He came to my house to give us an estimate and I knew immediately that he was going to help. He was very professional and worked with us every step of the way. His crew is incredible. A big shout out to Todd and Doc for their hard work, knowledge, and professionalism. They all work together so wonderfully. We had a hall wall removed and a cut out done on the adjoining wall. Each day they left the job site spotless and made sure everything from electricity, wall support, and re framing was done perfectly. We would definitely recommend him and will for sure use him in the future.

We are so grateful to Stephens Brothers Construction for helping us build our backyard pool house…read more The quality of their work speaks for itself, and seeing their projects on Instagram gave us confidence from the start. In person, we were even more impressed by their care, precision, and attention to detail. They helped us get our foundation poured and ready to go quickly. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept the site remarkably clean, and helped us navigate Riverside County permits and inspections. Even though we didn't hire them for every stage of the build, they continued to answer our questions and stop by to check on our progress. That meant a lot to us. We could not have done our project without their help. They were kind enough to refer their subcontractors to is- so we could do our project as an owner builder. We wish we would have hired them to build the entire project. It would have been done so much sooner! Jeff and Joe are wonderful to work with. They both are extremely knowledgeable with all aspects of Construction on any project. They all know their stuff! Especially building things to code and navigating permits.. Zach is an incredibly hard worker, a true jack of all trades. He can do any job, and Mike is a legend--we were amazed by his energy and how much he gets done. The whole team is personable, honest, and clearly passionate about their work. They began our project without a deposit, and we paid only after their work was complete and we were satisfied. It can be hard to find contractors you trust, but we would gladly welcome this team back for any work on our home or yard. We felt lucky to have them involved in our project and highly recommend them. You won't have to micromanage this crew Or worry about anything. They will do the job well, keep things moving forward, pass inspections, and complete the job on time. No surprise costs or change orders. We are looking forward to having them remodel our kitchen in the future. We have worked with many contractors over the years and these guys are by far the BEST. They stand behind any work that they do and they always make everything better than they found it. Literally no mistakes with their work. Extremely satisfied customers! You will not regret hiring them! We only regret not meeting them sooner and using them to build our past projects. They would have saved us time and money! The lumber order was perfect too! No extra materials.

Here is why they easily earn 5 stars: -Super Fast: From start to finish, the entire project only took about three weeks. The speed and efficiency were amazing given the scale of the job. -Wonderful Crew: The Stephens Bros team and all of their subcontractors were absolute pleasures to have around. They are honest, upfront, hardworking, and genuine people. - Respectful of Family Life: We have small kids, and the crew went out of their way to always warn us before they started using loud tools. -Great Problem Solvers: Like any major remodel, there were a few unexpected challenges along the way, but they tackled everything with confidence. If I had one tiny piece of constructive feedback, it's that I wish the documentation breaking down the individual costs of things had been a bit more detailed. However, they are a five star company!

He's out here operating with a suspended license, stiffing the demo crew who tore out our flooring, and leaving us with a destroyed home and a half‑finished job. His installer barely got 10% done before the entire crew disappeared without a single word. I've tried calling. I've tried emailing. I even showed up at the local office -- all I got were pathetic excuses and zero accountability. The demo company and I have already filed complaints with the contractors board and the financing company because this man thinks he can just take people's money and run. How does a grown man blatantly steal, lie through his teeth, and operate with zero integrity? Every response he posts to negative reviews is defensive, rude, and dripping with shady behavior. He cannot be trusted. Nothing he says is real. And I have the documentation to back every bit of this up. I wish I had dug deeper before hiring him. If I can stop even one person from getting screwed the way we did, then at least this disaster serves a purpose.

I will start by saying that basically everyone I have ever talked to about their contractor has had…read morecomplaints. Including me, before Randy. So when we bought our new home and our agent referred us to him I was skeptical. But something felt different from the moment we met. He just seemed normal, honest, and like someone who genuinely wanted to do a good job and do right by the people he works for. Randy is the owner and general contractor of True North Contracting and honestly that ownership mentality shows in everything he does. From start to finish he has been fantastic and we are not even done. We keep adding projects and keep hiring Randy every time. The first thing he tackled was our master bathroom and it is truly beautiful. What blew me away though was how involved he actually was. Most general contractors send their guys, show up to check in occasionally and you barely see them. Not Randy. He was there every single day and did 99% of the work himself outside of the specialty stuff like plumbing and tiling, and even then he jumped in on plumbing when needed. He truly knows how to do it all. His skill level and work ethic are something else. He never overpromised on timelines, actually gave us longer estimates and consistently came in under them while keeping us updated the whole way through. And when he did bring in outside people, plumbers, tile guys, fabricators, demo crew, every single one of them was respectful, professional and clean. Him and his team always cleaned up after themselves and we trusted them in our home even when we weren't there. His second and third projects were our kitchen and guest bath. Both 10 out of 10. We are now in the planning phases for our backyard and I already know it is going to be amazing. I cannot wait to see what he does with it. I genuinely do not know if there is a better general contractor out there. I feel like we found the best one and made a friend in the process. If you are looking for someone who will actually change how you feel about contractors, look no further than Randy and his team at True North Contracting. Thank you for all your hard work, we've appreciated all of it!

Randy, the owner of the company never showed up to the house for the estimate, he sent out his floor "expert" to assess the work and put a price on it. They worked on the slab for one day, then bailed on us, didn't finish the job. I asked for a max tolerance of 3/16" over 10ft (or 1/8" over 6ft) as my flooring manufacturer requires. Randy acted like I was being unreasonable in asking such thing, although his guys agreed upon these requirements before starting the job. This is a standard requirement for most flooring companies. I didn't make up this tolerance. They smeared all over some Planipatch mixed with Bostik webcrete, without even using a primer - lying about the amount of Bostik vs Planipatch used. They didn't even bring a level to the job (??). How are you supposed to flatten a surface without checking it with a straight edge? I gave them my level and a taper gage that they never even used. Told me at the end of the day that it was flat. I checked with the level and they left me with 5/8" gaps around. They were supposed to come back the next day and finish the job (grind high spots, fill in low spots) to bring it within the flooring tolerance. But at the end of the day, Randy said that they're not the right guys to do this, they won't be coming back to fix their mess and that I should look somewhere else for someone who's more prepared for this "unreasonable" requirement of mine. If you need your floor prepped or any flooring services, this is not the right company. I'm not trying to hurt anyone's business, I even feel bad posting this review, but this is not fair to us or other families in our situation.
