Fun place! We were making the drive from the twin cities to our cabin and stopped in. I want to explore the area more in the future! We had a few beers each and some small bites. I had the snack sized nachos with chicken. Plenty of food for one person! They weren't anything special but they did hit the spot. My partner had boneless wings with a bourbon sauce and really liked them! The beer menu was fun and had a good variety! We wished there were a few more light options, but if you like IPAs or fruited beers you'll be happy stopping here! The vibe of the place was very cool - it's got a "half brewery half restaurant look" if that makes sense haha. The staff and patrons were friendly, and we left with some merch (tees and a glass!) Stop #52 on our Hundreds of Hops self-guided US Hop Passport Brewery Tour We pulled in a few minutes after 9pm, sadly, the kitchen closed at 9pm & we weren't able to try the food. I'll say the special elote pizza looked fab. The brews remained available til 11pm. We ordered 2.5 beers, with the Hop Passport @ $12 after the discount. All 3 were solid choices The parking is on the street. Staff weren't overly friendly. Unlike some places we've been too, no information about the brewery was discussed. I absolutely love this brewery. I have visited Drastic Measures a few times and always enjoyed everything from the beer to the food to the staff to the overall atmosphere. DM offers up a wide range of beer styles. Everything is true to style and well executed. I strongly recommend a stout, sour, or lager. Food is also delicious and wildly portioned for the price. If you plan on eating I would suggest getting something to share. Staff is always super friendly and incredibly prompt. You wouldn't need to worry about your beer sitting empty. read more

Drastic Measures Brewing was the latest brewery Steve and I enjoyed from the state of Minnesota! A little bit out of the way off of any Interstates this brewery is a refreshing break for any wayward travelers. Steve and I split just one beer from this brewery and it was the IPA by the name of Floggy. This IPA had a velvety body and soft to your lip's touch. It was a hazy IPA which is a highly popular trend with breweries right now. This IPA was refreshing however it wasn't anything terribly unique which is what I usually look for but not really any other faults other than that. Flavor features to expect with this beer is typical IPA territory with hoppiness and a jucines that can be enjoyed when savoring this IPA. read more

Went here while visiting the town and everything tasted amazing. Got some weird vibes from the staff like maybe they prefer locals there but everything else made up for it. I tasted both sours, poontang and overlord, poontang was so good that both me and my table mate got it. Compared to NY the prices were also amazing. We got the pickle poppers the bossy tots to start. Bossy tarts were cheesy mashed potato balls that were super smooth and yummy. The pickle poppers were amazing though! Like jalapeno popper style eggrolls but with chopped up pickles instead of jalapenos. After that I got the spicy clucker chicken sandwich which was by far the best chicken sandwich ive ever had. Very saucy and juicy. Over all i recommend stopping by this place and wish i could go again. read more

Saturday six of us rolled in to town where we hit the distillery then headed directly across the street to Drastic Measures! What a welcoming venue with it's Main Street floor to ceiling windows! We were fortunate to grab the only large standard height table. We shared Drastic Nachos w their generous shredded chicken and cheese, perfectly seasoned wings and a basket of a side of fries. All food was able to fill the bellies for six. I opted for a flight of two Hazy's: Super Stupid and Regulator and two stouts the delicious Humble Bumble and the too smooth for it's high ABV Glint Eastwood. I tried a sip of someone's Knucklehead hazy, just as good as mine on my flight. I got a chuckle out the beer Richard Cranium.... forgot to order a taster of it. My flight was $12 as clearly stated on the tap list a flight is $10 for four pours w a $2 additional if you opt for an Imperial beer, which I did w Glint Eastwood. Regukatir and Glint Eastwood were my favorites of the day. The tap room was bright, spacious and had great acoustics as there was another large party a couple tables away. A fun surprise when I headed to the bathroom to see one hall wall was glass... looking right in to the brewery! I also spotted before the hall a small little gaming area w a seating area. The staff werefriendly and helpful. Free street parking right out front was easy. If you're near Wadena definitely don't pass up a stop at Drastic Measures; thanks for a delicious afternoon! read more

If there is a hipster spot in Wadena, this is it! The decor was trendy and so was the music. I was surprised to see this in a cute little small town. FYI... the tables and chairs seem to be a little wobbly. Sit in the back corner where there are a few teal cloth chairs. It looked cozier there. They have food also! We were staying at a B&B in town and wanted to venture to a local brewery. When looking at the menus on the table... there were two we were really excited for and an employee came over and told us they were out of both of them (Poon Tang and Humble Mumble) .... BOO! I was surprised they didn't print new menus yet or cross them off with marker. You order your beer at the counter. The two beers (Dirty Mind and Night Moves) we tried were good enough. The Night Moves has a bitter coffee flavor and medium body and Dirty Mind was fruit forward and easy drinking. Overall, a fun little adventure in Wadena. read more

