I had gone to the once upon a child today in Appleton!! left be very pi**ed off!! I seen a doc a tot pillow for baby in a bag and it had a 40 dollar price tag on it, v no other price tag anywhere to be found. I was like yes I want one of these for baby who's due in August!! got up to the cash register and my total came to 200 dollars with a few dresses for my 5 year old and crib sheets. Pregnant me was like hmm seems off but maybe with the 40 dollar pillow and the 7 dresses and 5 crib sheets I miscounted. i paid with two credit cards one hundred a on one and 100 on the other.. As I was walking out I was like wait here i it is and noticed the doc a tot was 125 on the receipt. so I went back up and was like hey you guys accidentally charged me full price when there is a sale ticket on this for 40. the shoo snotty woman says nope that's the actual price.. I said no this tag says 40 dollars on it. she wipe ripped the packaging tape sticker off the price tag that was under this which I never seen. yea then this ride pa lady tells me it's my dail fault because I didn't look under the tag that was taped over the actual sticker. I said you're kidding me right? I said so I'm supposed to flip every tag to make sure this isn't the false tag. she said yup because this goes to a bo boppy pillow and it must have fell on this bag. I said again you're kidding right?? I said so you're trying to tell me this tag magically fell off some random pillow and self stuck Itself over the original price tag. I said and you had to really pull to get it off the plastic bag! she started stuttering and said well you didn't look under the tag so you need to watch what you're buying. I said no this is not on me!! I wouldn't had paid 125 for a used pillow.. I said especially when it had a price tag for 40. so then her next move... well because you split the payment you can't get a refund. we can not help you, you need to pay attention more when making purchases here... she said this is not my problem and we refuse to give you a refund... yet they had a 40 dollar tag covering the actual price! So mad!!!! worst customer service, and the damn manager just stood there and refused to assist!!!! didn't mention that this is not the price and the actual price is here.. they could have said something asking if I still wanted it.. anything!! We found a certain item which is a stroller cover for warmth. It was marked with a certain price. I brought it to the front and they decided that they did not want to sell it to me at that price. It was a $20 item it was marked at $6.50 they said. So they changed the price saying it was a mistake. It was the wrong kind of cover and it shouldn't be marked that way it used to be that businesses that were reputable would honor the price if they made a mistake I guess that's no longer true, especially with once upon a child And when you speak to the manager, the manager has such an easy out by saying I have no control. I can't do this. I can't give you a discount. I can't help you so what good as a manager I don't recommend the business because they don't know how to run a store so if you find a good deal better pray that they don't change their mind about the price. good luck wasting your time. read more

I've found some gems there, but most name brands are priced extremely high, selling is nearly never worth it, and the staff is AWFUL! I've never felt less welcome there and I'm there frequently hoping to find name brand stuff for good prices. The staff are just about rolling their eyes about having people in the store, talking inappropriately, and just all-around not fun to be around and not welcoming, if that changes I'd be happy to direct more people there. read more

I always visit this location when I travel to Wisconsin first for their Packers apparel selection but also the overall organization and variety of really good name brands always keep me coming back. I tried the Green Bay location but they had no Packers selection and it was a mess. I also visit ones near me I. saw lower MI but none seem to have the quality of brands and the organization that this location does. I'll come back every time I visit Green Bay. I can buy 3-6 nice pieces of Packers apparel for the same price I'm going to pay for one piece at the Pro Shop. It's always worth it to me for a stop. read more

Absolute garbage customer service. Brought in clothes to sell in reusable shopping bags and was told that they only allow clothes to be brought in boxes, totes, or laundry baskets. Still horrible service, many dirty clothes or clothes with holes or broken zippers, and the shoe bins are an absolute disaster. They need to just resort them all. Be careful of the winter stuff out in the rancid tent...found boots with mildew! Like they packed them up when they were wet. I'll still go there once in awhile but always look over and check each item very, very carefully. I refuse to go into that tent that reeks like hot stinky hockey gear lol. read more

Larger selection than Green Bay. I love that this place has wider isles to use and I also like that everything is put by size and neatly organized. From toys to shoes to clothes everything has a spot. It is a great place to take children's items and get either a cash back or a in store credit so that you can buy other clothes. It seems as if clothes go up to size 8 or 10 not much higher than that. Sizes begin at newborn. It is great because children are always growing and clothes are hard to keep up with sometimes. read more

