I've been a loyal client of Omni VisionSource for over 10 years, but after my most recent experience, I can no longer recommend them -- and I will not be returning. I initially went in about four months ago for a new prescription that didn't feel right. I reached out, and to their credit, they offered to bring me back in to reassess. However, what they failed to clearly communicate was that there is no in-person doctor on site -- I was seen virtually, something I was not expecting from a vision care provider. My appointment was at 4:30 PM. I didn't walk out until 6:30 PM. That would have been understandable if the time had been spent providing attentive care, but that was far from the case. The person performing the exam was dismissive and borderline rude. When I told her the new contacts they gave me were blurry, she snapped, "Well, I just checked your eyes," as if that should have settled it. I told her they were worse than when I walked in, and she had no response. To make matters worse, I noticed she placed the contact lens boxes incorrectly -- the right eye lens was placed on the left and vice versa. She didn't communicate this at all, so I likely wore the lenses in the wrong eyes during the first test. The second time, I happened to catch her doing it and asked for clarification -- and she admitted she'd switched them. By then, I was completely distracted and uncomfortable. No one -- not the technician, not the virtual doctor -- noticed that I had never removed my previous contacts before putting in the new ones. I didn't realize it until I got home. That kind of oversight is unacceptable and potentially harmful. This is not the level of care or professionalism I expect, especially after a decade of loyalty. The lack of communication, the dismissive attitude, and the carelessness I experienced are enough for me to take my business elsewhere. I have been to Omni vision several times. It's in a convenient location and has taken good care of me in the past. This visit was a little different. The wait was longer than usual and for some reason the front desk was not able to location my insurance. This causes me to have to pay out of pocket. This is being worked on as I the next day provided the front desk with proof of my in-network status with the optometrist. The staff was very polite and professional about it all. The service with the optometrist was super. Very friendly, fast and through. I am still a fan of Omni and will be back in the future. read more

This must be the worst service I've ever received. First time glasses, DR & Staff on the clinic side were great. Front desk, AWFUL. They couldn't be bothered to get up and show you glasses or help you look. Once I picked frames, asked me if I wanted several options of lenses, NEVER ONCE told me they were up charges, or not needed, going as far to explain the warranty as if it automatically included; no that was also an up-charge. Says she run my insurance and card and it's $477, making it sound like it will be less after she runs the insurance but in fact charges me $477. I called back within 20 minutes to cancel, emailed , messaged through their online portal. I have emailed everyday since then, I called Monday and spoke to Donnelle who said she would make sure they were cancelled, now Thursday the charges are still on my card. I have emailed every single day asking , 5 in total and not one single response, I messages online, not one single response. HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE. Wish I could rate less than one star. Also changed me for back UV protection when it clearly says that's included in Blu Blocker. read more

I moved to Texas in January and got my exam done in February, I saw Dr. Green and ordered some contacts. No complaints. Fast forward to now I've been trying to get a copy of prescription for a couple weeks. I kept getting told they don't email or fax prescriptions to anyone. I tried over and over again and even signed a records release form at my new optometrist office. This information was crucial for my new eye doctor to have since I haven't found a perfect contact lens yet. I had to psychically go in and pick up my RX which was annoying but whatever. On a side note, I've been in the optometry industry for five years now, at my office we can email, print, mail, & fax a patients prescription as soon as they ask with no problems. My main problem is why are they withholding MY prescription? What if I was calling from my office for a patient or needing records? Would they give us a hard time? Definitely. read more

I scheduled an appointment in person, at the physical location, gave my I.D and Insurance card this process took about 20 minutes, note that I had my wife and two kids with me. So our appointment for my wife and myself to get an eye exam was booked right? WRONG! A few days later I get a texts notification to confirm the appointment so I do! Now my appointment is confirmed right? WRONG! I am not the smartest person in the room so I email my employer that I will be leaving work early cause I think I have an eye exam. That day comes, I leave work early my wife has the kids ready a 1 yr old and a two year old, so when I get home we all rush over not be late. So we arrive with are kids and check in to the receptionist and apparently are appointment was never "confirmed" and other customers had taken are reversed appointment times. So I am leaving this review to say make sure you call and confirm your appointment before you go. And than call again the same day, and than call again before you drive over. Have brought 5 of my kids there and gone myself over the last 2 years. Have ordered thousands in glasses and contacts. Made a contact appointment for myself and a glasses appointment for my daughter. They wanted me to sign that I would pay additionally for the contact exam to what my insurance will pay and when I asked how much I was told maybe 40,60,90 dollars- they wouldn't let me know until after the exam. Horrible, do not go! I've been waiting a month for my contacts after going here, called once before to be told my order hadn't arrived yet, and now I'm told order was never put in, that I have a new charge for contact fittings that I have to pay(mind you I was told I had no copay whatsoever and was allowed to leave without paying anything).. and so now I have to pay an additional $79 out of pocket. The person who helped me is "no longer employed" and thus can't be held accountable and they have no way to resolve the issue. I find that if you tell a customer that they have nothing to pay at the time of making the appointment, or at the time of the appointment, and even after, that they should have to stand by that. They can't spring up extra charges after the fact to force you to pay to receive your items or have to start all over again at a new optometrist. As for the manager Kim, instead of addressing the issue that her employee messed up somehow or someway and making it right... she brushed me off to say I could go somewhere else and start all over. I'm strongly recommend against ever choosing this place as they are disorganized , have no clear management at the specific location, and will mess orders up most definitely! read more

