I grew up going to Park Ave and this was my dream place to try bridal gowns on. I had the chance to fulfill my dream and this was the first place I made an appointment, thinking I would find the one. However, immediately the bridal gown consultant was rude and dismissive. I knew somewhat what I wanted but needed help finding the exact words for styles, cuts, etc. and she seemed less than pleased to help. Additionally, after describing what I hoped for in a dress and what I didn't like, all the dresses fell under the descriptions I gave for what I didn't like. I felt like my needs fell on deaf ears and they still pushed for sales at the end of the appointment. They were overall rude, stuck up, and tainted my dream of coming here to try on dresses. After shopping at six (yes, six) other bridal stores, I found the absolute perfect wedding dress at The Collection Bridal. Here's the thing: I found dresses I liked at pretty much every other store I had visited in the Tampa Bay area. But they weren't "the one" and I knew it. You see, there was this dress I had seen online from bridal designer Madi Lane that I had fallen head-over-heels in love with -- and I knew I couldn't make a final decision without trying this dress on. Just one problem: I couldn't find any stores near me that carried this dress! Even stores that carried Madi Lane didn't have this particular dress in stock. I started calling every Florida dress shop that carried this designer. Some would just flat-out tell me "no, sorry," while two offered to arrange for a loaner dress to be shipped in -- which was nice, but I'd have to pay, of course. The fee would be applied toward the cost of the dress if I chose it. I would've taken them up on this offer, until I spoke to The Collection, who told me they had the dress in stock! So I immediately made an appointment, and since it was far enough away that my friends couldn't join me on this particular weekend, my fiance actually came along for the ride -- but stayed down the street at Panera while I went to try on dresses. Melanie was my stylist, and as soon as she asked what I was looking for, I turned around and pointed to my dress -- which was on the mannequin in the window. "THAT ONE!" She grabbed it off the display along with a few other dresses that fit the style I was looking for, and we headed into the dressing room. Of course, we made the mistake of trying on "my" dress first, because I instantly knew that was it. I didn't want to take it off. Everything else just looked terrible in comparison. Melanie knew it too... but I didn't want to say it was "the one" because none of my friends were there for that "say yes to the dress" moment. You only get one of those, after all. And she understood, so she made a follow-up appointment for me so I could bring my friends back to Winter Park and make a day of it. A few weeks later, that's exactly what we did. We road tripped from Tampa and walked in, where this time Roya took care of us since Melanie was working with another bride. They had my dress all ready for me to try on, and as soon as my friends saw it, they knew it was exactly what I had been looking for. They brought us all out glasses of champagne, and let us take a million photos from every angle you could possibly imagine. I think we were there just as long as a regular dress shopping appointment, haha. Looking back at photos from that day, I have the biggest grin on my face! I've never been one who really cared a whole lot about fashion or high-end clothing, shoes, or anything of the sort -- so I had NO idea a dress could do this to me. Go figure. Once again, I did not want to take that dress off. Probably a good sign that I made the right choice :) That was at the end of July, and they told me the dress would be in by December. So I was pretty surprised to have them call me at the end of September to tell me my dress was ready to be picked up! I wasn't able to get over to Winter Park until about a week and a half later, but the pickup process was super quick and easy. It wasn't until this final visit that I actually realized there's a free parking garage right behind the building. I'd only found it because there was a massive street festival going on that made regular parking pretty much impossible -- but on all my previous visits, we'd managed to find street parking just fine. The place is obviously in a really good location being right on Park Avenue in Winter Park, but the selection seems minimal. A lot of heavier and bigger ball gown type dresses. We were a little disappointed in the service. While the person working seemed nice and offered us water and such, we felt really rushed from the time we got there. There was mention that there was another appointment coming up, which was about an hour and 15 minutes until that appointment time. It just wasn't feel like a place I wanted to be nor a place we would find *the* dress at due to the atmosphere. The people working weren't unpleasant, but they definitely didn't make us feel good at all. We only ended up staying for like 45 minutes instead of our full time. I even started booking appointments at other bridal shops during this appointment. It's a meh from me. You're probably much better off going somewhere else and saving some time and money. read more

