The size totes my clothes filled.
    Jennifer S.

Absolutely horrid experience. When I first learned of these places I was so excited that Moms could save SOME money by selling their gently used clothes. So I took a laundry basket FULL of NB-6 months, with at least 10 outfits that were brand new with tags and many that had maybe been worn once. The owner went through my cloths and gave a good amount back (I found out later in the day she split a lot of my sets up!! Who does that?! I can't resell a bunch of damn pants!!) they offered me $37 and change . As I prepared to chock it up to a learning experience while the owner kept apologizing for her completely lowball offer on my daughters clothes, I purchased about 6 outfits from there...ready for it....for $47!!!! So basically you I gave you a tote of clothes, bought 6 outfits and still had to spend $10!!! I will NEVER sell my clothes to this lady's business ever again. I am right now trying Rock-A-Bye Baby for my leftovers, which is how I learned you separated a bunch of my sets...probably to pay me less since they were onsies. Way to go lady, your store isn't helpful whatsoever. Right now I'm just resisting the urge to go pay you $37 and get my clothes back! Oh! I forgot to add this place is so snooty they won't even take Gerber clothes...I had several sets in great condition and that was the response I got, from the owner. Well, excuse the bleep outta you...didn't realize CONSIGNMENT could be so damn picky

One aisle of about 10- this place is loaded.

And when she was done she just kind of walked off . Overall experience was not terrible but it wasn't the best customer service interaction and I feel like as a business that serves with intent to make people feel welcome and appreciate it to find nostalgic pieces or even fashion in general should feel equally welcome and it just felt divided there . And I actually only stopped by because I was near the area and I was recommended by this by vintage store nearby. The only good thing that I can say is that the clothes options were really good and the price throughout the store was good and the way there organized the store was nice where you had a variety to pick from and I was able to find a lounge beach top with a black top and cargo pants skirt a perfect outfit for the beach or lunch date and more. Again, I wouldn't recommend going to this establishment other than buying clothes, but I hope in the future that they work on their customer service skills and treats people equally

I spent most of my time looking through the albums, which included all genres. I've found that vintage stores have the best variety of records. The prices ranged from less than $20 to some that were almost $90. After searching for a while, I found a Gap Band album from 1983, which I couldn't wait to get home and listen to. I strolled through each aisle because I was very intrigued with all of the unique items. There was an area with pickled vegetables and canned goods so I grabbed some pickled okra and corn salsa as well. Right when I thought there wasn't more to see, I noticed a back area that included beautiful furniture, tables, paintings and other home accessories. I even saw a church pew lol! Overall, this place is a vintage paradise. You can easily spend hours in this store. The staff were very pleasant and I even signed up for their Loyalty Program, where you can earn points for every dollar you spend! I will definitely be returning soon!

I am writing this a warning to those considering whether to get a booth at this business. I was…read moreamong the first to sign up for a booth. When I first signed up as a vendor we were told that if there were any problems management would address us personally and give us time to correct the issue. As time went by what started out as a very laid back attitude has turned into a ridged list of do's and don'ts and threats of lease cancellations for any and all transgressions. They have started to evaluate performance of booth renters: "Sales are certainly an important factor, but they are only one part of a much larger picture. We also evaluate: * Booth presentation and cleanliness * Inventory quality and variety * Consistency of restocking * Participation in store events and promotions * Compliance with store policies and procedures * Communication and responsiveness * Professionalism and attitugde toward staff, management, customers, and fellow vendors * Social media participation and support of store marketing efforts" "Yes--VA Vintage reserves the right to terminate a vendor lease at any time, in accordance with the terms of the agreement. Reasons for termination may include (but are not limited to): * Failure to meet sales performance expectations * Booth not meeting store standards or aesthetic requirements * Policy violations or repeated non-compliance * Non-payment of rent or fees * Inappropriate or disruptive behavior * Safety concerns or violations * In most cases, a 30-day notice will be provided * Immediate termination may occur in cases involving serious violations or safety concerns" Items in quotations are from the vendor Facebook page. They threaten lease termination for a variety of reasons in various posts throughout the previous 6 months or so. So basically you are paying them a good chunk of money and then they treat you like an employee rather than a business owner. All of this would be all well and good if they worked with you when problems arrised as they originally promised but a few months ago someone posted that they were given notice out of the blue without any warning. The auxiliary Facebook page independent from VA Vintage where this was posted mysteriously disappeared. I complained about VA Vintage on a completely separate Facebook page not really realizing it was a public comment and very quickly had my lease cancelled. This was one of several reasons given and NO I was never approached about the other reasons before having my lease cancelled. Apparently they don't believe in the first amendment and REALLY can't stand criticism themselves. So they emailed me on the 10th of June after closing saying they were giving me 30 days notice. The next sentence said my last day would be June 30. What is wrong with this picture? Before getting this notification I had spoken to another vendor who was also nervous because their sales numbers weren't great and they were also aware of the other vendor who was terminated without any previous notification of problems. Since my notification I have spoken to a couple more who also referenced the frequent threats of termination as making them nervous. In my opinion this is no way to run a business treating your customers (paying vendors are customers), like employees. Management acts like this is a big fun community but behind the scenes it is anything but. It also seems like there has been a purge of employees: "Over the coming days, you'll begin seeing some new staff and management faces around VA Vintage. Many of you will also notice that a few members of our management team are no longer with VA Vintage. As with any growing business, people come and go, and leadership evolves over time."" In another post on the vendors Facebook page after saying he is OK with his vendors selling in other malls Danny adds this veiled threat: "If most of your time and energy goes into promoting another store while putting little to no time and energy into promoting VA Vintage, it can send the wrong message. We invest a tremendous amount into marketing, events, and bringing customers through our doors, and I want to continue investing in the vendors who invest back into us." I can't help but wonder if they are trying to rotate vendors in and out the same as vendors switch out inventory. Lest I forget, I have also seen a post where management is not allowing any more jewelry or clothing vendors. So if you sell these things you may not be allowed to sell there.

This location is generally pretty clean/organized. There are multiple fitting rooms to try stuff on and the staff is friendly. There are shopping carts available but the aisles are fairly small so I tend to not grab one unless I'm finding a lot of treasures! When I first visited this location I wasn't very impressed with their inventory but the more I go the more it is becoming one of my favorite locations in the area. Goodwill has recently changed their tagging/pricing system so items that are for sale are individually priced and tagged with a barcode label. I've noticed that this makes it easier to find items that are the "Color of the Week" and 50% off. On Mondays they also make the previous weeks' sale items $1 as a last ditch effort to get them sold. The new barcodes also make it easier for the cashiers to ring up your items. The only con I've experienced with it so far was a few items being mistagged as the wrong categories. Overall I would recommend this location to others who enjoy the hunt of the thrift. Don't judge a book by its covers, you can find some good stuff in here!
