Finally had the change to stop by on the way up to Fargo for a beer fest. The grounds are enough of…read morea draw to hang out and break up a drive, but the pizza and pretzel were also fantastic. Everyone we talked to was really friendly, helpful, and quick with the service. It was right after they opened on a weekday so they weren't too busy. The taproom is fashioned like a viking longhouse and the layout is great for big get-togethers. Not to mention the sprawling campus with gorgeous views. The beer was all pretty solid. Nothing to warrant a trip by itself, but I enjoyed all of them. The Margherita is always my litmus test for a pizza joint and they delivered! The crust was light and airy, really flavorful, and the charring was perfect. The sauce was bright, mozzarella fresh, and the basil (correctly) added after the bake. The pretzel was just as well done. Really fluffy with a crisp crust and just the right amount of chew. Their rotating specialty pizzas all sound amazing so you know next time I'm in the area I'll stop in for a pretzel, pizza, and a few tasters.

Looks like they are maybe known for pizza as far as food. We ended up getting drinks out on the patio but not sure if that bar maybe went by a different name? Either way, cool place to grab drinks, food & hangout.

This place is fantastic!!! I loved everything about it! All the food was amazing! Such a great…read morevarity of authentic German food, gourmet "American" sandwiches/platters, and a huge variety of mouthwatering delicacies in their bakery. They also have a great beer and wine selection. The atmosphere is so modern and clean, yet welcoming and comfortable. The staff were all so kind and seemed genuinely happy... how rare is that? But the coolest part was the family that owned/runs the place. I've never actually been to a German restaurant where the current owners are from Germany (and we've been to a lot of German restaurants as it is my husbands favorite style of cuisine). Sounds lame, but that was pretty cool! The owners were so friendly and attentive! Last little shout out... You know the foods authentic and damn good when the chef (the owners son) is speaking German and drinking beer from a big ass mug at 11am! Love it!

These are homemade and big. I only ate a bite in the car and put back in the bag. As I was bringing stuff back in the house, my dog rummaged through the bag and was carrying the said cream puff in his mouth. Damn he is smart. Trip #2 I bought 2 cream puffs and bacon bread. I was smarter this time and put in a cooler and put in over the stove microwave so my dog didn't steal. The cream puffs are so good. Plain but you could add chocolate syrup drizzle. The bacon bread is good toasted with butter on it. They are open until 8 pm on Saturday. Noone was eating inside when I stopped in. Price for 2 huge cream puffs and bacon bread was $14.00.