I stopped in on a whim today and had no clue where to start or what I was looking for and Megan was so quick to jump in and put me at ease and helped me into dresses I never would have picked for myself and absolutely fell in love with! After an exhausting search for the perfect bridal gown for my daughter, Collection Bridal came to the rescue. They were the only bridal shop in the area who listened to what my daughter wanted--they had vision and had her try the most beautiful options that it became so hard to choose the ONE! But she did and it was like magic. So many styles and price ranges. The staff was amazing, experienced and talented. The dress fit my daughter like a glove and the alterations were reasonable. We even found the perfect head piece and earrings there! It was fun to sip champagne and watch the ladies do their thing to help my daughter's dreams come true. We went here for my sisters first wedding dress try on and we had the worst experience. Her bridal consultant was Molly and before the try on she sat my sister down to talk about budget, size, and overall what she was looking for. My sister told Molly that her size was 18-20 and then she moved her to the dressing room and only gave her size 14 dresses to try on. After being in the dressing room for about 15 mins, my sister comes out in tears that nothing fit her. It was embarrassing and very disappointing. Molly is a heavier set women, so she should understand that pulling 4-6 sizes too small was NOT going to fit her. She should have just told my sister from the beginning that they didn't have that size in the store or should have told us when we made the appointment over the phone, so my sister didn't have to go through this mortifying experience. No one should ever go through something like this, it doesn't matter what size you are. If you try on anything that is 4-6 sizes too small it will not fit!!! I am so upset with how Molly handled this when it could have easily been avoided. I just hope they don't do this to any other bride. What a horrible experience! The next place we went to was appalled with what we told them happened at Collection Bridal. The bridal consultant there had multiple options for her right away that were ACTUALLY her size! read more

As a first time bride who has never put a wedding dress on in her whole life I can say the ladies here made the whole experience a pleasure! They helped me find the style that works best for my body and I never felt pressured into doing anything I wasn't comfortable with. A big wedding gown store that does not need an appointment to visit. that in it self is a rarity. They have a very large selection of dresses and a large price range to chose from. My wife and I looked around for ideas to send to my daughter and found several. My daughter found that dress she wanted at another shop but this was going to be our next stop. This is a horrible place and I had the most disappointing experience shopping for my wedding dress. I wish I had read the reviews before going there... the place is dirty, and the manager Roya Mahootchi, is the most unpleasant and rude person. I was beyond surprised to learn that she was the manager! The dresses were dirty and were dragged around the store and thrown around the couches. Omg I love this gem of a bridial boutique! They have the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen. The boutique is quaint, beautiful, well stocked and fabulous. I could have stayed there all day! I had the pleasure of working with Christina and who is an absolute doll! She was so kind and patient with me and helpful. She first asked me some questions to get to know what I was looking for instead of just pulling random dresses. We pulled dresses together. She was respectful and never tried to push anything on me and stayed within my price range. She gave honest opinions and was also kind enough to take pictures for me as I went alone. If I could rate this place with 0 stars I would. I have dreamt of coming to this boutique for years. As a bride to be walking down Park Ave this place looks like a dream. I only have one good thing to say, so I will start with that. I'm not sure how I did this but I accidentally booked another boutique when I was trying to come here (thank god I messed up), but these ladies said they could squeeze us in for the last hour they were open which I was really grateful for. After peaking through the window and seeing no customers, I walked in about 25 min early just to let them know I was outside and ready when they were. After a long day I always appreciate when my latest appointment shows up early so I can go home early, but by no means was I rushing them to take care of me earlier than they said they would. I was greeted by an insanely irritable woman named Shaina, whom this whole review stems from. I told her about my previous experience dress shopping and she seemed utterly disgusted with where I went. After she asked my budget, which is 4K, she said "Well I don't know what ~they~ do at the place