I truly thought that I knew just about everything about Buffalo, NY but this fabulous bus tour…read moretaught me a thing or two about my hometown! Everything about Buffalo Double Decker Bus Tours is First Class, from the guide, Officer O'Connor, to the comfortable bus, and the tour itinerary. We booked a group of 13 ladies on the Silos and Canal Side tour on a spectacular summer afternoon. The walking tour of the grain elevators started just outside of Riverworks with our incredibly talented guide, Officer O'Connor. In period dress from the early 1900's, Officer O'Connor had a good grasp on Current Events as well as the historical. We were introduced to the horrendous working conditions of the immigrants who eked out a living during the glory days of Buffalo's grain milling past. As the winds blew through the open windows, someone on the tour whispered a comment about the restless spirits of those who died within these massive concrete walls. Next, we hopped on the famous double decker bus and began the driving tour. I was impressed that Officer O'Connor presented a mix of humorous improvisation along with well researched historical facts. He obviously knew his audience, and tailored his comments accordingly. I would highly recommend any of these tours, there are many to choose from. I'm looking forward to my next tour!

He was very knowledgeable and interacted, not only with those of us on the bus, but with the people out of the street. We took the murder mystery tour And had an absolute blast. I also have to say that we were supposed to be taking the afternoon tour and the owner operator was very nice to accommodate us to skip and let us come on an earlier tour because we arrived three hours ahead of our actual tour. He was also very accommodating with my mobility scooter in that we were able to get it on the bus and out of everyone's way and I did not have to collapse it. Anytime you're in the Buffalo area. I highly recommend this company.

Bus - Was Super Nice and Super Clean Driver - Hugh was the Best , from his knowledge of the city , from his hospitality and willingness to lend a hand ( Loading and Unloading ) I sat in the front seat and really enjoyed our conversation Hotel- Was Great super close to the city ( I accidentally misinformed everyone telling them breakfast was included because I looked on their website and it said Breakfast was included ) I took full responsibility for that, I didn't realize it didn't include group reservations. My Fault :) Drop-Off / Pick-Up - Only suggestion would be to have the DO/PO @ The Empire State Building - Seems to less congestion . It was Super Busy @ 1 Penn Plaza Driver - He was too good not to mention twice , just a super nice driver that seemed to really enjoy his job and spoke very highly of your company. It's always nice to be around someone like that Thank You Both for Working with our Group , We look forward to traveling with you again

I cannot say enough great things about Discovery Tours and our guide for the day, Tim…read more We stopped in the area for the day on our way to Toronto and decided to do the Undiscovered Winery Tour...we couldn't be more happy with our decision. Our guide Tim picked us up at the Fallsview Casino, which was convenient for us, before we picked up one more group of 2. The small group of us (4 plus Tim) was just the right size. Tim was very knowedgeable both about wine and the Niagra region. He took the time to get to know each of us and what tastes were like in wine. We stopped at 4 wineries (all were equally delicious, although I'd have to say my favorite was the red Ice Wine from Vineland) and each time Tim brought us inside, introduced us to the staff, and helped offer suggestions based on what he had learned about us. We also learned the proper way to taste at our very first stop. This was a welcome change from other tours we have done in the past where the tour bus simply stops in the parking lot while you go inside, sample, then come out when you are ready to leave. This was much more personable and made for an excellent tour experience. In addition to the 4 wineries we stopped at the Upper Canada Cheese company to sample their fine cheeses, as well as stopped mid-day in Jordan Village for lunch. The tour was well structured and you had plenty of time to shop after each tasting as well if you wanted to (although none of the wineries/staff were pushy in any way whatsoever.) Overall it was a great day, great experience, and I would certainly consider other future tours with Discovery.