This is a terrible location. I've had multiple problems with the staff/technicians. They don't take their job seriously and don't prioritize their customers. I had to get an eye exam before I moved out of Texas to Miami and needed to get trial contacts. They refused to let my mother pick them up because I was working a 12 hour shift the day before I l moved and was never able to pick them up before I left. I eventually placed an order of contacts and told the technician that they have to be shipped as I no longer live in Texas. She made a note and said that they will send them out as soon as they receive them. I received an email saying they are ready for pick up and waited for their arrival. A week goes by, nothing. When it reaches 2 weeks, I give them a call and the technician said she forgot to send them out after all. Like come on, do you really need to remind them to do their job?????? Found this place after searching on yelp. Very clean office. Staff friendly and attentive. I was diagnosed with glaucoma and had the visit the office frequently. They always clean the items before you use them and I love that kind of sanitation. The doctor even gave me several contacts to try for 30 days so I would see I would like them. I had the worst experience here among all the health related appointments I had in life. Couple of years back I was seen by Dr Violet and she was amazing. This year she was unavailable. So I was seen by another doctor Sundip Patel. I should have read the reviews before I scheduled the appointment. After the visit I felt uneasy because he somewhat felt rude. Then I checked the reviews, found out other people also reviewed him rude and condescending. Even after that I went for second time due to contact lenses exam with him. The process was a trial set will be given to me from the store. I went to the store for the fitting. After wearing the lenses I saw everything blurry and floating. That day available doctor was Dr. Green. He told me to take off the contacts. He gave me another eye exam from the very beginning. He adjusted the powers and told me my results show different than Dr.Patel and similar to Dr. Violet. Now I was given different sets of contacts. I was good till then. Today I went to the store to get the prescriptions for both the glass lenses and contact lenses. They did give me glass prescription from Dr. Patel. When I asked why they didn't give me right one from Dr.Green. They told me they don't have it because the doctor only adjusted the contacts. I told them as per his instructions I took off my contacts and then he examined me from the very beginning. He told me his diagnosis is different than Dr. Patel. Now they can't give me my corrected prescription. As Dr Green is a visiting doctor they don't know when he will be there. So I am without my correct prescription now. My insurance paid for the annual eye exam. Though they told me I can get another exam with $95 out of pocket. Because they don't have my correct prescription I have to pay! What a joke! Never going back there. Few people told me omni vision not friendly to patients. Now I see why. I went there because of Dr Violet. But with this kind of patient service never going there and telling everyone I know to stay away from. read more

The worst. Got a pair of glasses(which took two weeks) and they broke within 30 minutes. I returned and they blamed me. The manager went as far as getting a like frame and dropping yhem on yhe floor and said,"see, nothing happened." On top of this, when talking with the manager(?) The front dedk girl started arguing with me. When all was said and done, they only refunded two thirds of my insurance. Leaving out the exam. Had to wait a year to use my insurance again. When it comes to eye exams and being personable, this place is 5 stars. If your glasses break and you need them in order to see, be careful. My son's glasses broke on a Saturday 30 minutes after Omni Vision closed. We were leaving town in 2 hours. Omni Vision was closed the following day as well as Memorial Day on Monday, so we made the decision to gorilla glue the two pieces of frame back together to get us through the weekend. Come Wednesday when we can finally bring them in, Omni Vision goes crazy because we glued them in order to use them. Warranty is invalid. I asked how my son was supposed to see. Their response was to bring them in at the earliest. I did, but until then, he needed to see. I have learned that the eyewear business is a real particular scam. read more

This vision center is the best I have ever been to! I showed up 2 minutes before my appointment, as a new patient, filled out the paper work and was out in 30 minutes. Dr Nguyen is absolutely amazing, he was thorough and informed me of all of the steps and results of each test so I was able to understand my eye health in entirety. I don't carry that info on me, it's Friday and I'm not going back to work. You just lost out on 2 pairs of glasses. The doctors and staff are top notch when it comes to customer service. The office is modern, clean and the selection of eyeglasses are excellent. What I loved most about the eye exam is that they use the latest technology and there is no more of those "anxiety filled shots of air into the eye ball" but to top it all off, they were awesome with my autistic son and accommodated us in the best way possible when he broke his eyeglasses one week after receiving them. I'm a little hesitant with chains, but I was thoroughly impressed by the service I received. Initially, the receptionist wasn't able to find me an appointment the next day....but she ended up calling me shortly after with a spot. She really went the extra mile and I appreciated it. The office was nice, clean, with friendly smiles from the workers. The doctor was quick and efficient and I only waited about 5 minutes for him to come to the room. In addition, they have a tool to measure eye pressure instead of that horrible puff test so that was even better! I would definitely recommend this place. Before Catherine started working here it was a joy to come to this location for all of my eye care needs. The doctors were kind and very professional, and the front staff was always extremely helpful. Unfortunately, the establishment has gone completely downhill. The do not care about the well being and safety of their clients. I was threatened with violence by another patient whilst in the waiting room. Instead of asking the patient who threatened me with physical harm to leave they asked me to leave. I was about to cancel my upcoming appointment but decided to not be intimidated by the staff nor other patients and instead take my business elsewhere. Guess they care more about keeping people with appointments that same day that they've yet to take money from than patients that don't have another appointment for a month. I would not wish the horrible service and treatment I received at this location on my worst enemy.
