I would leave 0 stars if I could. The owner Demetrie should be shut down and reported to the Better Business Bureau.
Visited BGS Orlando in Fall of 2021 for my wedding Summer 2022 - picked out + purchased a dress in December 2021. Dress was due to arrive in May 2022 for my first fitting. Two weeks into the month I had not heard from anyone. They said someone would call me, finally when I called back a week later, they said the dress had been there for a week already. Red flag #1.
BGS ordered it too small and wouldn't fit me. I had requested the back brought down 2-3 inches and confirmed with the manager at time of purchase. The back was completely REMOVED and now started "at waist-line"; it now started at my butt-crack and was incredibly inappropriate. Because the chest was also too small, they should have ordered a brand-new dress with PROPER measurements and rush shipped it. INSTEAD spent from May to my wedding WEEK in August going back and forth for fittings while the seamstress wasted time. Wedding was the first week of August, it's the last week in July and my dress at fitting #10+ STILL doesn't fit and had so much work done to it, it was the Frankenstein dress of nightmares (as the seamstress NAMED it HERSELF) and looked not like a custom gorgeous bridal gown but a costume from a cheap theater production. In total was $3600+ and at this point I now needed to spend ALL week of my wedding scrambling to find a back-up dress and veil.
BGS claimed I picked up the dress myself on 7/28/2021 which was A LIE. I NEVER ONCE left the studio dress in hand, EVER. Still unfinished the seamstress had to drive it to MY house 7/30 @7am before I am flying to my hometown. STILL didn't fit + she brought the sample dress I tried on in December which was a size 12 (I'm a 4), she said she would still try and fix my dress PLUS make the 12 my size since the chest in that dress fit (that she soaked in Woolite at home). She made no changes for weeks.
Left for my wedding, no dress, no veil, pure anxiety panic the full range of disappointment. All days leading up to my wedding the seamstress reassuring me she was done, it was perfect, and she was rush shipping it out that Monday (wedding on Friday). MORE LIES.
Had to put off every other things I had to do that week because of this and ended up scrambling, stressed, crying, depressed, and beyond behind in all the other preparations. I had to rush order a plain dress online (which ended up being my dress), paid $400 for overnight rush alterations which only included the hem brought up nothing else, rush to find an affordable veil which was another $300.
Wedding Day 8/5/22 - STILL. NO. DRESS. Radio silence until mid-afternoon it FINALLY arrived - only one dress not two. STILL DIDN'T FIT (I wish I was kidding).
Filed a report with the credit card company since the salon wouldn't honor any refund after this ordeal, we even sent back the dress + veil which they signed for. Hung up on my mother when she called both locations, spouted more lies, and avoided her calls all together after a few weeks. They FORGED my signature + date on the pickup forms claimed I left happy with the dress in-person the week before in-hand. I have proof because I know my own handwriting. They claim we wanted our money back because of laughable lies saying my mother was upset about the style since my tattoos (I'm heavily tattooed hard not to), and my BOOB JOB showed (I'm all natural, never mentioned any breast augmentation, and wtf)?!?
