This salon is beautiful and my attendant was lovely. I chose this particular bridal shop as it mentions extended sizes, and as a gal with some curves, I knew I needed it as I'm not a size 6 off the rack. Unfortunately, that was a very false claim on their website as there were less than 10 dresses to choose from and from a designer they are no longer working with. I was able to squeeze into several dresses and they put material in the back to try and show what it might look like if it closed, but it was very uncomfortable, very unflattering, and not the bridal experience I was hoping for. There were 2 gowns I loved , but neither close to my size so I couldn't get an actual sense what they would look like on my wedding day. There are no other options, you just have to buy the dress (both were around $1800 plus tax and alterations) and pray it actually looks good. That's gonna be a heck no for me. 5 stars for the salon and the personalized attention, 2 stars for the overall experience. read more

This was the best bridal gown shopping experience I had. It's a little boutique store that isn't very big but has a surprisingly huge selection of every style dress you could think of. I loved the fact that this studio wasn't very big because it meant that I got the attention I wanted. I actually had the whole studio to myself for my appointment. Before I even walked in a noticed that my name was written on their board outside. It made me feel extra excited and extra welcome. The stylist they paired me with for my appointment was Stephany. She was amazing, and I want to be her friend even outside of the store! She first gave me a tour of the entire studio, then personally took me around to each section and helped me pick a dress from each style. We tried one of everything to narrow down what I really liked, and then she picked dresses based on the pieces I kept commenting that I liked. She was spot on with her choices. She even made sure that my mom and sister felt involved in the appointment too. Stephany was perfect at showing every aspect of each dress and highlighting my features and listening to what I want. She even joked around with me, asked me about my fiancé, and just made it an all around fun time. The dresses they have to choose from are all so beautiful. It was hard to even narrow it down to one that I loved. The studio was comfortable and cozy (like my own living room) so I was able to feel right at home. I brought a lot of people and they accommodated everything perfectly for us all. This was my first time finding a dress and I started getting discouraged after a few dresses. I tried on a bunch of different dresses in a bunch of different styles. She was so helpful in guiding me in the right direction. As the Mother of the Bride, you are a bundle of nerves the day your daughter wants to go look for dresses. You can only hope that she finds the "One" she has been dreaming of. In some cases, it ends up being one she didn't know existed. I went with my husband, daughter and a few of her friends to One and Only to look for my daughter's wedding dress. We had the last appointment of the day and per Orlando traffic, we were almost late. So being a little flustered, the ladies at One and Only put us at ease right away. My daughter picked out a dress or two, I found one and her dad found one. She loved all of them, some more than others. The past taking care of us knew my daughter hasn't feel in love with the "One". She asked my daughter what was holding her back. She said she just didn't feel it, and then asked is there a dress that I haven't tried on that you would have picked for me to try on. And the bridal specialist said, yes, I'll be right back. As soon as she came back, my daughter's eyes lit up and a huge smile came to her face. She went back and tried it on. When she came out, you knew that it was "The One". My daughter was glowing, I had to hold back tears and her dad was speechless. This was my first bridal boutique visit since I've been engaged. That being said I didn't expect to get a dress today but more of a feel for the different styles. My consultant was Alli and she was so amazing and helpful. We walked through the store while she explained all the different styles they had. It's a smaller boutique and the dresses you see on the floor are the dresses you'll try on. I tried on 8 dresses and found the dress! My experience today was so easy, everyone should come here. They don't do in house alterations, but they do have places they will recommend you to. At the end of the day they popped some champagne and let us celebrate! The idea of wedding dress shopping had always seemed daunting and intimidating to me, especially since I have been having a string of bad luck when it comes to customer service throughout my lifetime. I am a minority who looks extremely young, therefore causing me to be dismissed at times in stores. Regardless, having worked in customer service myself, I usually have very high hopes on how I am treated in stores. With that being said, I was BLOWN AWAY by how welcoming and helpful the staff was at O&O. The young lady who assisted me was Faith, who immediately greeted me upon entrance. Throughout our interaction, she truly made me feel welcome and helped me bring out the inner confidence that I never knew I had. That honestly speaks volumes! She was very attentive and helpful in her suggestions. Faith was very patient with me throughout the whole process and was able to help me pick out styles that best suited my body frame. While my attendant was very sweet and tried her best to be accommodating. We could not help but notice that they paired us, the only minority customers in the salon, with the only minority stylist on their staff present that day. Whether that was on purpose or by accident, who knows. It felt purposeful though due to the unwelcoming atmosphere and behaviors of the other stylists present during our