Our table did a mashup of everything - wings, burgers, pizza, and even a grilled cheese. Again - all simple, but all tasty. I'd call this place Perham's top wing/pizza place in town. I split the grilled cheese and then had the buffalo wings. The buffalo sauce was on point from a flavor a heat perspective. And the homemade ranch - heck yeah! Perfect combo! First time here but it won't be the last. My son and I came here. I ordered a slider with cheese which was definitely enough to eat. My son ordered the Belltower Burger which was bacon, mushroom, cheese and sauce which was like a strogenoff sauce. I mopped some of my slider in it. We also shared the cheese curds as a side for $5. We were charged $1.50 for ranch, even though it was free with order of curds as an app. Also ordered Busch Non Alcohol beer for $5.00. It was really nice inside as this was an older church in its past life. The Burgers are 1/2 # and I enjoyed a bite of my son's burger. The burgers are fresh and not frozen and worth ordering. I did suggest hot honey with the cheese curds and turn the peanut butter grilled cheese and bacon sandwich into a burger. I'd return again. read more

Amazing food. We started off with the onion rings. It didn't come with sauce so we had to ask for some. Come to find out, they charge $1.50 for each sauce. We weren't aware of this. It's not that big of a deal but something to keep in mind if you're sauce lovers like us. I got the patty melt and my partner got the boneless chicken wings with bbq sauce. Their bbq sauce is tangy and so good! My patty melt was delicious and you can tell the meat is good quality. Seriously amazing burgers. And we are not easy to impress when it comes to burgers. My mom especially pretty much never orders a burger and she was surprised at how good hers was. I had a double cheeseburger, and it was one of the best burgers I can remember eating, period. This is a burger that will remind you why griddle beats grill, because the crust was outstanding. They were juicy while still being fully cooked, and whatever they season the patties with is noticeable but not overpowering. I'd buy it by itself. I think there was a bun, which held things together but wasn't too intrusive. I had cheese curds with mine, which were very good. I don't know if they bread them on site, but I wouldn't be surprised. My mom wasn't super excited about her fries, but it's always difficult to keep fries fresh when you're doing takeout. Obviously I can't comment on the inside atmosphere or service, but hopefully one of these days... Honestly, though. The burgers. Eat one or seventeen or six-tenths or whatever. Just eat it and feel happy and repeat whenever you can. Food is delicious and so are the drinks. The atmosphere of the old church is unique and fun to be in. We came in on September, 16th in the evening. 4 young women were working. They deserve the highest praises, you could tell they working as hard as they could to get to every single person and table. They were kind a pleasurable and had awesome recommendation. When I was searching for a unique place in Perham to grab a nice dinner and drinks I found this absolute hidden gem! First off if you like old historical architecture this place is an awe inspiring structure! It was built in 1894 as a Lutheran church and went through multiple changes through out the years then 14 months of renovations to become the 1894 aka The Church. There is even customers that were married here in 1961 and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at one of the vintage tables. Sit in the "Bell Tower" table to get the full experience. Second, all the food is fantastic! I've had many of the items on the menu but my favorite is the "Bell Tower Burger" named obviously after the churches bell tower. It's basically a shitake mushroom with provalone cheese and a stroganoff/garlic aoli! Get the sauce on the side and dip your side for a truly scrumptious taste. Speaking of sides they offer a fantastic array of delicious treats. The fries are crispy and always hot but the onion rings are to die for along with deep fried pickle spears being another treat. The pizza is second to none and that's all I'll say bout that. Okay it's a family recipe that has been past down to this amazing restaurant. Nuff said. Third, the staff is hard working and polite but the two owners actually work all positions and can give you the history on the property if they aren't too busy. Which for the most part is all of the time. Finally, they have live music at the church on most weekends. which local musicians love to play there due to having some of the best acoustics. Wandered in after the Turtle Fest parade. Beautifully remodeled old church with a fantastic bar. At the time, there was no kids menu option, no free refills on soft drinks, and the ambiance was off-- with disposable plastic cups instead of glasses, paper plates, and food served in paperboard baskets at a pretty premium price. I suspect they'll be improving as time goes on, but to have a great looking restaurant with only hot dogs, burgers, and wings on the menu seemed odd. Pretty disappointed and unimpressed. Finally had the opportunity to check this place out with some friends who live near Perham. The concept, very cool and they done just enough to keep the vibe of this used to be something else totally and now, it's a bar/restaurant. The menu is simple, but fun. Great burgers with a variety of side options. They really had me at 'a bucket of bacon' as a starter! Great beer selection, good cocktails. The atmosphere of being a former church is fun. They've kept enough of the buildings charm and incorporated it into the restaurants theme without it being offensive to those who might be sensitive to that. The great service saved this from being a 1 star review. It's a really cool concept for a place and the inside is very nice, but the food was pretty bad. Ordered cheese curds, fried chicken sandwich, patty melt, and a plain cheeseburger. It was quite possibly the worst patty melt I've ever had. It was half bread because the meat didn't fill out the sandwich, and the cheese wasn't melted. The chicken sandwich was a chicken tender on a bun. My daughter bit into something hard in her burger and couldn't eat another bite. I will say that the cheese curds were pretty good. If the prices of the food wouldn't have been so high I probably wouldn't be complaining, but $65 for horrible food is ridiculous. read more
