I am regular customer and absolutely love the food and service. They all very sweet and friendly especially Friday night crews . we love sitting outside to enjoy the entertainment BUT it is way too hot sitting outside and everyone is sweating.. I saw many customers left cause it's way too hot . May be adding fans ? It will be awesome . Thank you Love

Came here to get a drink before my meal. The cocktails were made deliciously and strong! The bar tender was really nice as well and gave great service. This is a great laid back option for a quick drink before a main meal.

Stopped by Ombra for my favorite Calamari Salad and a beer. Delicious!!! For those people complaining about "no reservations ", I don't believe they take reservations or do you need them as they are a first-come, first serve cafe. Ombra is part of Amici Restaurant next door, so if you want reservations, go there. The food at Ombra is prepared in the Amici kitchen, so if you don't like something on the menu, blame Amici. Service was great, as always. Quit complaining and enjoy an outdoor patio dining experience.

visited this restaurant with a friend, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Our server was a middle-aged man with slightly gray hair. We ordered both appetizers and main courses at the same time, but specifically asked for the appetizers to be served first. Instead, everything arrived at once. Later, we asked for some red pepper, and he brought it to our table. After that, however, whenever we tried to get his attention, he avoided coming to our table. Instead, he told another staff member who was clearing tables to help us, and eventually he sent a different female server to take care of us. As two Asian women who are not fluent in English, we couldn't help but feel that we were being treated differently. Whether it was intentional or not, it made us feel uncomfortable, ignored, and unwelcome. What should have been a nice weekend meal turned into a very unpleasant experience because of one server's attitude. We left feeling upset, and honestly, it didn't feel like he deserved the tip. The food itself was fine, but the service completely ruined our experience. If you decide to visit this restaurant, I hope you have better luck with your server than we did.

Dog friendly in case you were wondering. Came here for dinner with a friend. Always passed by but never tried. Food was good. A bit pricey but the atmosphere is nice! We were wondering if the menu is the same as amici! I've had better tiramisu but it was still okay. Small for $12

Blink and you'll miss it, Ombra has been my wife's and I go-to for pasta and gin spot when we're spending an afternoon at The Americana. Even before Din Tai Fung moved inside The Galleria, we've always enjoyed our shopping break at this stylish patio, serving Italian dishes and cocktails as if while we're on holiday. Y'all- today was a day! It's a sunny Saturday on International Women's Day and Ombra was visibly busy and short staffed. A longer than typical wait to be seated, they still did their best ensuring my wife and I along with everyone else had a great dining experience. Shout out to our server (and I believe manager too) Scott, for going above and beyond for us today. He was multi-tasking while maintaining operations and providing customer service. I hope the day turned around for him and his team. We always pick dining outside when given the opportunity especially on a beautiful weekend afternoon here in LA. Ombra is that dining option when you happen to be at The Americana either on a random day, on a day-date, or meet with a friend for "a drink" day. Check them out!

Let me paint you a picture. Glendale, CA at the Americana at Brand. Weather sitting at a low 70 degree weather and the sun shining in the sky. It screams patio weather. I couldn't help but sit outside and bask in glory of this glorious afternoon. Ombra is located right in the middle of the Americana and its outdoor patio seating was exactly the vibe for today. As Ombra is a wine bar, I started my meal off with a Pinot Noir. Delicate and a bit tart, a great way to prepare for my meal. For an appetizer, I ordered the Minestrone. The soup was a great starter, light and warm, the lentils and vegetables were perfect and the soup itself was warm and embracing. Lastly, for the main course, the Rigatoni Alla Norcina. The pasta was cooked perfectly , but the parmesan cream sauce and truffle oil really put this dish over the top. I added a bit of red chili flakes as well which added a bit of kick. Credit to the staff as they also treated me with such warmth and paid attention to every detail. So now the negative. I would consider Ombra a bit of a fishbowl, as it is in the middle of the Americana, it can't be helped however, as it is open air as well, you can't help feel like you are in a bit of fishbowl. I would recommend this for light gatherings and hangouts, but not for a serious date night. Other than that, I really enjoyed dinning here and look forward to the next time.

Had a really great dinner at Ombra the other day. Everything was 10/10 - food and wine, speed of service, the atmosphere. I asked for the spinach ravioli with their pesto sauce instead of marinara and it was delicious!

