Stay away! Total…read morescam. Reserved ahead of time and got charged and got reservation confirmation through Expedia. Day of our stay, we get a message saying that they want us to e-sign a "guest agreement". Thought it was some Covid-related nonsense. Tried to open it via smartphone, their agreement doesn't work via mobile and needs a computer. Had to unpack the laptop to find that "the agreement" was just a bait and switch - they add some "additional fees" that makes the total amount go up by 32%! Called them up and got a lady named Penny, who was super aggressive and rude from the git-go. She accused us of "not researching the reservation" because on their website they had fine print about the additional fees. She told us that they would not allow us on the property unless we signed the agreement and agreed to the additional fees. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said that there wasn't anyone. She offered to transfer me to Expedia to resolve the problem and then sent me to the wrong number. When I called back, she became irate and said that my requests for them to honor their advertised rate (same rate they advertise on multiple hotel sites) was "abusive". When I asked again to speak to someone else, she transferred me to a voicemail that literally said "we may need a few days to get back to you." About 15 minutes after I left a voicemail there, she called us back saying that she's revoked our reservation and that we should expect a refund within 7-10 days. The way she spoke and the entirety of the conversation leads me to believe that this is not a case of a bad representative - the bait and switch is company policy. Further inquiry and additional calls got to me a man named John who launched into a tirade about how they are private business and had the rights to change their rates or not host anyone any time they wanted - he at no point let me speak or hear anything I had to say. He unloaded and hung up the phone. As it stood, we were on a motorcycle road trip, in a rain storm, coming over a mountain pass and at ~4pm facing the fact that we were 3 hours away from our destination, with no place to stay, needed to find a place with reception to unpack laptops, to find another accommodation on short notice. The time it took, forced is to ride in the dark. The temperatures dropped 20 degrees at sundown. We were frozen, blind by the rain and nearly hit a heard of deer. I cannot think of a worse case of customer service experience in my lifetime! Ownership is welcome to discuss the matter with me.

We booked six nights at Pine Near and initially found the park clean and pleasant. During our stay,…read morehowever, wildfires were active in the region, a Red Flag Warning was in effect, and the air quality reached the "Very Unhealthy" range. The conditions became a genuine health and safety concern, and we decided we could no longer safely remain. I explained the situation to the owner, who sounded very understanding and even mentioned medical issues in her own family. We planned to leave the next day, but when the park lost power that evening, we decided not to spend the night without air conditioning in the heavy smoke and left. About 30 minutes later, the owner texted that power had been restored. A couple of days later, after seeing no refund, I contacted her. She offered a three-night credit toward a future stay. I thanked her but explained that we live on the East Coast and could not realistically use it, and asked instead for a refund of the three completely unused nights that followed our departure. We did not even ask for a refund for the night we left, despite not spending that night there. She never responded. I followed up again several days later and again received no response. We did not leave because our plans changed or because we disliked the park. We left because the conditions had become a health and safety issue. I do not blame Pine Near for the wildfires, smoke, or power outage, but I could find nothing in its published policy stating that guests who must leave early under dangerous natural conditions forfeit payment for all unused nights. The park also appeared only about half occupied during our stay. Policies and profits matter, but health, fairness, compassion, and common sense should matter more. We made every reasonable effort to stay and even accepted paying for the night we left. Keeping our money for three additional nights we could not safely use--and then ignoring two requests to reconsider--was unacceptable. For that reason, I cannot recommend Pine Near.

