Breakfast Burrito
Garret L.

Omelets Etc. has 4 locations in Colorado Springs, Colorado, which we visited the Academy Blvd location. This location is in a strip mall and the restaurant space in a space of concrete floors, with high ceilings and no decor. Expect quite a bit of noise if the tables are filled. The front desk was quick to acknowledge our arrival and gave us a choice of tables. Overall, the service was good from beginning to end, and all the staff seemed very friendly to all the customers. We ordered both breakfast and lunch entrees, the outstanding plate was the breakfast burrito. The Senior breakfast was nice portion, but I found the two sandwich plates to be prepared nicely, but lacking in overall ingredients to make a fulfilling sandwich. The one aspect of the restaurant environment that was very troublesome was the number of flies that were present around our corner booth, which could have been due to the hot Colorado weather at this time of the year. Overall, the food was still good for breakfast or lunch, and I would try this restaurant again, but probably in another location. Tips for your visit: Large menu, but breakfast entrees seem to be a better option for most of the tables on our visit.

Tobasco, check. International Delight creamer, check.

We loved this restaurant! There is plenty of seating. The dining room doesn't have a lot of personality, but the food, service and thoughtfulness in their business thoroughly makes up for it. We (my husband and I) went early for breakfast on a brisk December Friday. There were only a few patrons eating, we were sat immediately. Chose a far from the door booth. Their menu has a lot of creative options that are super affordable. Don't overlook this place based on location and low prices. The food is spectacular. We both ordered coffee, bottomless for 2 bits and a quarter. It was good coffee. Very happy they offered International Delight creamer...seems that many places that only offer half-and-half, let's the creamer loving coffee consumers down. I decided to just order from their sides menu and build my own franken-breakfast. Oatmeal - This $4.99 bowl that gets overlooked on the sides menu, fills your belly with warmth. It comes with raisins, brown sugar and milk. Cooked perfectly with the right amount of thickness. Cinnamon roll - Another item that got downgraded to the sides menu should recieve a promotion to a specialty menu list. Do not forget to get one of these bad Larry's. The mouthful alone had my head spinning. So soft, so warm, so big. With every penny of your $6.99. 2 eggs - $2.99. Not going to tout too long on these. They offer hard-boiled eggs. Husband ordered the French Toast combo. Re-read that last word...combo. Typically French Toast and combo don't find each other in many eating establishments. Typically, having to order additional sides to your already inflated French Toast bill adds insult to injury. No no, not at Omlets Etc. Here, it's already a complete meal AND it costs less. At just $11.99, the French Toast combo comes with 4 golden triangles of French toast, choice of 2 bacon or sausage, 2 eggs and hash browns. Don't like French Toast? You could choose a waffle instead. Husband liked the French Toast. He said if there was a bit more powdered sugar, it would have elevated it just enough to notice. The light dusting of powdered sugar that was added, had absorbed into the Toast and was lost. They offer Tobasco on the table. This is a hard to find commodity that my husband loves. This made his hash brown sing. He complimented the bacon. Cooked to perfection and was of the perfect thickness. Our server. She visited us often and another server went around refilling coffees. It's clear that they care about their community in the way they serve. Their thoughfullness to the consumer makes a beautiful impact.

Very solid place to get breakfast. Good food, good service, and really good prices. Definitely worth a try!

Very nice breakfast spot. Service was good despite how busy they are with it being memorial day Monday morning. The atmosphere is very basic, not much style. A lot of clutter in corners with a lot of box stock which detracts from the appearance. Also, it is very noisy with a lot of noise coming from the kitchen. Overall, it is a good value, and I would come back again. The restroom was neat, clean and stocked.

Don't let the blamed decor of this place chase you away. The food was amazing. We had the Nutella crepes, an BYO Omelette, and an egg and bacon plate. It was still bustling when we walked in at 10:30am. The service was good and our waitress polite and attentive. We will be back

Came here at around 7:00AM after a snowy morning. This establishment really screams "small town, old-town Americana diner". It feels very homey and there are plenty of (American) classics on the menu. I ordered the Nutty Fruity Multi-Grain pancake combo and the pancake were amazing! The walnuts inside the pancakes were plentiful, and the blueberries were not over cooked and still plump inside the pancake. The banana and strawberry toppings were also fresh and paired perfectly with the pancakes. The eggs were rather bland, but the hash browns were cut perfectly and the bacon was not soggy at all. Our waitress was attentive and kind, and they were playing Mexican music in the back. If you're looking for a breakfast place to eat that isn't a chain, I do recommend!

A good breakfast joint with a large menu and lots of variety. Plenty of space for large groups, but friendly staff that make you feel at home. Portions are generous but not overwhelming. It is in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking. And they offer everything to go, which is nice.

Snag some street parking in Downtown Colorado Springs across from Acacia Park and mozy on into the Diners, Drive Ins and Dives favorite, Skirted Heifer. I remember watching their episode 10 years ago. I didn't even live in Colorado back then! Their claim to fame is the iconic cheese "skirt" on their burgers. The way they melt the cheese, you get this funky crispy cheesy entity around the burger resembling a skirt. On this visit, I kept it simple with the Pueblo Farmer and fries. Pueblo Farmer ($12.25) // Grass-fed beef, pueblo chilies, pepper jack cheese, & homemade guacamole on our sesame seed bun. Beefy, spicy, creamy, a perfectly balanced burger. I didn't get it skirted (I honestly was so tired from driving that I forgot), but I wouldn't change much about this burger. Damn tasty! Burgers don't come with fries so I added those on. These are thin and salty. Even though the fries are extra, they have a little sauce bar with their ketchup, ranch, and Heifer sauce to accompany it. The sauces were all great and tasted homemade! Honestly, just wish there was more seating as it's usually crowded. They do have a few outdoor stools, but it does get chilly when the sun is down. If it's good enough for Guy (Fieri...duh) it's good enough for me!

But all of the other burgers were amazing as well, with tender patties and a great blend of ingredients on top. The fries were also delicious. The fries were unique, hand-cut, and pretty yummy. The service was exceptional. The patio abuts a parking lot, but that's fine if you've ever strip mall dined. In Houston, for example, there's a romance to patio dining with an asphalt view. So, while it was a four-star burger, everything else was perfectly fine. I'll round up from four to five stars for those reasons and since it is an independent business, which has been around a long time, on the southeastern edge of downtown Colorado Springs.

I've enjoyed it multiple times on previous visits and was tempted to devour it again. However the other menu items have been drawing my attention each time we visit. Yesterday was no exception. Went with the Smokehouse Burger and was not disappointed. Burger with pulled pork, onion strings, lettuce, tomatoes and bbq sauce was really good. Had to take it up a notch and throw on a fried block of mozzarella on there. Julie didn't want the bacon that came on her burger so that topped off my monstrosity! Others enjoyed the salmon burger, heatwave burger, birria burger and the steakhouse smashburger. All were mighty fine and tasty. We also ordered the house made chips (comes w unlimited refills), Bacon Queso and Not Yo Mamas Deviled Eggs, which are deep fried with a slice of jalapeño.... BOMB! We celebrated a birthday of a little one and Karen brought out a mini sundae for her to end our meal. Bad Daddy's is a great place to enjoy a family meal at a reasonable cost and extremely fun environment. Keep on Yelp'n!