appointment. I'm not sure if they were stereotyping us or what, but the smirks and looks exchanged between the other stylists were obvious and beyond awkward. My family and I were shocked since the salon is in one of the most diverse cities and had such wonderful reviews! I don't know if it was due to the way we look, how we were dressed, or if it was because we spoke some Spanish to my grandmother during our appointment. We could not even stay the full time of the appointment because of how uncomfortable the other staff made us feel. Later on, while looking at the photos of the few dresses I did try on, we realized we may have overlooked "the one" because of how awful the experience was. Either way, I'm writing this to warn others. Don't waste your time or money, go somewhere that supports all kinds of brides no matter their background. Even though the dresses and decor were beautiful, the staff's awful behavior made it our worst appointment out of the five salons we went to. Don't ruin the special experience of looking for your wedding dress by dealing with this salon's rude staff. I ended up finding my dress that same day at a different salon in Winter Park. The staff at the salon in Winter Park treated us with respect and cared for us like we were family. Honestly I can't say enough about them. I have never felt so welcomed in a bridal shop during my whole wedding journey. Being trans I just wasn't sure how it was going to go but they were kind and friendly and never skipped a beat. I recently had an appointment here and my experience was nothing short of horrible. I'm not sure if the stylist I had was having a bad day, but she was not friendly or helpful. She did not ask me what I was looking for, my budget, or if I didn't like a dress she did not ask me what it was I wasn't in love with about it. As someone who works in fashion, being personable is key. When I did feel a little off about a dress, she suggested I wear shape wear. Mind you I am an average size 6 and I'm 5'5 (not that it matters, but instead of saying kind words, she resorted to it's my body that's the issue, not the dress). The selection was small and I felt uncomfortable dressing and undressing with someone who didn't turn when I was completely undressed and then made that kind of remark about the shape wear. This was suppose to be a joyful experience and instead I was robbed of it. Thankfully, I found my dress later that day and I am in love with it. I truly think had I found my dream dress here I still wouldn't have purchased for the sole lack of customer service. I suggest anywhere but here. read more

What was initially supposed to be one of my more lighthearted days of the ridiculously, stressful wedding planning process quickly turned into a nightmare you only see in movies. I decided to try out One & Only bridal in Orlando, FL because I had my heart set on a particular designer, Berta, and was planning to try it on and most likely order the same day. The staff all seemed friendly and knowledgeable upon arrival and I was greeted by Faith who would be the employee helping me out. Once I told her about wanting to try on the Berta dresses, I was immediately told I could only have those dresses alone in the fitting room, even though I had multiple other dresses in the room already, because they were so expensive. I explained that I really was only there for the Berta dresses and my desire was immediately dismissed by Faith, who seemed more intent on having me try on other dresses. After various requests to try on the Berta dresses, Faith then told me they were too small and would not fit me. When she finally agreed, I was left alone in the fitting room, half undressed, for over 5 minutes. When she finally returned, I was told that she checked, and the dress is not made in my size. Upon further inquiry, it turns out the dress is made in my size. For that I have been to other bridal shops and been able to try on dresses that don't completely fit, to see how they would look once ordered to size at, the very least. I was venting to family who was with me when Faith must have overheard me and immediately changed her tone, saying she would bring the Berta dresses... but the damage had been done. Her overall condescending tone, reluctance to let me try on the "expensive dress" and various other excuses left a terrible taste in my mouth. My wedding dress shopping experience had been ruined and I have never felt so judged before. It was literally a scene out of "Pretty Woman". As a black woman I can't help but wonder was it a race issue, a socioeconomic issue, a body shaming issue? Does it matter? I worked with Kate to try on dresses and found their selection to be full of a ton of different styles that were very unique especially compared to others I had seen locally. Kate was so well informed, funny, and helpful. Her suggestions were tailored to me and what I wanted versus trying to just make a sale or talk me into something. I loved working with her and highly recommend requesting her as your stylist! The team at One and Only Bridal is phenomenal. After a bad experience dress shopping the week prior, I was a little nervous about booking an appointment with another bridal boutique. My goal was to find a unique gown that was also within my modest budget. O&O did not disappoint! They had a wide selection of styles, sizes, and price points. The team at One and Only was very patient, helpful, and kind. They were also very accommodating to my large party (5 people). Going into the appointment I was a bit unsure of what style I was looking for, and my stylist Alli was so helpful. She encouraged my party and myself to look around the floor and pull anything that we loved. It wasn't long before I found my gown. Instead of rushing me out, Alli suggested we try to "beat" my gown to make sure I wouldn't have any buyers remorse. Where do I even begin? This was my second time shopping and the third