We stopped in this cute little bakery on whim as we were passing through the area. We were really glad we stopped. The baked goods were delicious. My family said the donuts were great and I loved my chocolate croissant. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Even in these times of Covid I try to support the local businesses, however when your product is advertised as fresh and your Donuts are at least a day old sometimes pushing two or three it's very disheartening. Especially to pay full price. We bought some day old donuts? The dog won't even eat those... She eats everything! I went here for the first time in September with my two small children. It was so sweet to talk with the younger owner and have her give recommendations for me and my children. The baked goods that we purchased (homemade bread, donuts) were outstanding. You must try the bacon maple donut-wow! Additionally, the wonderful environment brought me back to being a child in a small town. Locals (including the North Memorial EMS truck with Rob) filtered in getting their sweets and lunch soup for the day. I loved seeing a quart jar passed over the counter to be filled with soup. Adorable! We sat outside in the sunshine on the Autumn decor hay bales enjoying our donuts and talking with Rob. We can't wait to come back. Small-town bakery that has kept up its charm for years. Several tables to enjoy baked goods there. The selection of character cookies for children is great (my favorite is the cookie monster cookie, made with two chocolate chip cookies and filled with frosting) and they also have creatively decorated cakes (the little fish with the gummy worm hanging from its mouth is great). They also sell a variety of breads and buns. Prices are very reasonable, with most items well under a dollar. read more

My family and I just moved to Pine River, I was so excited to when we discovered that there was a bakery in Piner River. Moving to a small town has it's limitations and this was one small thing but a great thing for us. Our joy was short lived when we walked in. They have plenty of selections of cookies, donuts and turnovers. However, everything is covered in sugar and corn syrup. When I inquire if the owner if they had any selection for those who have sugar issue or heathier options, she made a face like I said a swear word. She replied, No. I ask if she had anthing savory or gluten free of with less sugar, and she said No. I ask if I can place orders for something healthier and She said No. We are a small town that have an advantage of being on HWY 371, when we get these out- of-towners, with limited selections that hurts our small town. We need to be attracting more business, not running them off due to the lack of availablity. With these times where most folks are on a Health watch, what business does not want to cater to having healthier selections. That just shows us that she does not want do business with those who will like something more. That devastates our community and every other small business in Pine River. read more

We stopped here on a Saturday to pick up pastries for our road trip. I asked specifically if they were fresh and they said "yes". Three of the items we picked were OK. Luckily, I cut the fourth item, a rhubarb-strawberry pastry, apart to share and it was full of mold inside. YUCK! I called to tell them and they said that high humidity probably caused it. Sorry, but it takes TIME for mold to grow. Never again. read more