The restaurant has beautiful ambiance with their outdoor seating. I was able to people watch at the Americana, which was great! My pasta was cooked beautifully and the sauce was packed with so much authentic flavor. I was so so happy with it. My mom's drink was really good too. I'd definitely come back to this place for pasta.

Food - good Italian food. Complementary bread came out first. I ordered the Rigatoni alla Norcina at $18.95. It comes with Italian crumbled sausage and mushrooms in a cream sauce and drizzled with truffle oil. Rich in taste and they serve it sparingly. Twas delish and priced right in my opinion. You can taste the truffle oil and the mushrooms. I had leftovers and I reheated it in the microwave and had it for lunch another day. Also ordered the latte and that was ok. Food seems dynamite and worth a return trip in the future since I am about 1.5 hours away so whenever that would be next, I will excitingly await! I want to try so much more! Service - it was good, fast and knowledgable. Dining - it was a cold night but they had the outdoor heaters going so it was great! The experience of alfresco dining in the middle of the Americana at the Brand was spectacular. Verdict - definitely worth trying and going back for seconds and repeat business in my opinion. Great food, good ambiance, and service was good. We enjoyed it and would deserve another visit someday soon.

Great ambiance great service. It's a beautiful outdoor dining area with a nice bar in the corner. The bartenders make delicious drinks. I always get the Spritz. It's build your own. First you pick the base, then the sparkling drink and then the toppings. I got a Campari spritz with sparkling yuzu and added strawberry and basil. Served over ice. Cold and delicious on a hot summer day. Sitting outdoors and enjoying the water fountain show and the music. Really a great ambiance. My husband and I shared a Caesar salad and a pizza. Both delicious and filling and just the perfect portion for lunch. We had an amazing lunch break.

Great spot to grab a few drinks while waiting for your DTF reservation. Love that the drinks were very customizable as if you're building a car.

I thought that they possibly had a happy hour, but either they stopped it, or they didn't advertise it. I think a happy hour would help draw a bit of a crowd and get more people there. They have a good selection of spirits and a handful of beer on tap. Overall, it was a fine visit for a drink, but was not very memorable or anything that would justify 5 stars. I'll probably try out somewhere different next time before heading to dinner. They have outdoor and indoor seating, and the over ambiance is fine. Not too loud and not too quiet. Since it had an overall good rating, I booked it right away. Afterwards, I almost had buyer's regret because there had been an influx of recent negative reviews (at least it seemed that way). I couldn't back out since my credit card was going to be charged as they require a 48 hour advance notice (longer than the usual 24 hrs -- which I thought was peculiar). At this point, I was committed to make the best of the experience. We arrived and noticed how beautiful it appeared outside. Walking in, we were greeted and sat right away by the host. I noticed that at 6:30pm, the restaurant had a few patrons, but it seemed a bit empty. Nevertheless, the staff was attentive (which was a plus). We ordered: 1) Grilled Skill Island Tiger Prawns ($23) - This was delicious and prepared well! I wish there was just one more prawn to justify the price. Otherwise, I enjoyed the grill flavor and the lebneh that it came with. 2) Pan Roasted Spanish Octopus ($24) - This was also enjoyable and we felt there was more value because of the size of the octopus. This was also beautifully presented, but it was also delish. 3) The Garden of Life Little Gem Salad ($14) - This salad was so so and while it looked beautiful, it was a very simple salad. Not sure I would order it again. 4) Grilled Australian Lamb Chops ($38) - This was enjoyable though I wish there was more on this dish to enjoy. This was quite literally just chops and you would need to order accompaniments. It wasn't gamey, so I appreciated that. 5) Black Angus Flat Iron Steak ($42) - This was good but not great and came with some roasted potatoes. For the price I was hoping for more meat or a side of vegetables. 6) Brooklyn Kura Yuzu Spritz ($12) - This was refreshing and just what you would expect. I enjoyed it. 7) Basque Cheesecake - This was light and enjoyable! Great way to finsh the meal Overall, I enjoyed the flavors of the dishes we ordered and the staff was attentive. Keep in mind that the portions are small so when I reflect back on the experience against the price, not sure the value is there. Moral of the story: Don't come hungry.
