I have used this dry cleaner for as long as I can remember, but I do not want to anymore because they are not eco-friendly (they use tons of plastic), they don't accept Apple Pay, and they have sometimes damaged my finer items (drastically shrunk my boiled-wool coat; damaged silk blouse; damaged buttons). read more

I have had an awesome experience with alterations here. They are super candid about what they can and may not be able to fix. Super affordable and always have given me a great product. I have had three separate types of Jean alterations done here and they all have extended the pant lifespan exponentially! We are regular customers and bring in dress shirts and dry cleaning weekly, and larger items on occasion. The people have always been friendly and great, I've never felt overcharged. Stains will magically disappear. Occasionally they will point out older garments are wearing out, which is helpful. We have been using them for years. read more

Absolutely unprofessional and rude people here all of a sudden. I dealt with a lady here before many times and she was nice and helpful she even did Apple Pay with me there she didn't know it was possible but she showed me they had the Apple Pay sticker on their door but never used it before and she thought it was cool. Ok no problem... until the next time I go back I was told flat out that cannot use Apple Pay because it's too much in terms of fees they need to pay because of it and they would be losing money. Really? I was told it was the decision of the owner and that there is nothing they could do about it. I asked if I could speak with the owner and found out he wasn't there. I asked if I could talk to him on the phone or schedule an appointment to meet him there to talk about the apply pay option and if there is anyway it could continue to be accepted. I was informed the owner would not talk to me. The owner won't talk to their customers?!?! Odd. I'll never come here again and I also recommend nobody else here comes because also when I was being checked out the Asian lady at the register coughed open mouth and that is a huge no no especially during a crisis that we are going through right now!!! I grabbed my stuff paid wiped everything down washed my hands used antibacterial and I'll never go there again. Ever!!! There are so many better options around they may be the closest to my residence but I rather make a trip further or maybe even set up pick up drop off services since I do use the dry cleaning and hand pressing services very frequently. Because you wanted to nickel and dime me due to much more processing fees to your merchant account now you'll be losing a customer that would visit many times at least 4 times a month. On to better things. I also thought they didn't do that good a job to keep the collars and cuffs clean on your button up shirts. I had them do my buttons and they started getting loose again. Good dry cleaner. Seems expensive but it's by my house, so whatever. I had great experiences with a different "Martinizing" cleaner on Grand Ave in Oakland when I lived over there, so I thought this place would be similar. It's not, but it's where I go. You should just go there, too. And do like me when you get your stuff back and swear your sweaters feel just a wee-bit greasy and smell like chemicals and vow to handwash from then on. And then don't think about it again until your sweaters start to smell like pits and you can either handwash like a loon or send them to One Hour Martinizing. read more

This place engages in blatant GENDER-PRICE DISCRIMINATION. This establishment charges women customers the "blouse-rate" for non-dart/cotton shirts/unisex shirts. When women that work here quote a service price, it's the same price for men & women. Once and a while, the men (father) charges the equal and fair rate, other times the son wants to argue about how a "blouse" has to be hand ironed. read more

Avoid this place, it is completely unprofessional. I dropped of three new pairs of dress pants to be dry cleaned, and paid for same day service. Upon getting home, I realized that one pair had been ripped and one pair was not mine. I returned to the store and the woman in front stated that when I dropped off the pants they were already ripped, but could not explain or know where my other pair of pants was. I dropped off the stranger's pants and went on my way. I was offered nothing in compensation. Take your business elsewhere. read more

At my last dry cleaner, two of my shirts came back with buttons that looked like someone had tried to smoke them through a crack pipe. So there was no way I was sending my new Thomas Pink shirt there. I decided to give One Hour Martinizing a shot and things started off a little uncomfortably as they asked me what the stains were on my shirt and I had absolutely no idea. But, I guess it really didn't matter because they cleaned that shirt up proper! And in their compacted waiting area, they even have water and coffee readily available for all their customers but believe me, I haven't had to wait long enough to make use of it. I think I've found my new dry cleaner... and eventually they'll stop asking me about all the mysterious stains. read more

