I can't say good enough things about this store. I miss being able to pop in weekly and now that I live two hours away at least I get to visit now and then. Today was no exception because the staff always on point and helpful but also respectful to let you browse. They have some great pieces in right now. Absolutely LOVE the incredible customer service and thoughtfulness of all the Om employees! We were looking to replace one of our silk lanterns that we purchased there 25 years prior and the owner went out of his way to go to the warehouse and bring in a few different choices to the Gallery as they no longer display them there on site. We're so elated with our new beautiful lantern Thank you Om read more

Awe man I can't describe how happy I was to find this neat and crafty store in Santa Cruz! I needed a Jade ring and I ended up with one green jade, one white jade and hematite! I was so happy that the lady went to the back of the store to look for a ring my size, so resourceful! Measured it with the wand and everything! I'll be back for more Knick knacks for sure! This is one of those stores that is simply filled with a whole lot of great stuff. You can walk into the shop and just look around or you can come here to buy a gift for someone or perhaps buy something for yourself that you never knew that you needed. The focus of the items sold in this shop is obviously placed on the more spiritual realms of existence. This is not to say that is all you'll find here, however. Sure, they have their supply of Buddhas and Ganeshas and things like that. But, there's also all kinds of other very interesting things from wall hangings, to lamps, to jewelry, onto pretty much all kinds of other stuff you would not even expect. Great store! Nice staff! Great place to shop! read more

Om gallery is such a fun shop to explore and I always find myself wandering inside if I am walking downtown. Literally a visual overload and you can't help but run to every section and say "woah, look at this"! I am obsessed with vibrant and colorful lighting so for me I'm like a kid in a candy shop here. They also have a great selection of water features to purchase. Definitely a solid place to find unique gifts and to decorate your home and garden with some funky flair. read more

An extremely warm and welcoming store. My boyfriend and I are people of color, and tend to experience poor treatment from crystal shops. This one, however, was different. Not only was the shop owner so kind to us, everyone else was mindful and respectful. Everything is reasonably priced and well maintained. The shop sells everything from tarot cards, crystals, to homemade knick knacks. It was a beautiful sight. Will definitely be coming back! read more

Serenity. Whimsy. Enchantment. Zen. As you enter the walls of this eclectic and very original gallery and you are instantly taken to a place of peace. I can recall the very first time I stumbled upon Om Gallery during one of my many trips to Santa Cruz. I must've appeared as some cartoon character whose jaw immediately dropped in absolute awe over the overwhelming array of colors and assortment of everything I love which adorned the gallery - from the walls to the center floor area - even the ceilings! A kid in a candy store is what I feel like every time I visit and the folks who work here are always great - they don't bombard anyone with the notorious "is there something I can help you look for today?" whilst following you around. No. Instead, they allow you to take all the time you need in order to fully digest all there is to take in and let me tell you - there's a lot! They are more than happy to answer any inquiries you have as well! From fragrant incenses, candles, various lighting including some I have started a collection of - lighted star-shaped ornate paper lanterns in literally every color, dream catchers, decorative hangings, meditation stones & healing crystals, Buddha fountains, Tibetan Singing Bowls, wooden decor, furniture pieces sculpted from beautiful wood, wind chimes of various types, aromatherapy, statues of religious icons including Ganesh, Buddha, lotus lamps & lanterns, meditation pillows, Himalayan Salt Lamps, even jewelry - this gem offers literally everything. Depending on what you purchase, prices can range from the affordable to very extravagant, however I feel for the more pricier items, they are well worth the cost as they are just so beautifully crafted and unique! There are pieces here I have not come across in other shops. Check out the photos I've posted from past visits. This shop is a thing of beauty on so many levels! It's my little piece of zen - an absolute magical kaleidoscope of colors. A sanctuary to me. I almost feel strange as I compose this review as I almost cringe over the thought of my special place of peace being shared with the masses. It's a known place to beach goer's in Santa Cruz and to those into metaphysical & spiritual. Downtown SC can get a little packed, so as far as parking goes, you'll probably luck out if you park just down the block. It's just a short walk and along the way, you'll happen upon a bunch of clever Santa Cruz eateries of all types and even a lovely wine shop! There's just so much to take in and see, so plan on some time when you visit. You'll see what I mean. Om Gallery will leave anyone awestruck who appreciates such a place of tranquility that offers truly original gifts to those you love - especially yourself! Do yourself a favor and be sure to check them out. You may even see their adorable store "mascot" sweet little doggy! read more

I really like this store but when I went last week the blonde woman in her late 20's early 30's was really giving me a look from hell in pure disgust for me picking up an item off the shelf to examine it more closely. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what her issue was but even my date noticed her giving me the stink face. My girlfriend and I went in here after dinner and I was on the hunt for some Chinese meditation balls. Being that this store primarily sells stuff regarding spirituality, I figured I would have some luck. They didn't have them, which was no problem, but when I asked the employee, she assumed I was referring to a sex toy... Which is ridiculous, embarrassing, and inappropriate. She was quite rude about it as well, which was what made it just weird and uncomfortable. Get your mind out of the gutter! read more

