    Breakfast Burrito
    Garret L.

Omelets Etc. has 4 locations in Colorado Springs, Colorado, which we visited the Academy Blvd location. This location is in a strip mall and the restaurant space in a space of concrete floors, with high ceilings and no decor. Expect quite a bit of noise if the tables are filled. The front desk was quick to acknowledge our arrival and gave us a choice of tables. Overall, the service was good from beginning to end, and all the staff seemed very friendly to all the customers. We ordered both breakfast and lunch entrees, the outstanding plate was the breakfast burrito. The Senior breakfast was nice portion, but I found the two sandwich plates to be prepared nicely, but lacking in overall ingredients to make a fulfilling sandwich. The one aspect of the restaurant environment that was very troublesome was the number of flies that were present around our corner booth, which could have been due to the hot Colorado weather at this time of the year. Overall, the food was still good for breakfast or lunch, and I would try this restaurant again, but probably in another location. Tips for your visit: Large menu, but breakfast entrees seem to be a better option for most of the tables on our visit.

Tobasco, check. International Delight creamer, check.

We loved this restaurant! There is plenty of seating. The dining room doesn't have a lot of personality, but the food, service and thoughtfulness in their business thoroughly makes up for it. We (my husband and I) went early for breakfast on a brisk December Friday. There were only a few patrons eating, we were sat immediately. Chose a far from the door booth. Their menu has a lot of creative options that are super affordable. Don't overlook this place based on location and low prices. The food is spectacular. We both ordered coffee, bottomless for 2 bits and a quarter. It was good coffee. Very happy they offered International Delight creamer...seems that many places that only offer half-and-half, let's the creamer loving coffee consumers down. I decided to just order from their sides menu and build my own franken-breakfast. Oatmeal - This $4.99 bowl that gets overlooked on the sides menu, fills your belly with warmth. It comes with raisins, brown sugar and milk. Cooked perfectly with the right amount of thickness. Cinnamon roll - Another item that got downgraded to the sides menu should recieve a promotion to a specialty menu list. Do not forget to get one of these bad Larry's. The mouthful alone had my head spinning. So soft, so warm, so big. With every penny of your $6.99. 2 eggs - $2.99. Not going to tout too long on these. They offer hard-boiled eggs. Husband ordered the French Toast combo. Re-read that last word...combo. Typically French Toast and combo don't find each other in many eating establishments. Typically, having to order additional sides to your already inflated French Toast bill adds insult to injury. No no, not at Omlets Etc. Here, it's already a complete meal AND it costs less. At just $11.99, the French Toast combo comes with 4 golden triangles of French toast, choice of 2 bacon or sausage, 2 eggs and hash browns. Don't like French Toast? You could choose a waffle instead. Husband liked the French Toast. He said if there was a bit more powdered sugar, it would have elevated it just enough to notice. The light dusting of powdered sugar that was added, had absorbed into the Toast and was lost. They offer Tobasco on the table. This is a hard to find commodity that my husband loves. This made his hash brown sing. He complimented the bacon. Cooked to perfection and was of the perfect thickness. Our server. She visited us often and another server went around refilling coffees. It's clear that they care about their community in the way they serve. Their thoughfullness to the consumer makes a beautiful impact.

Very solid place to get breakfast. Good food, good service, and really good prices. Definitely worth a try!

Very nice breakfast spot. Service was good despite how busy they are with it being memorial day Monday morning. The atmosphere is very basic, not much style. A lot of clutter in corners with a lot of box stock which detracts from the appearance. Also, it is very noisy with a lot of noise coming from the kitchen. Overall, it is a good value, and I would come back again. The restroom was neat, clean and stocked.

Don't let the blamed decor of this place chase you away. The food was amazing. We had the Nutella crepes, an BYO Omelette, and an egg and bacon plate. It was still bustling when we walked in at 10:30am. The service was good and our waitress polite and attentive. We will be back

Came here at around 7:00AM after a snowy morning. This establishment really screams "small town, old-town Americana diner". It feels very homey and there are plenty of (American) classics on the menu. I ordered the Nutty Fruity Multi-Grain pancake combo and the pancake were amazing! The walnuts inside the pancakes were plentiful, and the blueberries were not over cooked and still plump inside the pancake. The banana and strawberry toppings were also fresh and paired perfectly with the pancakes. The eggs were rather bland, but the hash browns were cut perfectly and the bacon was not soggy at all. Our waitress was attentive and kind, and they were playing Mexican music in the back. If you're looking for a breakfast place to eat that isn't a chain, I do recommend!

