I went in for my free screening to see if I was a viable candidate and everyone in the office during that visit was wonderful. They answered all of my questions that I had about the various tests that they were performing and they answered them in a professional, but pleasant manner. Yesterday was my surgery day and everything went to plan. My mother drove me to the Alamo Vision Center, the surgery took about 15 mins and I was immediately able to see clearly, leafs on trees etc. I was sensitive to light immediately afterwards, which is normal, and after arriving home and taking about a 2 hour nap I could see so well I could watch tv, read, etc with no problem. The next day(today) I went in to the office for my check up and Dr. Rashid said that everything looked perfect and I could read the 20:15 line for the vision check! I absolutely recommend getting LASIK from Dr. Rashid!

I've passed by this place several times since it's right near HEB Plus, and I can't believe it's been here for around fifteen years. Myra (hope I got her name right) at the front desk was friendly and professional, Dory was very helpful, and Dr. Michael Aguilera provided excellent care. Special thanks as well to the kind young lady (sorry I forget her name) who helped me pick out my new frames--everyone I encountered was attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely kind. What really stood out to me was the convenience of everything. The website made scheduling my visit super easy, and I received timely text confirmations and reminders, which included all the necessary information. Even when my eyeglasses were ready for pickup, I was notified right away with clear instructions. This location truly deserves more recognition. Not only is it conveniently located near my aunt's house, but the service is top-notch. After months of my doctor sending medical information and trying to contact Dr marten and no response I decided to go in person to see her. My surgery with my doctor was being delayed by weeks while waiting for a response from Dr Marten and time for my surgery was running out. After a long wait I was finally taken back to the examination area where the staff insisted on dilating my eyes and putting me through all the "new patient" protocols, I could NOT make them understand I was not a "new patient" and was there for a consultation. The male tech was such a BULLY that I was forced to get the dilation ! When I got to the exam room I was informed that DR Marten wasn't even there that day! A nice young doctor finally came in and I told him what had happened he apologized profusely , they had FINALLY found the correspondence from MY doctor!! He didn't charge me for the visit, I was left to drive home,80 miles, with my eyes dilated. I didn't know where I was as I don't live in San Antonio . I'm 70 years old and thank goodness for my cars navigation or I never would have blindly found my way to the interstate. They didn't even offer to help me down the stairs to get me to my car! I was terrified driving the long distance home. I never got the consultation. Although the doctors are lovely and seem most competent I cannot recommend this office due to the abusive staff.

    I've been a loyal client of Omni VisionSource for over 10 years, but after my most recent…read moreexperience, I can no longer recommend them -- and I will not be returning. I initially went in about four months ago for a new prescription that didn't feel right. I reached out, and to their credit, they offered to bring me back in to reassess. However, what they failed to clearly communicate was that there is no in-person doctor on site -- I was seen virtually, something I was not expecting from a vision care provider. My appointment was at 4:30 PM. I didn't walk out until 6:30 PM. That would have been understandable if the time had been spent providing attentive care, but that was far from the case. The person performing the exam was dismissive and borderline rude. When I told her the new contacts they gave me were blurry, she snapped, "Well, I just checked your eyes," as if that should have settled it. I told her they were worse than when I walked in, and she had no response. To make matters worse, I noticed she placed the contact lens boxes incorrectly -- the right eye lens was placed on the left and vice versa. She didn't communicate this at all, so I likely wore the lenses in the wrong eyes during the first test. The second time, I happened to catch her doing it and asked for clarification -- and she admitted she'd switched them. By then, I was completely distracted and uncomfortable. No one -- not the technician, not the virtual doctor -- noticed that I had never removed my previous contacts before putting in the new ones. I didn't realize it until I got home. That kind of oversight is unacceptable and potentially harmful. This is not the level of care or professionalism I expect, especially after a decade of loyalty. The lack of communication, the dismissive attitude, and the carelessness I experienced are enough for me to take my business elsewhere. I would strongly caution others before trusting their vision needs to this office.

This…read moredid not happen at this location but can only assume this is practice at a company level. I had the warranty for my sons glasses and have paid for his broken glasses. I no longer have the broken glasses so the new glasses wont be issued and Im now also being told I will not be issued a refund for the glasses or warranty for a restocking fee. No where is it stated there would be a restocking fee. So a paid warranty and paid glasses. When I call location for corporate number Im told they can not give it the manager has to put a ticket in to receive this information. Highly unlikely!!! In this climate every dollar counts.