Burger was average; not allowed to add cheese to it. If you want cheese, order the bacon cheeseburger, but you can't get lettuce, onion, etc. "You get bacon, meat and cheese; nothing else". WTH? So this was going to be a five star review and I actually had this review drafted while enjoying a flight...beers are great! However, we ordered food and that was our mistake. We ordered two sandwiches and fries and they never came. I could see the food window from our table and I could see it sitting there for over 15 minutes. Everyone around us got their food and ours sat in the window waiting. We waited a total of 50 minutes for our food after we ordered and it never came. When we finally gave up and told the server why, we were told the order got forgotten and was never brought out. The server then told us that they could remove the food from our bill...uh duh. We never got food. We still payed full price for our flights of beer which we sat with empty drinks for about 15 minutes while we waited for our food to come. Which it never did. I get being short staffed. I can be patient, but we were blatantly just forgot about. That stinks. Awesome beers, skip the food. read more

The beer was great. The music had us dancing in our seats. But we didn't know if the food was good because it was way too cold to eat it. It was soggy. We could see it sitting under the warmer for a good 20-30 minutes before we got it. Finally we asked and the waiter brought it. We asked for different fries but instead they gave us our food free. Afterward we had to go to McDonald's and get food. Our waiter was very kind about the whole situation though. The Mac and cheese was Kraft it was way too dry. The worker wouldn't even touch the food because it was so cold. Most likely will not be coming here again. We were patient for a while but this was ridiculous. read more

Beer selection really good.Many varieties should please everyone.The pizza has been really tasty too.Today I tried a "Bacon me Crazy Burger " Big mistake. Beef quality sub par. They slathered some weird jelly that either had grit in it or the meat was dropped on the floor.We'll never know.About a pound of deep fried onions and crappy French Fries served alongside the burger.Nobody would ever eat that,unless they were punishing their digestive system.Make a burger using good quality meat and leave the scraps for people's pets.Sorry for the brutal honesty but I have to warn others. read more

The food was delicious and the chef was so sweet to stay after hours for us. The ambience is super cute and not what I would expect for small town. Very trendy and hipster and loved it! Solid... meh... I was so excited to go here... they are a tog friendly tap room and I really like their beer!.... but we had a solid crap experience. The waiter was nice, but definitely didn't care that our tacos didn't come for over an hour. (It was taco Tuesday and all they had were beef tacos) We saw other tables get nachos and their tacos looked full... ours literally were almost empty shells had to find my own taco sauce at another table, we had no napkins and generally it solidly felt like since we weren't locals... we could kind of go away. Again, i do like their sours - i traveled to get to have them live - but i won't bother to go back and I'm less excited about spending the extra at our local liquor store to support em... but they prolly don't care cause I don't live in town anyway. read more

Really good food, even better beer with some good variety and unique offerings (a rarity with so many breweries competing with their multiple takes on popular styles). I have been to several craft breweries, Drastic Measures is one of the finest around. I enjoyed the beer and the food at the restaurant attached was excellent. The batter fried french fries with aoli were amazing and would recommend you to try them. Their food is unique and not sports bar food, which I like, it's fun to try some different food items. The owner was extremely friendly, came and chatted with all the tables even through they were very busy. This is the new fun spot in town. read more

I had been so looking forward to the opening of this brewery for a long time. The brewer/owner allegedly was not needed anymore at Disgruntled in Perham and started his own. Funny how things work out for the best. Bret has coordinated with Lupulin to produce Cohoperation so he has talent. First time here was last Saturday as I live 3.5 Hours away in the cities. I like craft beers and breweries and have been to a lot. These I sampled: Last Nose Gose a sour. The only one I didn't like. Oatie is an American Blonde Ale. Good. El Cheapo American Blonde Ale at 5.7% ABV and get this a 10 oz for $2 or 16 oz for $3.50. I have never seen a pint that cheap anywhere. Coconuts Double Milk Porter at 7.5% ABV was good. Also tried Ill Intent at 8% Double IPA which was really good and Richard Cranium described as a bitter beer was really good Brown type ale which I got a growler of. Ashley, the brewer's wife introduced herself and noticed I was on untapped. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Nice bathrooms. Kids and dogs are allowed. There is a walk up order food window that just opened named Ales and Eats. Parking is street or side of building parking. The beers were great here. Keep brewing great beers and best wishes for success. As of now there is no website but updates are on Facebook and Instagram. They also will fill your growler. Highly recommend!! read more

I drove 2.5 hours one way from Cambridge area to find out that they ran out of all their IPA's. I checked their website and it stated that they have two different ones. The one positive note was that the establishment gave me a coupon for this. The downside is that it's 2.5 hours to get there. I did try the Oatie, and that was Ok. We'd heard positive things about Drastic Measures Brewing prior to our visit. The headbrewer came from Disgruntled Brewing in Perham, and his reputation preceded him. With little expectation of our own, we were beyond impressed by the space, beer and taproom service! The taproom is modern, open and simple. Huge windows allow plenty of natural lighting as well as a view of the brewing space in the basement below. A kitchen in the back serves up delicious artisan-style pub food (the boneless wings and fries are fantastic!). And the BEER! I've only recently developed a taste for IPAs, but I enjoyed every IPA I tried. The imperial stout was super tasty, too. But the real standout was the pastry sour Overlord. Not typically one to enjoy sours, this one was the right amount of tart but mostly sweet. We took a Crowley home with us. As far as first impressions go, Drastic Measures couldn't have made a better one. I'm a fan and will be looking for any excuse to pass through Wadena in the future! read more