you went to, but we are couture soooo. .." I then revealed to her that I had already purchased a couture gown online from one of the top designers, Galia Lahav, so I really wasn't impressed with her pompous attitude. She continued on with how she has 8 years experience, but she sure as hell wasn't acting like it. She blatantly told me she wouldn't put me in anything I thought I liked, which I understand is good to do for a first timer, but I had already been shopping and knew what material and silhouette I was basically looking for. I told her I wanted to try silk or satin dresses because I liked some dresses in that material and she told that no I never tried those materials and I wouldn't want them anyway. She kept leaving me on the pedistool in dresses I didn't like, she was barely clipping/pinning the dresses in the back for me to get an idea of a silhouette. When I told her I wanted something a little tighter around the bum, GET READY FOR THIS ONE, she said, "We don't sell bodycon dresses here." That's when I about broke my neck from whipping my head around so fast to look at her. Never in mind did I ever think I'd have a bridal consultant speak like that to me on a day where I'm shopping for the dress I WANT. I already felt unwanted in there from the beginning, but that was the last straw. I felt so bad for the two young girls working with her, because she is an absolute terror to be around. So basically, if you too have been dying to go here, don't put yourself through it. I was absolutely floored by her behavior from the jump and should've left immediately. It is by far more worth it to go five minutes down the road to Something New Bridal where they will treat you with respect and make your experience unforgettable in a good way. I'm sad that every time I walk down Park Ave again I will see this store and look at it with distaste. read more

They have Vera Wang and Monique Lhuillier, and you're gonna wanna try them on, admit it! You're going to go in there and try on a Vera Wang gown and you're going to look at yourself in the mirror and you're going to want to spend twice, three, four, five times the money you had expected to spend. You're going to find yourself standing in front of the mirror on that little platform and the saleswomen and your mother and your best friend and someone walking past outside--all those people are going to be standing there looking up at you with their hands clasped in front of them and that wide-eyed look on their faces, and you're not going to be able to resist it. You're not going to be able to resist the feeling that comes when people look at you that way, and then you are going to start to think of the first time he sees you like this...in the dress... It is a small, crowded little store. The saleswomen are very helpful. Every dress has been tried on many, many times so the samples are a bit worn and yellow. They have a good selection of accessories that they can add to your gown to bring the price up. It's a good experience, putting on that Vera Wang. That woman knows how to design a wedding dress, it can't be denied. If you can tear yourself away from that dress of hers you just fell in love with, maybe you will end up buying your dress somewhere else. But, probably--you'll find yourself back at the Collection. read more

So the ladies who work here are kind of like a second mother to everyone who walks through the door. They always seem to know what's best, without being too pushy about it, and have a concerned yet calm attitude towards your needs. I came here for my friend's final dress fitting and also ordered my bridesmaid dress through them. The store itself has that special mom and pop place feel to it, however it is filled with designer gowns(which also tend to be pricey). Maybe not the best place for a bride-to-be on a budget, but the right place to shop if you want to feel like a special, beautiful bride-to-be. There was even a cute little girl in here oohing and aahing at all the bride-to-bes trying on gowns. Gazing at all the ladies like they were fairy princesses, she even requested photos with a few of the ladies in gowns-which honestly was so cute, rather than annoying! The bridesmaid dress I ordered through them turned out to be slightly too big, but from what I've heard about bridesmaid dresses this seems to be the norm. I normally am closer to a size 6, however the ladies here insisted I should order a size 8. The ladies here rationalized that it was better to be safe than sorry when it came to ordering my dress(better to have a loose fitting dress you can take in, rather than an inappropriately tight dress!) The dresses here are definitely a bit on the pricey side. But if you're looking for stellar, designer gown here's the place for you. I wouldn't consider myself a Bridezilla and I'm not all about designer names, but I found this bridal shop to have the best selection of dresses in greater Orlando. My problem was that I didn't want one of those poofy princess gowns and that's what pretty much every store sells. Except for The Collection. They have the poofy, obnoxious gowns but they also stock other gorgeous dresses. Unfortunately