They have lots of other accent pieces as well, from statues to wall art to clothing (even cute l'il outfits for kids). Their customer service is always great, too. I've managed to pick up a few pieces on sale, so if you want something and think you can't afford it just look around. You're bound to find an item that is within your budget. Stopped here this past Saturday and they were having 20 (or was it 25% off) merchandise to celebrate small business day. With or without the discount, their colorful unique lamps are well worth the investment. I'm not in the market to redecorate right now, but when I am, I will definitely come back here for their assortment of lotus shaped lamps and other home delights. They have a cute and well priced selection of lotus tea light holders with accompanying stands that would make fun accents to any smaller space as well as larger panel art that would go nicely in my 3 story beach house dream home. After a full year or more between my trips to Santa Cruz, this was the one shop I remembered and couldn't wait to visit again. I LOVE this store! Just walking into the store is a fun and relaxing experience. I bring all of my Out-of-Town guests here just to experience it. You can sign up to become a VIP member and get 20% off coupons and invited to special events. The last time I bought something was at their Special VIP event. Almost a week later, I realized that I couldn't find the light shades I had purchased. The Event was fun and a little chaotic but I figured out the cashier had given me the bulbs and power cord, but left out the shades! I had the receipt but how was I going to prove that I didn't receive the shades? So I returned to the store, explained what I think happened and the owner gave me the shades with no questions asked! The Om gallery is one of the most beautiful shops I have ever been in! Their gallery is filled with beautiful lighting, wall decor, little trinkets, candles and sweet little collectibles for the home. I am completely redecorating and reorganizing my office in my home and I couldn't help but to get a couple of things from here for my new office space! One of the most special things they have are these large dream catchers. They are stunning! I got a gorgeous white one in medium, which is pretty large! To go with it, I got a white and silver star lamp! I am so excited to get them up. I already have three star lamps through my house, and I absolutely love the light that a star lamp makes. They have a whole collection at Om Gallery, just fyi, in case you are a fan like I am. You can't go wrong here. THIS PLACE SLAPS!! Good quality of everything and for a reasonable price! I always make it my goal to stop by here! 10/10 would recommend!

This shop is totally engaging. I asked if there was a discount since I was buying a lot of pottery items to get a jump on Xmas shopping, and I was offered 20% off! Then I got a 20% off coupon through an email, so I used it on a $500 standing lamp. Unfortunately I had to wait a couple of months for it to arrive from the Philippines ( during Covid). Christopher was so accommodating and assured me that it would arrive, so I had it shipped directly to my home, and I'm glad I did. I was just walking by in downtown Santa Cruz and was intrigued by this store. I usually don't go to stores like these, but there were some things that made me want to go in and look around. I was greeted by a friendly staff right away which made it welcoming for me to look around and ask questions. There were so many decorations that I wanted to buy but it wasn't good enough for me to spend THAT much on something. That's my summation of this store: you don't need anything here but their decorations will definitely boost your home's appeal. There was this journal that I wanted to get but it was around $50. Maybe if I'm still interested in it when I come back here I'd get it. Definitely check this place out if you're around the area! read more

Wow...this store is BEAUTIFUL.... I actually passed it, but when I saw the Lotus lamps hanging from the ceiling through the storefront window, I instantly reversed and headed on in. Beautiful Asian inspired garments -- dresses, tops, scarves, pants. I got a pretty halter top that was on sale (http://www.omgallery.com/product_info.php?products_id=46). They had really cute banners with day affirming messages on them. I really liked this one: "May you always have enough happiness to keep you sweet; Enough trials to keep you strong; Enough success to keep you eager; Enough faith to give you courage; and enough determination to make each day a good day." I was happy to see they offer a lot of their merchandise online on their website. I'll be frequenting the website a lot. This place is so enchanting and beautiful you could walk in with all the stresses of the world and your mind is just freed just by walking in! I felt like a child watching fireworks just lost in awww by all the beautiful colors, sounds, sculptures, and art that are throughout this entire boutique. I ended up buying on of the stars that they have samples of hanging in the back corner of the store. I can't wait to hang it up! Everything they have there I personally feel is reasonable priced. The staff member was very friendly and very helpful in helping me find the Star I wanted from their display. If you want to get lost and have happy thoughts and smiles and just need an escape even for just a moment from all the hustle and bustle this is the place to go. This is one of those stores where I think to myself "how do they stay open?" Not because their products are bad or that they have rude staff, but because of their prices. This isn't somewhere I would shop for home decor, but then again, I'm a broke college student...so...well, yeah that sums it up. Generally, their store is empty also, so that just adds more wonder to my question. From the streets their lanterns/lights will draw you in because they're calming in a romantic way and they're very colorful. They have multiple sizes and colors to choose from, so feel free to buy one of everything. I'd certainly love to fill my house with them but they're not cheap--I want to say their smaller lamps are around 50 dollars and goes up to 100+ dollars? I can't remember because I must have passed out when the staff member told me. The staff members are very attentive and try to get you to purchase something--in a way where I feel like they're working off commission, but I don't want to sound rude about it because I don't really know how their store operates. They almost had my friend purchase this fabric picture frame for 35 dollars! THIRTY FIVE DOLLARS! I talked her out of it and she quickly agreed, the death daggers coming from the worker at the counter should have killed me, but here I am, giving reviews on yelp. Anyways, yes the OM gallery is nice, but not 4 or 5 stars nice. read more

This store really draws you in! It's enchanting and beautiful! The room is filled with colorful lanterns, big and small, of various shapes and sizes! In addition to lanterns, they sell art, candles, clothes, incense holders, vases, books, music, and little zen gardens. I think most things related to peace, ambiance and zen. Think: perfect spot for yogies. There's lovely candle holders here too. We bought a small lotus flower candle holder normally priced at $8 for $1.99! The employees and multiple signs around the store told us that there was also a 20% off sale on the entire store! Duped! The 20% off sale didn't seem to apply to our discounted item though; it would have been nice if they told us that the discount wasn't applicable on sale items. The woman who initially told us about the sale, just didn't mention it at all when she was checking us out. We weren't too bothered as the discount would have been only change, but I'd hate to think of the time we or anyone else could have wasted looking around the store, only to be duped at the register later. You gotta tell your customers about exclusions! Overall though, this is a very lovely store and a favorite of mine to step into and wander around for a bit! read more
