Being a woman, there's a rep that people in the auto maintenance field will try to take advantage of you. I shopped around and I did get the run around in pricing. My coworker has been going to Lee-Rodgers for years, so I decided to ask her what her thoughts were on my situation and she highly recommended them. I called the store and informed Mark (one of the owners) what I needed. He asked me to send photos of the damage and my tires to his email. He shopped around to find me a used wheel and got me a great deal on tires. You also get a free rotation on your set at Lee-Rodgers for the lifetime of the tires. I dropped off my car in the morning and they called around 3:30 to say it was ready. When I got to the store I didn't see my car- they went ahead and changed out another new tire because one of them deflated and they wanted to make sure I didn't have a bad tire. A+ service. They went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of while also not spending an arm and a leg. Highly recommended and they've gained a new client in me!

I brought my 2012 Ford Transit Connect to Lee Rodgers Tire & Battery Company because it was…read moreoverheating. I paid $839.00 for a radiator replacement and picked up my vehicle believing the issue had been resolved. Unfortunately, the vehicle continued overheating shortly after the repair and later became inoperable, requiring it to be returned to the shop. My vehicle remained there for an extended period. During that time, I called regularly for updates and was repeatedly told that no one had looked at it. As a small business owner who depends on my work van, being without my vehicle caused transportation expenses, lost work opportunities, and financial hardship. I was also concerned that my repair invoice stated my vehicle had "numerous oil leaks," but another inspection I obtained around the same time did not document any oil leaks. When I asked for supporting documentation, I did not receive photographs or diagnostic evidence explaining that notation. After my vehicle was returned, I continued investigating the overheating issue and discovered additional concerns with the cooling system. I attempted to resolve the matter directly with the company and spoke with a representative who expressed interest in resolving it, but we were ultimately unable to reach an agreement. Every repair experience is different, but based on my experience, I was disappointed with the repair outcome, the length of time my vehicle remained at the shop, and the lack of communication. I hope the company reviews its repair and customer service practices so future customers have a better experience.

They gave me clear, no-nonsense recommendations in report form, complete with estimates. Then they performed the work on time with no gotchas at the end. Honest, conscientious, and no sketchiness- which, in that business, makes them the shining exception. A week later, as part of my road trip prep, I had my windshield replaced. The technician, upon opening the hood, said, "Wow. You take really good care of your car. I've never seen an engine this clean on a car this old." My car runs like a top now. Did the road trip without a hitch. Totally worth it.

And since our lives are sheer chaos, the thought of not having to go and wait or even drive to a tire place REALLY appealed to me. So when I heard Carl would pick up tires, come to my house and the most I had to do was hand over my credit card... sign me up!! I called him and he said he had a little later appointment, but he could make it work. We had a miscommunication about whether I had the tires or not and he came. Many of us know, when the weather changes, sometimes, our tires show they need to be inflated. As the owner, you don't know if you have an issue, or the weather was the cause. The car that this usually happens too is my wife's vehicle. It is my responsibility to get it looked at. I go to the Goodyear Auto Service downtown Birmingham. The manager has a tech check my tires and tell me which tire needed the most air. 5 minutes later, I am out. No cost. So why write a review? Because I will need new tires soon. Why would I ever consider any other tire place then Goodyear. They always treat me with respect even when they don't make a cent. Tell me one other place that happens to any of us consistently. I have checked the prices on new tires, and they are competitive as well. Bravo and think you for making sure my wife drive safely.

Calling ahead for sizing and availability would be a good idea; however, after walking through their warehouse to pick out my preferred set, I'd say that they are well-stocked. You might even find a match for your current set if you're only replacing two and you have a common size wheel. The walkthrough revealed that they keep things more organized and tidy than most mom-and-pop shops. Only negatives here are that they only offer a 7 days warranty (competitors in this space typically offer 30) and that you don't know the history of the tire (but that's the deal when you're buying wholesale or pull-off tires). Overall, quick service (in and out in less than 20 minutes), and a great value: was able to get great-looking, low-mileage, name-brand tires (Toyo 225/55R18 with probably 70% tread remaining) for only $80. Two tires, balanced and installed, for less than the price of a single generic brand tire before tax at retail, and even less than the $100 you'd pay at a competitor.
