Trust me, these reviews were right on - these guys were great. I called for a quote. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the girl I talked to but she was friendly and knowledgeable. She listened to my needs, asked a few questions and gave me an immediate quote. The quote was a little higher than I expected, but three days before I needed the help, I wasn't going to argue. The only complaint I do have with the quote was the $85 travel fee. It was under 5 miles. Right now Google maps has the travel time at 11 minutes. Even being generous and giving them 20 minutes each way, we're talking over $2 a minute. Of course they could be charging by mileage which makes the charge over $8 a mile. I should have offered to go pick the guys up - heck, we could even have stopped for breakfast and I'd be ahead $50. We had already unloaded all of the small and loose items so the truck was only about half full. Although there wasn't any furniture, there was a small safe and a number of very heavy crates still onboard. The two guys barely broke a sweat. They unloaded quickly and didn't make a mess. We had a significant amount of rain the previous day and water was starting to get tracked in the house. The guys actually stopped to cover the floor before they proceeded to unload. There is a two hour minimum and our guys were done in about an hour and 15 minutes. (It took us over three hours to load.) They asked several times if there was anything else they could do. (I thought of sending them grocery shopping but I knew my husband would have just rolled his eyes at me!). Hopefully we don't have to move anytime soon but if we do we will definitely use these motivated Motivated Movers again!

Then they gave me a quote. I scheduled a date and time for the move. The guys showed up with a big truck on the day of the move. The whole process was smooth and the movers were genuinely willing to help. Their moving costs were pretty reasonable. I am glad that I found reliable help with my moving needs. I would highly recommend them.

(It's killing me, but I'm keeping my snarkiness to myself though I will offer that he's 60). Since he has never done anything for himself, I researched and hired the movers for him. The prices for most of the movers that I contacted were pretty similar. What set Moving Hearts apart was that they are veteran owned. On moving day, one of the movers was on time, the other was quite a bit late, but true their word, they didn't charge until both were on the job. Some started charging the moment the truck left their facility. While we had already moved what we could fit into our van, for a two bedroom house, there was still quite a bit of stuff. The movers didn't anticipate the amount and they really should have sent a bigger truck. The move was local - 3.5 miles - one end of Old Monrovia Road to the other. It still took 2 1/2 hours, though some of the time was trying to fit everything into the too small truck. It was hot yet the movers didn't take a break - they worked their butts off. There was absolutely no damage on either end of the move - I've never experienced that, even with the most careful movers. They did a fantastic job. I would hire Moving Hearts again in a heartbeat.

Why would I hire professionals to move my furniture that would refuse to do so? After arriving at our destination, they refused to unload the truck! Whose house isn't messy when moving? Bottom line is they did not fulfill the contract, refused to move many items at all, which still, months later, have still not been moved!

They showed up exactly on time, and were done early. I've never seen movers with that much hustle. They'd unload the truck and carry items into the house then RUN back to the truck for the next load. It was wild. I figured the running thing was to show off and would disappear after the first twenty minutes.... NOPE... They kept up that sprint all day long. One of the gentlemen even had a weighted vest on because the job wasn't hard enough for him! These guys were seriously strong and managed to unload an upright piano in 15 minutes. The movers who packed the piano seemed like bumbling idiots in comparison when it took them nearly an hour and a half to load the upright. Thanks to Changing Spaces I've honestly never had a better experience with movers. We're currently in a rental house and plan to buy a place of our own by the end of the year.