We love camping with the convenience of a restaurant on site. The owners and staff are friendly. The food is delicious 95% of the time. Sometimes the burgers and fries have been overcooked. They didn't have anything that tickled my fancy but I could smell something Coming from the restaurant that made me decide to check out the menu. Of course my young son doesn't eat hardly anything, ( basically pizza or pizza sticks, so it's really difficult to get him to eat..welp anything really).. We ended up ordering their Greek salad & a side of home fries for my husband & myself to share & a kids chicken strip/fries for our son. We DO NOT like to go into restaurants really at all. Too many people, too much going on around us, judgemental people all the time etc etc, so like usual I ordered it to go. Then went back out to our truck to tell my husband & son how long til I could go back in & pick up the food. Our son told us that he wanted to go inside AND he wanted to sit down together INSIDE to eat & of course we did it for his sake. My husband will fight tooth & nail to avoid all public events & interactions usually but not this time. We go in & get sat down by a window overlooking the lake. There was a few folks there not much. Let me tell y'all from the moment we sat down, we felt comfortable, invited, not judged, not scrutinized, not any of the normal stressors that will normally get us to get out of any place as fast as possible! It was really refreshing! The manager guy was very very personable, very engaging but not overly so & the bartender guy was the same. We let our son color on a dollar bill & we all signed it & the manager, without even saying anything to him, brought us a stable gun that he quietly sat on the edge of our table so we could put the dollar up on their walls of bills when ready. The food was great - the fries where probably the best fries my husband & myself have had in a long time & our son ACTUALLY ATE HIS FOOD!!! Great job to the two guys working. Come check this place out, it's a good one with respectable folks running the show! Thanks for the great food & great memory with our son!

The parking lot is a rodeo for compact cars only -- if you drive anything bigger than a Mini Cooper, good luck partner. The riverside 'sitting area' is less 'tranquil escape' and more 'Botanical Exhibit: Weeds of the Northwest.' A $20 Home Depot run could have fixed it, but apparently tumbleweed chic was the design choice. The scenic walkway is cleverly positioned right in front of your windows, so the choice is either: (a) enjoy your 'river view' or (b) star in a reality show called People Watching Me in My Pajamas. The walls are so thin you'll know exactly when your neighbor sneezes, flushes, or thinks deep thoughts about life. The western theme? Let's just say it's like someone googled "cowboy wood" and gave up halfway. The mix of cedar, pine, and random lumber scraps feels less John Wayne and more Home Depot clearance bin. And the bathroom? Oh, half of it is in the bedroom. Because nothing says romance like brushing your teeth while your partner is still in bed watching you. Five stars for location. Zero stars for everything else. Would only recommend if your idea of a Wild West vacation includes thin walls, awkward parking, and bathrooms that refuse to commit to a single room.

I arrived on Friday afternoon at 2:30 and decided to see if my room was available . I lucked out, check in is at 4 but my room was ready. The staff inside the Inn were very welcoming and warm. They directed me to the area where I would be staying. Having not been here before it was a little confusing as the I originally stopped at the clubhouse to check in, but they sort of directed me to the Inns lobby. The rooms(we stayed in the group 600-1000 units) were very spacious, the beds were comfortable, the views were spectacular. My only qualm was that the tv had purple lines going through it and no volume. When it was time to golf or head anywhere all we had to do was call the front desk for a shuttle and someone would be there within minutes. The drivers were all very nice and happy. The courses were great. Quicksand(par 3) was a challenge but tons of fun. Scarecrow was by far the toughest course and gamble was just amazing. Every once in a while an employee would pull up on the course with free Apples and water which who doesn't love that. The Danny Boy restaurant had some great, high quality food, which I would definitely recommend trying it out over the barn. The barn was the only miss here. Food was dismal(most of it was just plain dry), bartenders were decent but seemed lost at times, but it did have a very nice bathroom! There is also a 18 hole putt putt that has an amazing view. You can play it day or night. They sell glow in the dark balls at the front. The course is fun, just like everything else at this place. The hot tub was very useful to us and we sat in it stargazing for hours. The setting is private with privacy screens on both sides. We had neighbors on both sides of us who were also outside but all was peaceful. Good nature sounds out there. The check in procedure was flawless. It was all faceless and we never entered the office or saw any staff at all. They had our credit card number and sent us an email the day we arrived with the key box code. I'm assuming Covid prompted that procedure but it was smooth. There were a couple rocking chairs and a couch in the tv area. Under the tv was a DVD player and we watched some old Bogart/Bacall movies. Very cool. We already booked another trip next time Washington Pass is clear.
