I work next door and smell this goodness all the time. Today I gave in and ordered a sausage breakfast sandwich AND a custom omelet. I got home fries and hash browns and wheat toast. First off, anywhere else for the amount of food I ordered that would cost me almost $40 anywhere else, I paid only $20!! I couldn't believe it! Second, the waitress was a sweetheart and brought the food over to me, fresh and hot AND it only took like 10 minutes max, super impressed! And lastly, the food was AMAZING!!!! Omg it was heaven! They have two items, the Florentine, and the Florentine Omelette. I always order the first one, always get the second one. When I called to point it out, they told me it was the fault of the driver. I used to be a regular here and and my pup and I come frequently. I ordered take out because I know they get busy at times. I waited patiently 10-15 min on the patio for the hostess as I always do and no one came out. Eventually I called and the woman "Kim" she said her name was so rude and unprofessional. The first time I called I told her I was outside waiting. No one came so I called back and she basically said we are short staffed. I can't leave my post. You need to come to the door. Again I have a dog and I'm very mindful of taking him inside restaurants. Not everyone feels ok with animals inside restaurants and some have severe allergies. She keeps saying we only have two people working and a lot of take out orders. I told her I have a takeout order. She then repeated that I need to come inside. This is the thing. I get being understaffed but I live in the building, go there frequently and it's sad that the customer service is so awful. Well at least today. The woman was rude and condescending without an apology and shouldn't be working in customer service. What about I'm sorry are under staffed. I'll send someone out as soon as possible. They need more people working in the morning. There was one waitress I saw for maybe 6-8 tables. That's a lot. I understand but I will not be going back. Coffee was terrible, The strawberries and the fruit cup was mushy. Are the yolks in the eggs were a super pale/light yellow color, which tells me they use super low quality eggs. I do like that they have hashbrowns, and the hash browns were good. Bacon and sausage were good but you can't really fuck that up. Our waitress was very nice and attentive even as she had five other tables and a big party to wait on also. Didn't catch her name but she's the real MVP. I was only impressed with the veggie sausage tasting like a pork sausage, portion size and large serving size of fresh grapefruit juice my friend ordered. Despite the long wait and lack of attention from our waitress -she always walked over with a smile, cheerful and completely oblivious of the lack of attention to detail from her and the overall staff. Our waitress almost walked away without taking one more order from our group, we had to repeat our drink orders to a second person cleaning tables and repeat the type of bread we ordered with our meals to her when our meals arrived. I got here about 11am and there were a few parties ahead if me with about 15 min wait. This was a great deal and I think the prices are very well priced. I would eat here every weekend if it was closer. This is actually one of the few places where I would return without having a ls deal in the future. I got the Sicilian omelette which was delicious. Omelette Inn is located in downtown Long Beach. We found metered street parking a block away, but the server said they validate for two hours in the adjacent parking structure. The booth we chose ended up having a sticky floor, seemingly due to a previous soda spill. There was a smell of cleaning fluids in the air. The booths are somewhat torn up, but I guess they're trying to maintain the old school decor. Only my opinion, but I believe they could use a remodel. The food was decent enough. The country fried steak was good overall but the breading seemed a little old. The over easy eggs were good. I wish the hash browns were more crispy; they were under cooked for my taste. The sausage was so good that I had to ask what brand it was (Jones dairy farm). They were sweet, smoky, and tender. Our food came with a large serving of salsa, which was very good, but cold. The strawberry lemonade here is quite sweet and not very tart. I prefer my lemonade more tart. I probably won't be back but feel free to see for yourself. read more

The Manager did nothing to compensate us even though the they seen that the food was undercooked. Was seated 15 mins before a server came and took the tables order. Decided to give this place a try since it is considerably closer. They have outdoor seating which is also pet friendly. Great portions and good quality. Their home fries are delicious! There's a parking lot across the ways or you can meter park. We live close by so it was a nice little walk.