boutique that I went to. All I can say is that I wish I had gone here first because not only are the dresses amazing, but the O&O ladies are phenomenal. On my appointment day, I took 4 close friends and my mom with me for some extra reassurance. As soon as we walked up to the shop, there was a cute little whiteboard outside that said "Hey Gorgeous!" with the brides' names and wedding dates on it. I was so excited to see my name because it was such a small attention to detail but it meant SO much! One of the shops I had gone to previously couldn't remember my name. After about an hour, I bought a dress that I had absolutely fallen in love with and my girls and I were all treated to a champagne toast. Let me pause here to say that Lacie was my consultant and she is AMAZING. She was so helpful and knew exactly what I wanted - especially when I wasn't so sure myself! Like most brides, I have several insecurities and she made me feel like a princess. Even though I adored the dress I bought, I had dress anxiety the following day. Knowing that I had signed the sales agreement and being fully aware that I was the one who had made the conscious decision, I messaged Lacie and explained to her what was going through my head. Without any hesitation whatsoever, she told me to come in the following day so that she and Katherine (the manager...who is ALSO amazing by the way) could help me and make sure I was a happy bride. As soon as I walked into the shop, they both greeted me with a huge smile and assured me that what I was going through was totally normal. To make a long story short, not only did they help me without blinking an eye, but they made me feel so much better and like I was definitely not crazy. We all hugged, and I left feeling so incredibly happy!! I would not trade my experience at this shop for anything else. All of the girls were so friendly, but Katherine and Kirsty truly went above and beyond to make me feel special. The Boutique is so stunningly gorgeous with so many personal touches. Personal one-on-one service in a modern styled showroom stocked with a gorgeous collection with sizes and shapes for all! Their service style is accommodating and very low pressure. This store had the quality and luxurious feel of the high end boutique, with the selection and affordability of the big box stores. While they have a good sized collection, it's a service-oriented shop so there aren't many dressing rooms. You MUST make an appointment, but it's so worth setting the time aside! Bonus: they carry plus size lines so if you're on the busty or curvy side, you're not doomed to David's Bridal. I LOVE my gown and cannot wait to wear it this September. read more

Mid/plus size women beware! This shop does not carry plus size bridal dresses. 95% of the dresses are a bridal size 10 (real size 4/6). I called twice to make sure they had dresses in my size and the style of dress I was looking for (A-line) and they assured me they did and stated they had a large selection. They did not. They had a handful of poofy out of style ball gowns. They were hideous. I was told there were plus size gowns scattered around the store and to pull what I liked. Didn't ask for my budget. I posted and described what I wanted prior to the appointment (on lookbook), along with my regular dress size (16/18) on my profile. My stylist kept pulling these ball gowns that were far from what I was describing because she didn't have anything in the store. I was mortified and so was my stylist as she was new. If this had been the first place I went to, I would have hysterically cried. Please don't waste your time if you're above a size 6. I would have rather they called and cancelled my appointment then wasting my time and causing me extreme embarrassment. I highly recommend making an appointment [as you would with most bridal salons] so you can have a personal stylist to help you. Our budget was on the lower end and although I felt that most of the dresses would be out of our price range they were right within budget. I highly recommend going in with an open mind; what I thought I wanted was not what I left with! From the moment you walk into one and only, you feel like a princess. I was worried that having to wear a mask was going to hinder the experience, but my consultant Faith was so incredible that I completely forgot I was wearing a mask. My party was seated on a lovely couch while I was given tour of the dresses. Before your appointment, you are provided with an online look book to pick your favorite dresses. Faith had looked over mine and already had dresses I liked on hand. I tried on 5 dresses and was made to feel so beautiful in all of them, even the ones that didn't quite fit right. The sixth dress was the one and it was such an amazing experience for me and my bridal party. I was allowed to try on veils and necklaces and headpieces to see what the perfect accessories would be for my dress, but never felt pressured to purchase anything. Unfortunately, my mom was not with me as this appointment and Faith totally understood that I couldn't say yes without her. So she wrote down all my dress information and I came back Sunday with my mom and aunt. I was allowed to try on more dresses (my mom and aunt's picks) until both Faith and I knew it was time for the big reveal in "the one". She allowed to me to come out already "jacked up" to really give my family the idea of how perfect this dress was. She had them close their eyes and then open them when we were ready. Everyone was crying, Faith and other consultants included, and that made me feel so incredibly beautiful and special. I cannot thank them enough for the incredible experience I had. I have honestly never felt so special when shopping. I was honestly incredibly nervous about this experience because of my body image issues, but the staff at one and only really gave me my princess moment and I cannot thank them enough for that.
