After two transfers and the purchase of some suitable ammunition for them plus conversation with the staff, i'll give them a thumbs up for doing a good job in a friendly way. They notified me promptly after UPS had delivered my guns and were on the ball with forms and my payment. In both cases, I was back after the annoying but required seven day wait. We finished up quickly and were done and gone within a few minutes. They have almost unlimited parking with eas. access to Central Avenue. For customers only, they have a nice clean restroom. All their for sale merchandise is well displayed and they're up on all the details. Prices are fair too. I'm a big fan after only four visits. read more

Horrible customer service. I went to the store and waited my turn in line. When a salesman became available he answered his cell phone and told a trainee to help me. The young man knew nothing so I left. I called the store later and I was instructed to look up the gun on their website to see if it was available. I have done some business with Omni over the past few years. I have bought a lot of AR15 parts and lowers from their little store on central. They only have the most common rifle and handgun cartridges in stock. So ammo is usually a bust here and is overpriced. If you need a part they only come through on common parts 40% of the time. About 50/50 on pricing. So about 50% of their parts are moderately to grossly overpriced. Be careful here and you have a 40% chance of finding what you need and a 50% chance of getting a fair deal on it. I have bought a few firearms from them and can say that their prices are fair. You're not going to get the deal of the century here. Same as with their parts pricing 50% of their firearms are moderately to grossly overpriced and the rest are a fair deal. Do your homework before purchasing here. I bought a used Sig Sauer P220 elite from them for $1000. I saved only $200 over new but was happy. Now for the bad. I went in to sell an AR15 rifle as their website mentioned that they buy used guns. I have about $1000 in the rifle and about $700 of the parts were purchased at this very store. Only 50 rounds through the rifle and no major cosmetic defects. They only offered me $200 for the rifle and were very unprofessional about the whole process. For starters they are devaluing the very parts they sell by 70% when presented to them as a complete firearm. Their demeanor was very different from when I was buying a $1000 pistol there a month ago. Not very friendly or even professional. One of their dude bro buddies came in after me and they immediately all started talking to him and not even asking me about my rifle. They Ignored me for the 2 minutes it took the person in the back to inspect my rifle. Very two faced people at this little gun store. I can get better service, pricing, and selection at Cabellas or Sportsman's with a LOT less attitude and disrespect. BMC tactical is quite larger with about 10x more stock and genuine people at the counter. They have it figured out. Avoid Omni arms as they do not even value what they sell. read more

Pretty decent shop if they have what you need in stock. Weren't very helpful in helping pick rings, holsters, scopes or any accessories. You need to walk in knowing exact part numbers and expect to walk out when they don't have it in stock. Bought an AR and a Lever action in the past from them. When they first opened they had nice prices, now expect to just pay MSRP. Haven't purchased in 3+ years now from them as they aren't competitive. Order online and FFL transfer works far better. Early on they promised opening a shooting range. Now, if you ask about it, they get really ticked off. Staff seemed more interested in themselves and "looking tacticool" with their open carry holsters than being helpful. Also far more interested in catering to the thugs with broken english who walked in knowing nothing about firearms but wanting to pay full price for a Glock. Honestly, I didn't really expect much more from New Mexico though -- especially a store on Central in Albuquerque. Keep your standards low and your wallet open and you'll be happy here. if I can rate it zero stars I would I went in today and purchased ammo, first person had ok costumer service but after we purchased the ammo we had asked him the price on a firearm , and a person from the back came charging out, practically yelling saying we smelt like marijuana and he won't let us touch a firearm but we never asked to touch any firearm just a simple question asking how much it was but what's weird is why didn't the first person smell marijuana and not say a thing when we purchased the. ammo ,I guess that was our thank you .. They upcharge heavily on ammo by the way . I have spent ample time shopping for and buying firearms and accessories, talking to employees about possible future purchases and accessories, and having the gunsmith fix up my firearms, and feel confident saying that Omni is my 1st choice for a gun store in Albuquerque. There is a myriad of experience between all of the employees and they are always friendly and knowledgeable even when I'm simply shopping and not planning on buying yet. A fine shop to buy a gun but Yelp is definitely wrong - they do not have an indoor firing range.

