This is a nice little hood spot with a variety of music playing. Grown folks not a lot of youngsters here. The drinks are alright. I think they have some type of finger foods here. I was really looking forward to a night out at On the Rocks but unfortunately, the owner attitude and behavior ruined the experience for me and my friend. When we tried to clarify the gnat problem and the leaking sealing that's was leaking on bar and splashing on me the owner responded with dismissiveness and outright rudeness!!!! It was clear that our business was not valued or respected. The atmosphere TRASH drinks were great, but the poor service and treatment by the owner and her minions left a sour taste in our mouths. Until the owner and staff works on their customer service skills, I would not recommend this bar to anyone. read more

The food is good! They have a great bacon cheeseburger, delicious meatloaf, and lots of great appetizers. My friends say the drinks are strong, tasty, and very reasonably priced. Their crawfish is delicious! Their pretzel bites are crusty outside and soft on the inside and come with mustard and you can request cheese. The mini corn dogs are also good. The waitresses/bartenders are friendly and responsive. You can also order out for lunch if you work/live nearby. They open between 11:30 and 12:30. The ladies restroom is big! The door locks are a little wonky, and just flush the toilet (they are not voice activated). There is a smoking side and a non-smoking side. They have a DJ that plays after midnight on weekends. There's also a pool table on the non smoking side, and on the smoking side there's a few different arcade games. read more

I order a Long Island ice tea, my go to drink, and it tasted nothing like a normal Iced Tea that I would get. However, the bartender was very kind and was willing to pour me a new drink. The music wasn't too bad either and they have nice priced hookahs. read more

We had the best time baby at this hole in the wall LOL!!! Ok its not exactly a hole in the wall but it could pass for one and I love it! We had great food steak with salad and mashed potatoes or chicken breast straight from the outside grill to your plate!! Believe the pictures because the flavor and juiciness was Yumm!!! The service here is great the crowd is a great blend of a out 30+ and it was Awesome the DJ was the best he played a great mix of Pokey, Tucka to Drake like I cant describe it but if you love old school, line dance, hip hop, it was just Great!!! We jammed on OST!!! You can choose from water, wine, beer, mixed and other liquors it is not a large place but your selections are plenty and the vibe is right!!! Happy hour pricing until 9pm was just the best we didnt even know until we were actually preparing to wind down and head home because we were jammin' and drinking on a Thursday like we were off the next day LOL and just chatting and bar tender said ya'll ok its happy hour until 9pm..so thanks to the nice gentlemen who purchased shots which he said he crafted called Green Tea, it was great so it was our final happy hour drink and as you can see from my low eyes was the end!! I'm not a bar type of guy by any means but this is a really cool lil spot to get a drink at and unwind after work. Don't let the size of this bar fool you, it can draw in a pretty good sized crowd. A mix of mid 20's and up, everyone is here to enjoy the ball game and a cold beer followed by a buffet similar to what Mama made. I've had everything from meat loaf to fried pork chops to baked chicken. I mean, everyone knows drinking on an empty stomach is going to lead to trouble so you might as well get you a couple of drinks and have a meal while catching the Rockets or Texans on 2 screens. The bar is fully stocked and the service is quick. Happy Hour beers are about $4 a bottle. I'm not sure if they have beer on tap however. If beer isn't your thing then enjoy the huge selection of wine and liquors. I've seen everyone from doctors to barbers in this bar. A nice crowd that doesn't get rowdy. There's decent parking available and if you want to get cleaned up before going into the bar, you can stop by the barber shop next door called Swaggaback Barbershop. The owner is Jessica and she's all about making sure you feel welcomed and enjoy your time. I never see her standing still. Lol! Always walking around, greeting people and making drinks. Tonight may have been a bad night to come because of the birthday party happening but we ended up leaving early because of the poor service. I was told by a customer that one of the bartenders didnt show so that's why the owner was running around in an attempt to help. However, that doesn't excuse her attitude and distaste towards us. We waited patiently for her to help us because the other server only stayed on the other end. She blatantly ignored us until finally acknowledging our attempt to get her attention. The. When I proceeded to ask questions about their happy hour specials, she shrugged it off and asked what do I want. It was our first time here and I recommended this to my sister and brother because it looked interesting. We came to celebrate my sister's entry into the army and were dismissed the entire time. The place was so loud which may be why she didnt get the right name for the order, but after about 30 minutes of terrible service, my sister was through and wanted to go across the street to Wing Quarter instead. It took 15 minutes to try and cancel our order with the owner because she kept looking over us to help other people. We ended up going to the other end and the bartender down there was super nice and very helpful. Maybe it was a bad night, or maybe she isnt meant to be in a service industry. I'm not sure but I'll give it one more try later on...we shall see read more

I stop by this bar from time to time and always have a good experience. My worst experience was on my birthday a few months ago but that's only cause people kept giving me shots and I felt terrible the next morning lol. I finally made it for Thursday steak night. The steak was PERFECTLY seasoned. They serve everything in go boxes with plastic cutlery so I fully expected to be unable to cut it. I apologize for that. Even with a plastic knife it cut like butter. Plus the happy hour goes until 9 so of course that's a win. It's nice to be able to go to a spot in my neighborhood where everyone from the bartenders to the customers are nice and the music is always on point. Do yourself a favor and stop in. read more

I have NEVER been treated so poorly. Visited this establishment for a friends birthday party in a group of approx 20 people. We sat in largest section that did not display any reserved signs. After about 2 1/2 hours we purchased food from a truck outside that was prepared and brought in. While the party was fixing food, a woman walked up with an attitude, did not introduce herself, and did not make any inquires just "Y'all need to move that stuff". I said "not a problem, I'll move it." She responded "I'm the owner, don't tell me what you gone move. I have a party reserved here". A response that didn't make any sense but I brush it off and attempt to move the stuff as she requested but at this point she is yelling. I tell her that the way she was speaking to me was rude and unnecessary and she put me out. I left without incident but the way that I was treated was unacceptable!! I will NEVER return and it is likely that my friends will not either. I am disheartened that this is another black owned business that I can not support because they clearly don't value themselves or their customers. SMH read more

This place is not very friendly to new people. The waitresses ignored us, when we wanted to order drinks. After waiting a long time to be severed the bartender said she couldn't serve our table because my sister ( who has a speech impediment) was slurring her words. I informed her of my sisters condition and she still refused to serve us. Mind you we had only been there less than 20 min. So I asked for a manager. He comes out (drunk) being rude and yelling at us, saying we couldn't tell him how to run his business. I tried to explained the situation and he jst kept repeating himself. Finally after seeing that none of us were intoxicated. he told the waitress to serve us. When we ordered I noticed she watered down our drinks. We decided not to order anymore. We sat smoking our hooka and listening to music. Next thing we know a biker gang enters the bar(All men) . They blocked off the whole bar near our table and kept looking our way. I guess they were there to intimidate us so we would leave. We stayed. But after a few minutes my sister felt uncomfortable so we left. This place needs better ways of determining weather someone is drunk or not. Very unprofessional and unwelcoming to new comers.