A good breakfast joint with a large menu and lots of variety. Plenty of space for large groups, but friendly staff that make you feel at home. Portions are generous but not overwhelming. It is in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking. And they offer everything to go, which is nice.

Not bad at all, also not the same. The burger was kind of dry and almost seemed reheated, which is not at all the norm. I was so excited to have a location nearer to me. So I grabbed a seat at the stickiest table I think I've ever sat at in my life. After waiting for about 15 minutes and never hearing my name, I noticed a guy walked up to the counter and was handed a black bag. Next to the bag they handed him sat another black bag. I wonder if that's mine, I thought. So I walked back up to the order pickup area and asked they guy, "Did you call my name, Barry?" He checked all the tickets lined up and said to me in the most smug tone he could muster, "Dude, I don't have anyone named Barry". And then just went back to doing whatever. I said, "Hey man, do you not remember? I was just up here looking for my ToGo order. You told me you guys were ba..." and he cut me off and goes, "Oh ToGo?" And then walks over to the black bag that was sitting there and goes, "Barry?" I nod, and he snatched the back up and slings it on the counter and goes back to doing whatever. I said, "Hey man, how long has it been sitting there?" He smugly replied (as if I was a burden) "probably like five minutes" When I asked how come he didn't call me he just ignored me. He just turned around and went back to doing whatever, totally ignoring me.I said, "Look man, I don't want to get back to my hotel (about 10 minutes away) and my food be cold." He just looked at me and shrugged and went back to ignoring me, as if I was a burden to him and the store. I said "hey man, I think it's BS you're ignoring me" to which he just turned around and walked away. Honestly he's lucky I didn't pull him across the counter and teach him some manners, because his momma obviously didn't. Also, the food sucked. But I'm not sure if it was because, and as I suspected, when I got back to the hotel both burgers and the fries were cold. It was so bad we didn't even eat it. We just threw it away. An absolute waste of $40 (and if I'm being honest, I'm not even sure if hot the food would be worth those prices). Any way this place sucks and I hope and bunch of terrible stuff happens to that dude.

And sit we did. Eventually our server got to us. He let us know he'd be right with us, but then tended to three other tables in various stages of dining. Kind of crazy we couldn't get a drink order in. Not even waters. Might need to have some staff covering each other during your hot times... We ended up ordering everything at once since it had been so long. We ordered a couple of their zero proof cocktails. Over 10 minutes later, they figured out they didn't have the makings for one of them. Kind of lame. Didn't say they ran out. Said they didn't have the stuff for it but the bar only just told him. The food was good. Liked their "Big Dill" limited-time burger, and the taste of the Daddy's Philly was good, but the thing fell apart immediately. It was listed as a burger. Wasn't a burger, but was served like one on plastic tray with paper. Need a different plating if the diner will need to use a fork (and knife if provided). Sweet potato fries were *slightly* underdone, but still good. Not sure the truffle fries were +$2 good, but they were good. Server got us water once. He brought us our check with "no rush", but never asked us how anything was, and really put us out of mind after that. Think he and others might have still been in rush brain even though it had slowed a bit.

This weekend though, I ordered the chicken and waffles, which was one of my favorites, check the previous photos, it was AMAZING! This time, with the new menu, I would not ever order them again. The chicken was a not close to what it used to be or could be on a sandwich and be worthy to serve, it less than a 1/2in thick including the breading, the small waffles were soggy, and it was just unappetizing to look at on top of it. The syrup saved it, but that's saying a lot as it's just syrup... I really was looking forward to the chicken and waffles that used to be here as that was the entire reason for brunch here today, and I'll not order this again if this is what it is now. The steak Benedict was great though and well enjoyed by my wife, she loved it and the steak was perfectly cooked. We've been here 15-20 times and this was the only disappointing time since the ownership change or whatever took place. Unfortunate as we love it here, but this was not at the level it was before.