The location is great and the lobby is clean but the staff handling your clothes is prone to mistakes when pressing. They have pressed my three button coat as a two button and recently scorched the collar of a nice dress shirt. They repressed my coat but stonewalled me on the value of the ruined shirt. What should be their business write off became my out of pocket expense. I won't be going back. Don't take anything there that is special to you or that you need done right the first time. read more

Their dry-cleaning is fine, no complaints. About their laundering: Two big problems: they use a scented starch and they don't press the sleeve plackets on shirts. Before I could wear my shirts, I would hang them for two days to rid them of the stench of perfume, and before wearing them, I had to press the sleeve plackets. Their customer service is curt; the clerks (and even the owner, for that matter) never say "thank you." I took my business to the OHM franchise on University Avenue in Berkeley and I'm very satisfied with their work. read more

Don't use your credit card here and double check your receipts. I only brought my dry cleaning here a handful of times and twice they had charged a wrong amount and I had to ask for a correction. Not a big deal. What is a big deal is the last time I came here my credit card had a fraudulent charge on it the next day. I figured it could be coincidence until the same thing happened to my husband a week later. We alerted the credit card companies and needless to say never went back. read more

I have been going to this dry cleaners since we moved into this area, 10 years ago. Their service is wonderful and friendly, I would totally recommend it. I have never had a problem with the service and cleaning/dry cleaning. One time, I left a quite bit of money in my jacket pocket, and remembered the next day. I was so upset, but before I could ask, they handed me my money in an envelope the day I picked my suit jacket up. They are so reliable and caring people! Went here for the first time today. I saw that they offered one hour dry clean from 8am to 2pm, I walked in at 9:30am and they said I could pick up my shirts up earliest at 4pm. I should have took that as a sign I was not going to get good service. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and of course they did a horrible job. I dropped off two shirts one I planed on wearing tonight but I guess not. I pick up my shirts and my shirt was still wrinkled and crinkled like a Del Taco fry In a plastic bag. I asked why my shirt was still wrinkled and she replied "Oh that the style of shirt" ...I said as politely as I could that it wasn't and I would like my shirt fixed. I was then told I would have to pay an additional charge for them to correct their shity job. read more

What a horrible experience. This place deserves negative stars. to dryclean a shirt cost $5.15! a 2pc suit costs $10.75 witch is reasonable. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. I brought in 2 suits, 1 shirt, a sport coat and a pants. the suits came out great, however my Polo dress pants are now ruined with extra stains on them. I almost never wear these pants, I just had them drycleaned at more normal place, (they take up to a week and so were not suitable for this trip), put them on once and wanted them drycleaned and pressed for my business trip in 2 days. all the items came back perfectly clean and pressed EXCEPT these Polo pants. They look like they got damed in the machine, as there are patches of on pressed fabric. Plus there are large 4 inch slightly bleahed looking stains!! I had pointed out some rips on the suite that I wanted them to be careful of. I asked for them to tape over that area on my suits to not cause further damage. The Polo pants really just needed to be pressed with a nice crisp seam. the lady tried to take my receipt and hand me a new receipt stating that the pants were discolored. i told her no they were not, reminding her we went over the garment before she took them. she claimed to have discovered the discolor after I left. i asked her why she did not call me immediately to inform me of this new fact. She then got mad at me and insisted that the stains and discoloration was already there. I asked to speak with the manager and was told to call early in the morning. I was also told that since this was my first visit i would receive a coupon. that was a lie too. My only hope is Mr. Lee can fix this problem or buy me a new pair of pants. The only good that has come of this is now I can tell everyone what happened to me so they can make an informed decision. I plan on writing a follow up once i speak with the owner Mr LEE. Please don't make the mistake I made, do yourself a favor and check around. just because a business has been there for years does not make it a good place. If this matter goes unresolved I will do everything to make sure everyone knows the truth. read more