I had to fall in love with one of their Vera Wang's. It was pricey but totally worth it since the dress was so unique and totally me. The service at The Collection was also the best I experienced while shopping for gowns. The clerks are very attentive and yes they do come into the dressing room with you while you undress and stuff. There's a lot going on in this little corner shop on Park Ave. Sitting here thinking about how to describe it to someone, I would almost say it's like if David's Bridal tried to open a boutique shop featuring the big name designers. My younger sister is one of those 'unfortunate' people that looks good in everything, so sometimes it can be really hard for her to get what she feels is an honest opinion. But these girls were great. If you're looking for that 'Wow' moment or statement gown, The Collection will probably have exactly what you're looking for. I had family visiting from out of town so we had one day where I really could get my moms opinion and have everyone together. I didn't want to be overwhelmed with too much but still wanted to enjoy our time together so we made two appointments that day. The first place we went was an amazing experience just down the street from here. However when we arrived here it was not even close to the same experience. When you walk in it is dirty and there is no one to greet you or say hi. We were 15 min early and pretty much ignored until we approached someone and told them we had an appointment. But once helped I was optimistic it would get better. I was sadly wrong. First they do not take care of their gowns. I would never recommend purchasing a sample gown from them. They literally dragged them across the floor, hung, draped and dropped them everywhere. They were very dirty wrinkled, and torn. It is hard to judge something in such poor condition. The veils and belts were the same way. At one point they threw belts towards my family where they were sitting on a couch watching. I am a pretty straightforward person. I told her I didn't like mermaid fit and was looking for something in an A-line or fitted A-line but was open to trying anything they recommended with the exception of mermaid. For my body type it just isn't flattering. I'm not a large person (size 4 or 6 is typical) but just not my style. But instead of recommending things to me she just walked me to a bunch of dresses and asked if there was anything I like. It can be overwhelming and I would expect them to know their inventory to some degree, which they seemingly did not. I asked for her recommendation based on some of the things I had explained to her but she just kept asking what I wanted and pick up a random dress on a hanger asking do I like this. Unfortunately just like in any store you can only guess what works until you try it on. She finally recommended a few dresses "to start" she said and after I didn't like them and gave her feedback on each one hoping to help narrow it down she very rudely told me she had nothing else for me. The entire experience was maybe 20 min total from the time we walked in until the time we walked out. It appeared that she found out I only wanted to spend 3000.00 at maximum and from that moment on she didn't care. As a side note their gowns start at 2000.00 which is important to know for anyone who is trying to be budget friendly and they do not share this on the phone. And although I was willing to spend more for the right dress it was not my desire. I wouldn't waste your time. There are amazing places that will give you full say yes to the dress experiences make you feel beautiful and important regardless of budget. The ladies were very friendly but I just didn't like the fact they didn't let the bride to be try on a dress bc it was out of her price range. Shayna helped me & she was so sweet and made sure everything was ready in a SHORT period of time. She read my mind as to what I liked and didn't like.....and was so fun to work with! These dresses don't even compare to David's. They are quality made and they had tons of styles to choose from. A few of my bridesmaids even tried on dresses after I'd found the one and were offered 10% off since I'd gotten my dress there. Oh, and we got a great price on my veil which matched my dress perfect. Nadi was my consultant that day and she really understood my desire to have a curve hugging dress that didn't make me feel like a stuffed sausage ;) She put me in a gorgeous Mikaella gown that 1. Was the perfect combination of soft lace and glamorous ruffles 2. Hugged my curves in the right places while it diminished the not so great areas and 3. Was perfectly within my budget! I cannot express enough what an AMAZING experience I had here. This was my second experience dress shopping (I had gone to two other local stores previously) and I was extremely disappointed with the selection at the other places. However when I came here I was helped by Shainna who was incredible!! She pulled so many beautiful dresses under my budget and listened to everything I told her about my style. Although I did have a decent sized budget, no one was pushy about going over it. I tried on about 6 dresses and loved ALL of them. It came down to two dresses and I ultimately chose a Ysa Makino dress. There were a few things I wanted changed on the dress and they told me they would cover the cost that designer would charge them (which was $1,000s in alterations), which I felt was very generous. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my experience there and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for their dream dress!!! read more

