On moving day, one of the movers was on time, the other was quite a bit late, but true their word, they didn't charge until both were on the job. Some started charging the moment the truck left their facility. While we had already moved what we could fit into our van, for a two bedroom house, there was still quite a bit of stuff. The movers didn't anticipate the amount and they really should have sent a bigger truck. The move was local - 3.5 miles - one end of Old Monrovia Road to the other. It still took 2 1/2 hours, though some of the time was trying to fit everything into the too small truck. It was hot yet the movers didn't take a break - they worked their butts off. There was absolutely no damage on either end of the move - I've never experienced that, even with the most careful movers. They did a fantastic job. I would hire Moving Hearts again in a heartbeat.

They showed up exactly on time, and were done early. I've never seen movers with that much hustle. They'd unload the truck and carry items into the house then RUN back to the truck for the next load. It was wild. I figured the running thing was to show off and would disappear after the first twenty minutes.... NOPE... They kept up that sprint all day long. One of the gentlemen even had a weighted vest on because the job wasn't hard enough for him! These guys were seriously strong and managed to unload an upright piano in 15 minutes. The movers who packed the piano seemed like bumbling idiots in comparison when it took them nearly an hour and a half to load the upright. Based on that, they estimated ~9 hours with one truck. I confirmed I was ready for their scheduled 9-10 AM arrival window. They did not arrive until approximately 3:30 PM, immediately putting the move behind schedule. After only a couple hours of loading, I was told my belongings would not fit and that I needed a second truck. I had to vacate the home the next morning, so I had no real choice. I was told the additional truck would be a flat ~$225 and that I would not be charged for the time to retrieve it. That was not true. The second truck arrived already partially filled with another customer's belongings. Later, the crew told me my remaining items would not fit because the truck was already half full. The move dragged on until around 2:30 AM and still was not completed. I had to return at 6:00 AM the next morning, after almost no sleep, to move the remaining items myself--including large and fragile pieces like a 75" mirror--which resulted in physical strain. My 73-year-old mother, who was present during the move, was left extremely distressed by the situation and in tears by the end of the night. Despite what I was told, I was charged full hourly rates, travel time, and additional fees, bringing the total close to $3,000. There was also property damage (torn/soiled furniture, bent bed components, scratched wood items), and the crew used my contractor's rented dump trailer for their own trash without permission, taking up about 25% of the space and increasing my costs. A personal dolly was taken during the move and only returned later--after I had already been forced to move the remaining items by hand late the following night. I have uploaded photos documenting the condition of my belongings, the partially filled truck, and the additional issues described above. I also filed a complaint with the BBB, which has gone unanswered. I encourage others to review the BBB website for additional customer experiences. If the company is willing to work toward a fair resolution, they know how to reach me. Otherwise, I would recommend that both residential and business customers look elsewhere.
