great park for a day trip. Make sure to check out the maid of the mist at least once!

I liked too how they have a Tim Horton's in the downstairs area. I highly recommend buying the iced wine chocolates, and I regret only having bought one tiny box of them, because they're absolutely delish. You can see a variety of wildlife pond life, avian life, as well as so many different types of foliage. It was a nice peaceful walk on a flat path that was graveled and wide enough for many people to pass by each other without touching the foliage at the side of the path. There are many little offshoots towards the ponds that have a bench to sit on and watch and wile away the hours , if you choose. The pond lilies are plentiful and beautiful pink color many of which are blooming right now and the end of July. If you are looking for a vigorous hike, this is not the place.This place has flat paths that wind through the woods and around ponds and are very peaceful and quiet. In the early mornings, you can see beavers hard at work.You can see dear browsing for food.There are many birds singing happily in the trees, as well as ducks , geese and turtles in the ponds.