When I first came to the collection bridal I was super excited to find my dress. Christina helped me find the perfect dress. However, after I purchased and she made the sale, she was no longer at any of my appointments or able to take any of my calls. I showed up with my bridesmaids to show them my dress & Christina told me I had no more of a balance to pay that everything was paid off completely. So when I showed up for my last dress fitting, the manager told me that I had a balance of almost $300 to pay. I tried to explain to her that I was told I didn't have anything else to pay, but she wouldn't listen and made me pay anyways without consulting with Christine who told me I had everything paid off. Needless to say I was not happy and I would not recommend this bridal shop to anyone. They only care about the sale they do not care about the follow up. read more

What an amazing experience! My daughter recently moved to the area from Miami so we began the search for her wedding dress in Orlando. I called The Collection and from the moment Mimi answered the phone and welcomed us to go right over, I knew this would be the place. We found this shop to be beautiful and spacious, filled with a great selection of dresses. Everyone that worked there was so nice. Frieda was our consultant and she was a sweetheart. They happily made an appt first thing the next morning (a very busy Saturday) so Dad could see "the one". They broke out the champagne so we could celebrate the purchase - perfectly classy for such a classy bridal salon. I knew it would be a special day when she found her dress, but I never dreamed buying our daughter's wedding dress would be such a perfect occasion. She listened to what I was interested in. Although I didn't end up purchasing my dress here I would recommend it as a place to dress shop. This place is so amazing! They have a large wonderful selection of dresses! The staff was so welcoming and brought champagne to my bridal party. They even let my maid of honors go and pick dresses for me! But in the end I fell in love with my DREAM dress I tried on at another shop not only was The Collection able to order it BUT they also gave it to me for $2k less than the other store! This store is absolutely beautiful, never would I have imagined getting my dress here since I knew that they sell very high end dresses, but I found my dress here on the first try and within my budget! You have to be very honest with the consultants about your sizes, any concerns you have about your budget and body image, and what you'd like to stay close or far from with styles and I also said I did not want to try on too many dresses and feel discouraged. Shainna was my consultant and I adore her! She was very honest with me, beyond helpful, provided me an array of dresses, and really help me stay within my budget. She offered a ton of great advice before my dress fitting and it helped me feel at ease and she actually even took me out of what I thought I wanted originally and helped me open my mind up to different designs and styles. I definitely left with a dress I didn't think I would like, yet alone the style but bought my dress the same day! I truly had a wonderful experience and would recommend to any bride to be to just come and give this place a try, it doesn't hurt and hey when you least expect it, you just may find your dress here! read more

I'm taken back by the experience we just had here. I would highly suggest any bride to avoid coming here. We made a reservation for 1:00pm and arrived at 12:58. Once we walked in and checked in, we were offered champagne and water and then pushed into a corner to wait. We waited almost 25 minutes. During that time, another bride walked in and was helped right away. When we asked how much longer, due to the bride who walked in after us being helped right away, the woman working there said "well..... how much is your budget because our dresses are $2000 and up". I was taken back as though she looked at us with disgust as if we couldn't afford to be in that shop. (We are all dressed in jeans and nice blouses and our hair and makeup done) My mom politely said that we have an open budget, but we would look elsewhere. To be discriminated on based on our appearance is the worst feeling. And to watch a someone looking at my mother as if she was low class was the hardest thing I've seen. This is supposed to be a good experience and exciting and the feeling of discrimination has left me in disbelief. I would never recommend for a bride to come here based on the feeling I'm currently feel after walking out of this shop. They do not deserve our business and they missed out on the possibility of a large sale. read more
