$15 grafted cactus so adorable!
Leilani Q.

5 stars enthusiastically up!*****. I really really really love this plant store. Who would've thought a home decor/plant store/jewelry store/sunglass store/candle store combo would be the most brilliant & cohesive mashup for the plant lover in me? Take into account, there are more plants & plant related items here than anything in case you're wondering. But that it has a little of all of everything makes it brilliant. There's so much eye candy to browse, I can't stop looking when I'm there & it's seriously difficult to leave. I encourage you to come when you have time, stay a while, relax and let your eyes explore all the goodies & inspo. Besides that, there is so much plants inside & outside, there are lot of different sized succulents & plants to peruse & look at. There's also garden fountains, warmed seat benches, theme coordinated areas, even gardening classes to take. A big plus is, the employees are very helpful & knowledgeable. I highly suggest coming here if you want a nice gift for a plant lover, or if you're a plant lover yourself. Instead of flowers for my birthday this year, I got this super cute cactus called a grafted cactus. It was green, prickly & had these happy yellow buds on the top (see pic). It was so adorable & was $15 well spent. I enthusiastically recommend this store. Watch my video for a tour.

Wow! A veritable cornucopia of plants, succulents, pots, planters, outdoor furniture & garden supplies. And kitchen accessories, candles, barware, pillows, & cards. Even some Dig Garden hoodies. I come here for plants & succulents for house warmings, hostess gifts, and to brighten up the office. Be sure to check out the garden outside. On a couple of occasions, Trinity has helped me find the right gift and wrapped it for me. Park on the street.

We bought a beautiful monstera and white ceramic pot in this store. We have been greeted and helped by very charming and nice lady with glasses and short haircut. We didn't know her name, but she made us very happy by explaining different things about their plants. Also, she repotted our plant to our brand new pot. The store itself also 5/5. Thank you

The desert terrarium I made

I haven't taken a class here in a couple of years and I was so happy to be able to take another one! We took the desert terrarium class with my Ida! They had a variety of materials for us to use, and we were able to go into the garden and pick our own plans. They also provided water and wine, which was a nice treat! I highly suggest taking any of these classes, whether it's solo or with friends or family!

Found me a cute air plant.

Gosh! This place is really cool. Just outside from downtown Santa Cruz near the County Courthouse. Assorted plants and home decor inside their shop and small outdoor garden area. I was actually looking for a grad gift and found these air plants for a reasonable price. I am going back again soon.

Really cute shop to get plants, and honestly, all sorts of goodies. It's so much bigger inside than it looks from the street when you pass it by. They have an impressive selection of plants both inside and outside, helpfully sell soil as well, have super cute cards, and just a mish-mash of cute gifts to get people (cute candles, dolls, drink mixers, notebooks, etc.). If you're looking for something, you can probz find it in this store! I walked out with two tiny foliage plants for one of my pots I have at home - they were both $4.99 each. I also bought two really sweet cards for friends - they have a lot of cute thank you, appreciation, and birthday cards. If you can't find one on the wall, look at the rest of them by the register! I also got some soil to pot my plants - $5 for a 4 quart bag. Service was friendly as well, and checkout was easy. The place is very cutely arranged and not overcrowded either. If you need a plant, they have a lot of options and most are very reasonably priced! Will be back for more plants, pots, soil, and cards! Wish I'd stopped by sooner!

Such an adorable store with a wide selection of plants, succulents, candles, reed diffusers, cards, and more! You walk in and instantly you know you want to spend hours wandering around to find your favorite scents. Definitely a store that helps you curate your house into a home. Staff was friendly and even pulled a few items from the back stock that I wanted to try and smell. I ended up walking out with a reed diffuser. I'm hoping to spend more time here soon!

DIY airplant arrangement with their colorful airplants

This place is special. It's the intersection of home decor and nurseries. In terms of plants they appear to specialize in airplanes and succulents. They have an awesome do it yourself airplant/terrarium arrangement section. I made two arrangements for my friends birthdays. In all my time visiting nurseries and home decor stores, I have never seen a DIY station like that before. The rest of the store is an eclectic mix of clean/healthy living and stylish boho type furniture and personal goods (candles, jewelry, kitchen foods, books, etc,). The store and nursery are gorgeous. They have beautiful displays. I could have easily spent 2 hrs there. I wanted to buy everything.

Cute little structure in the back

Cute little place - I had to go back after we drove by it as we got into town. They have an impressive selection of plants that are beautifully displayed, inside and out. I didn't buy anything this trip, but will probably be tempted to one day in the future. Street parking was easy, but we arrived on a Saturday evening about 30 minutes before they closed.

Love this place! One of the best stocked and frequently updated plant places near the South Bay and makes the trip to Santa Cruz extra special. Their selection of pottery updates pretty frequently, are unique/local/hand crafted. Ton of sizes, wall/railing hanging ones too! I came in when they just got a shipment of fresh airplants and I liked their simple color coded system for pricing, snagged a really cute fuzzy wuzzy tillandsia tectorum. They make it so easy to get succulents to make your own arrangements! They have little 2.5inch pots and they're some pretty rare items here. Then there's bigger succulent and cacti pots and everything is super well maintained, no pests, messiness. Huge selection of echeveria, aeonium, sedum, hen and chicks, senecio. The rarer houseplants sell out fast! Peperomia watermelon, Hoya kerrii. Best to monitor their social media or online store! They have the cutest magnet/earrings/ home goods too.

WARNING- You can not visit without buying something. Dig is so easy to navigate and I feel like I always find something new each time I visit. On a recent visit I went to find a new indoor plant for my WFH set-up. They have an insane amount of indoor options. But, I found a green-thumb to help me with the most low maintenance plant. I have a brown thumb! (I kill all my plants.) I ended up with a "snake" plant a fun pot. I have since been back for additional plants, pots, seeds and more. Plus, it's mainly outdoors and feels very covid safe.

There is something for everyone here! I'm sad that I didn't take more than one photo (this time), but expect to walk into a bright, lush, green and homey space. They've got air plants, pothos, monstera, lithops in a variety of colors, carnivorous plants, orchids, rare plants, and so much more! I didn't even know where to look first - a kid in a candy shop The owners were so nice and welcoming! Very knowledgeable about plants and took time to share more about items like bringing in pottery from local artists (we went home with a gorgeous planter). They just opened a little over a week ago so they're in the process of getting everything tagged, but if you have any questions, just ask and they'd be happy to help! They also have a location in Santa Cruz, in case you happen to be out there! Let's talk prices. They are so reasonable. The plants are really healthy (lots of flowering succulents, budding plants) and worth the prices. I already have an idea of what I want to get next time! Don't miss out on visiting this fabulous place!

I mean seriously, did someone read my journal of Favorite Things and create this store just for me?!! L-O-V-E! There is no walking around downtown Santa Cruz without stopping by Botanic and Luxe. I have purchased gifts here as well as framed art (with a locally-made wooden frame) that hangs in my home, and recently attended their anniversary event where they had local vendors serve matcha and desserts, and they provided 20% off the entire store, so naturally I went home with another plant baby. Even though the store was PACKED with customers, they asked me if I needed help twice and also spent time giving me plant care instructions! Botanic is a higher-end plant shop, so expect to see some matching "luxury" prices as well. But people don't usually come here to get the best deal; they come to feel a certain way while they peruse a beautiful shop that sources many items locally, to get a certain level of service, and to be ensured a certain quality of product.
