Def time to update my review! We have a cabin up here and have been making Disgruntled our staple since it opened! With it growing and making new brews, we still love this place! Every person we have met that works here has been friendly, funny, knowledgable, just down home! This place & its now owners who have family history brewing beer many years ago and now again. Just so cool! The atmosphere is comfy and tvs to watch a game, the patio has the Best furniture ever is huge and comfy and under pines yet get sun! Just the best of the up north feel and the best of a brewery in all aspect. Did I mention they are smart and keep their staple on hand (as a brewery should hence "staple") and has a wide variety on the menu so something for everyone! Stopped on our way to the cabin - LOVED this brewery! It was empty of a Wednesday night haha, but we loved chatting with the bartender! Sooo many beer options, and fun ones too like Jalepeno and Strawberry! They sometimes have food, but don't count on having a full meal. Stopped in Thursday on my way to Fargo. Beertender Rachel wasn't good she was so... knew her stuff.... fantastic!!! We discussed which breweries I would be hitting the next two days so she gave me several recommendations, it was fantastic!! For here I opted for a Pickled Wizard, which Rachel said was really pickley, which I didn't pick up on, BUT I have no sense of smell which effects my taste, it was delicious! I also opted for a small pour of Perspective blonde. Then... I had a sample of the Black Sheep oreo stout. Then... Rachel slid me a sample of El Chupacabra.... jalapeno sour!!! As she did she said it was tart, my key word!!! A four pack left with me! She also slid me an Aronia berry sour. As per everything else I tried, delicious. Rachel just reinforced my stance: no matter how good the beer is, 90% of why I come back to a brewery is who's behind the bar! Rachel was so informative and knowledgeable... a true delight!!! Her recommendations came in handy when I visited some breweries yesterday and sought our her recommended beers!! Disgruntled is a three hour haul from the cities so I don't see myself stopping back anytime soon. But I sure did enjoy the conversation, company and beer on Thursday. Thanks Disgruntled!! read more

Staff is super nice and helpful!! Had the cream ale which was all around pretty perfect!! We were asked how we feel about shandy.... And proceeded to say that they make their own concoction with their lemonade! Ummm yeah I was all over that!!! We did a 75% beer to 25% lemonade mix in a growler. I loved it The whole environment was what I think a brewery should be, plus the outside seating area was on point. I can't wait to return to see what they have to offer next time. read more

Good variety of beers, from hoppy to sour to red. High quality brews! Food options were limited on a Wednesday but you can bring in outside food. Sandwiches, pizza (we tried neither) and flavored popcorn as well as jars of nuts (trail mix, spiced nuts,etc) from "We are Nuts" company. They are looking for more food trucks. We loved our visit and plan to go back -- definitely worth a visit! One of the best breweries in northwestern MN. The lineup is always adventurous and they did a wonderful job on the outdoor patio. They're also putting a lot of effort into live music on Saturdays, which is always a blast. If you're in the area and you're a craft brew fan it's a must! Location not great, located across some railroad tracks in an industrial park location. No real identity that would set this brewery apart from the rest. When you've been to ones in the metro area and then come here you'll be disappointed. Rule #1 No one under 21, leave your kid in the car. Rule #2 No Pets. Location is a pole barn and has no patio. I received free samples of Belgium beer and Creeper a Wheat Beer. You can order half a pint for $3 which is nice. I enjoyed the taste of the Creeper beer. Boring, plain brewery that I probably won't return to. read more

My sister and I paid a visit to Disgruntled Brewing while visiting family and were blown away with the quality of beer, the atmosphere and the incredibly nice and helpful staff. We live in the suburbs of Denver (the land of craft beer and small Breweries) and this place could easily compete and thrive here in Colorado! We highly recommend visiting for a great tasting beer! Ever since their head brewer was let go, this place has taken a nosedive. This was a great spot. Was. I loved this brewery and their beer, but it really was the true labor of love of the the head brewer, Brett. It was his concept, his name, all of the beers were his recipes...you get the idea. The people who fronted the money decided they knew how to do his dream better, and now he is gone...and Disgruntled has joined the hoard of mediocre craft breweries trying desperately to be relevant. read more

I have been excited to try Disgruntled since it opened and was able to get there this week while on vacation. There were a great variety of beers and the laid back atmosphere was relaxing. The only thing that i did not like was the cheap outdoor silver tables. They were very flimsy and did not fit in with the other decor. We were looking for a good beer and something to eat on our way home from the lake and stopped in. They advertise pizza but for some reason we couldn't order one and we waited for at least 10 minutes to be waited on. The beer was good but we will skip this for the poor service alone. There was one person working and she made it very clear we were a bother to her and her night. Skip this place and go to zorbaz instead. read more

Great selection of beers to choose from. We purchased growlers of two different varieties and even had them refilled. When we went to return the empty growlers, we were told that they do not give the deposits back which is a detail they need to advertise. I'd like my $10.00 back. read more