Definitely worth checking out every now and then, as well as when you need it. High quality products--many like new, for decent prices. If you are a parent, you know how it is when you need something immediately, and it's nice not to have to pay the new price for it. The employees here are wonderful people doing a fantastic job with the store. I do think it would be a smart move for this Once Upon a Child to ask about 20% less on their prices so that people feel like they're getting a little more of a deal--that's the little push that would get people to buy more. You would be a lot more profitable due to a great increase in sales. It is apparent that you have an overwhelming amount of inventory, and this is not a problem of organization but rather one of moving it at a faster rate. The simple solution is to ask a little less and consequently sell a lot more. You have the inventory to do it. My advice for this business in particular is to accept a smaller profit margin per product which will cause you to sell a lot more products overall, then your total profit will end up being far greater than what it is now. Go for higher volume. read more

Website states buying everyday yet when I arrived they weren't buying. Staff was unfriendly and didn't even say something nice after I carried in a heavy bin. Such poor customer service here. Returned a few shirts, with tags on, 5 days after purchase, with what I thought was correct receipt (I didn't look at it because I knew what I purchased.) Both ladies at counter were very rude. Told me I had wrong receipt- it was the credit card receipt. The itemized receipt was not in bag. We live an hour away, so asked that they give me benefit of doubt and just give me store credit. She told me I may have stolen the clothing so couldn't help me, even though receipt showed I spent $50. Why would I spend $50 on some clothes and steal the ones in the bag? We left all the items we were going to purchase (which was way more than return amount) and left. Really disappointed as I wanted this store to work for us, but on principal alone will not return. The store is fun to shop at and has a nice large parking area so it is easy to bring clothing, etc in. However, even though I wash and iron everything at least half is returned regardless of the fact that it could be hardly worn clothing. The store it quite organized, however quite crowded. There is one associate that is very impressive. She always smiles, and is helpful if asked anything. I had recently broke my arm and she was kind enough help bring items back to the car for me. Justina is a valuable employee because she makes me want to come and shop with her pleasant personality and helpfulness. read more

Brought in a bag of clothes and the young girl working at the counter said she couldn't take in anything that was in bags. I peeked behind her to see that there were stuff that were in bags. I didn't want to cause a scene so I didn't say anything about it. And honestly, if I'm already at the store with my items and they turn me away simply for the fact that they are in a bag vs box/basket, it just shows that they DO NOT value their customers. I usually shop there and love the selections. In fact I was going to browse and shop for my kids meanwhile. But now I'll spend my money elsewhere even if that means I'm paying more as long as the service is good/better. Store is packed. Not easy to shop as many sizes mixed together. Bought about 25-30% of my used clothes. Did not give me any store discount for selling because i requested some cash return. Apparently all or nothing credit or cash with only 10% discount for credit. They bought my really worn jeans. Prices did not seem to consider wear of clothes. read more

Wow....horribly rude staff! I called ahead to let them know I was coming and when I arrived to my surprise the store is very over packed and very inconvenient to drop items off. The staff was very rude and unpleasant. They pay very little for name brand clothes with a huge mark up for very worn out clothing. I will fare much better by having a rummage sale. I had the worst customer service experience here yesterday! I had called in advance to ask if the store was accepting baby gyms and bouncers. The girl told me they would look at them, so I drove 20 minutes with my 1-year old to the store. I was also intending to get a good start on my son's fall wardrobe. When I came in, balancing my son and an overflowing laundry basket, the girl at the empty counter said "The end of the line is right there," and pointed to a spot 3 feet away. She then pointed to the mat for the gym which was teetering on top of the laundry basket and said "We won't be buying any of those, we already have enough." I told her I had just called and whoever I spoke to said they would look at it. I asked to speak to that individual, and another girl came around the corner and said "You said it was a gym! That's a play mat." I said it is a baby gym, a Baby Einstein that I have all the pieces for. (What else is a baby gym???) She rolled her eyes and said "We'll look at it," in a way that implied there was no snowballs chance in Hades that they would be buying it. I filled out the form and then the first girl said "It will be a 2 1/2 hour wait." I had my son with me and it was an hour away from his naptime. Obviously I was not going to wait 2 1/2 hours for these rude girls to pass judgment on my items. I have worked it retail management and customer service for quite a while; this level of horrible treatment of customers is unacceptable. I will not revisit this store and I will encourage all the moms I know to either give their items to charity and write it off on their taxes, or support local consignment shops. read more
