Absolutely FANTASTIC! This family completely understand how to run a successful restaurant. We live near the cities and happen to stop on our way back home from being up north. We will continue to stop here each time we make the grip. The food was amazing. I highly suggest also having dessert. This review is only for the bakery department as I have not had a chance to eat here. I read about this place in a travel book or online. The first visit, I bought a cream puff. These are homemade and big. I only ate a bite in the car and put back in the bag. As I was bringing stuff back in the house, my dog rummaged through the bag and was carrying the said cream puff in his mouth. Damn he is smart. Trip #2 I bought 2 cream puffs and bacon bread. I was smarter this time and put in a cooler and put in over the stove microwave so my dog didn't steal. The cream puffs are so good. Plain but you could add chocolate syrup drizzle. The bacon bread is good toasted with butter on it. They are open until 8 pm on Saturday. Noone was eating inside when I stopped in. Price for 2 huge cream puffs and bacon bread was $14.00. read more

After receiving several recommendations, I've been there twice and the food has been exceptional. Oma's is a gem!

The bread was delicious. The rest was good, the desert was reasonably priced. The meals seemed a little expensive for the size. Surprised they are successful in a small town. Breakfast prices seemed reasonable but to pay $20 at lunch for beef and noodles seemed a little expensive. Dinner prices went up even more. read more

I haven't been this jazzed up over food since I was at a 4 star Michelin restaurant in Salzburg Austria a few years ago and never have I found German food anywhere in the U.S. that was so perfectly delicious and carefully crafted. I ordered an espresso and European breakfast, as well as the ham panini. All excellent. The service is great, they have the loveliest accent, so you know it's authentic! If I'm ever in the area again, I'm definitely coming back for dinner. I need to try the bratwurst and sauerkraut. read more

This place is fantastic!!! I loved everything about it! All the food was amazing! Such a great varity of authentic German food, gourmet "American" sandwiches/platters, and a huge variety of mouthwatering delicacies in their bakery. They also have a great beer and wine selection. The atmosphere is so modern and clean, yet welcoming and comfortable. The staff were all so kind and seemed genuinely happy... how rare is that? But the coolest part was the family that owned/runs the place. I've never actually been to a German restaurant where the current owners are from Germany (and we've been to a lot of German restaurants as it is my husbands favorite style of cuisine). Sounds lame, but that was pretty cool! The owners were so friendly and attentive! Last little shout out... You know the foods authentic and damn good when the chef (the owners son) is speaking German and drinking beer from a big ass mug at 11am! Love it! read more

If I could give this place 7 bagillion trillion stars I would. DO NOT bring your grandmother here, she will leave bruised and battered because you'll be slappin her every time you try the next thing on the menu! Every dish is life changing, the soups will bring a solitary tear to your eye. The desserts are fluffy and decadent, and leave you feeling just as warm as fuzzy as the staff does. My husband and I dined at Oma's for lunch. We were passing through Wadena and gave it a try. We ordered the quiche with salad. The service was fast and friendly. The quiche was delicious and more than filled us up. The salad that came with it had a delicious vinaigrette dressing. If we're every in town again we will definitely dine here.