I first went to Omni Arms about 18 months ago. I had gone to a few gun stores in Albuquerque before that and I didn't like the attitude of the staff in many of those stores, they gave off a vibe that I was interrupting their day. The staff at Omni is 180 degrees different, they're knowledgable-no high pressure-and they're willing to spend as much time as necessary to help you. I've even gone in and stated that I wasn't ready to buy that day, and they still took the time to show me any products that I wanted to look at. It's that kind of customer service that attracts me to a business and keeps me coming back. I've bought from them and will continue to do so. read more

When I wanted to look at handguns he was leaning on counter..playing with phone ignored us. Then finally with attitude decided to do his job. No Name tag. Dark brown hair with beard. I've purchased 3 guns from OMNI, two for cash out, and one with a trade-in. They treated me fair, including the price offered on my trade-in. I also go in every so often just to browse. They are good guys and make you feel welcome in their store. Last week I went in to buy some Black Rifle Coffee (this stuff is great, I urge you to try it). The store has a great selection of handguns and rifles. You can pretty much find exactly what you're looking for. They seem to stay well stocked with most ammo calibers. Prices are fair and reasonable across the board. However, the staff is what makes this place exceptional. Far and above one of the highest quality gun store crews out there. Friendly, knowledgable, and honest. The staff doesn't make it a point to pressure you into a sale or hawk you a gun you don't want or need. More importantly they don't treat patrons who are new to firearms or uncertain what they want like second class customers - like I've seen at other stores. Straight shooters here (dammit, there I go w/ those puns)....seriously, great staff onboard here, no bullcrap, no selling you what you don't need, just common sense advice, options without opinions, and the best prices in town. Pretty sure they have just as good a selection as Caliber's as well, so it's certainly my first choice in the 505. Arrived late on a weeknight, Lee was kind enough to stay well past closing to walk me through all the pros & cons of what I wanted/needed in a EDC sidearm, since I was still up in the air, rather than pressuring me on the sale, he told me to go think about it, research the three compacts I was considering, and come back tomorrow to talk it over some more. Not "come back tomorrow and buy it," no he said come back manana and we'll talk about it. Can't stand it when someone tries for the hard sell and Lee was the polar opposite, thanks a lot! Came back the next day, Lee was busy but Tom was just as open and non-pushy, had my brand new Shield w/ two boxes of ammo for an even $500, not a bad deal anywhere, IMO. Fully recommend these fellas, a vast selection of everything from sidearms to shotguns, rifles and rounds, and just about everything else, you can't go wrong at Omni. Heck, even the Caliber's employee told me he "heard they had a bunch over at Omni" when i called to price check the Shield....Haha! read more

I have been using OMNI for over six years. They are the most knowledgeable gun store in Albuquerque and are very responsive to questions about firearms. They will go online to help with the selection of a gun or support equipment. They offer some gunsmithing support especially with a new firearm. For more involved work they steer you to the best practitioners in Albuquerque. For manufacturer warranty they are well versed in how to work the problem and get it shipped out. They are constantly getting new shipments of ammo and send me an email when it comes in. If it is a product that they do not carry they send you to the right store no questions asked. There is no gun store in Albuquerque that can compare. read more

This shop opened right in the height of the 2013 guns and ammo shortage, and managed to keep a supply of ammo all year --- they were rationing it, but they had a reasonable enough supply and decent rationing policy that it was possible to get what you needed. I managed to keep myself stocked up for monthly rifle competitions without breaking the bank or running dry. It's right near my office, so this place is definitely my first stop when looking for ammunition. I've been told that they do plan to open an indoor shooting range in the next year or so, and if that happens it'll be a great boon to Albuquerque --- we need a little competitive market in indoor ranges here. read more

I went to Omni Arms to purchase a Winchester SPX Defender. I specifically told the salesman I wanted the gun for SELF DEFENSE. They demonstrated to me the gun I wanted and I purchased it. I get the gun home, open the box, and discover they sold me a gun with two barrels; one for self defense and one for field shooting. I let the desire for the gun spoil my judgement, but when I requested a gun for self defense I did not expect to receive a barrel for field shooting also. read more
