Cute gift shop with rotating selection- kitchen items, cards, games, wall decor, hats, stickers, and more. A lot seems locally sourced. But honestly, the prices are high. Sweatshirts run $60-$64, hats are around $30, and some necklaces are $40+. I wish I could support and buy something, but I just can't justify those prices. I still like stopping by to see what's new, even if I rarely end up buying anything. read more

This is such a great place to shop! My partner and I love to swing by on our afternoon walks. The store is curated beautifully. My partner and I work from home and are on our laptops all the time...we were going to buy our blue light lenses online and we were so excited that on one of our recent visits that they had them in stock. We were surprised by the reasonable prices in this shop full of colorful, pretty, and well made things. Commercial rent is so expensive in north Santa Cruz County, which is the second most expensive place to rent or own in the US, after the south Silicon Valley - San Jose area, which is the most expensive. So, many brick and mortar stores in north county do not cater to locals as much as to tourists, who are more likely to splurge on higher priced things as part of their weekend getaway or longer vacation. We are not rich by any means, and only walked out with a greeting card for our uncle --a good quality reproduction of a watercolor landscape by local artist Elissa Nesheim-- but we will come back later and consider the interesting ceramic cylindrical storage containers. The accompanying photo is Yelp's square-cropped portion of Nesheim's card. The crop does not do it justice, as the original card is a vertical rectangle depicting the Milky Way spread elegantly upwards into a dark blue night sky --but you get the idea. read more

Really cute boutique gifts, also very useful and eco friendly items, plus what would feel random to some. I ended up with reusable silicone food storage bags, a Star Wars baking matt, a few other things, and randomly - a David Bowie bingo set. Great customer service. Very clean, hand sanitizer at the door, not at all cluttered for how small the shop is. They even have a rewards program. Love stopping by this shop when I am in town! They have the cutest items. You can find almost anything here from rugs to jewelry. I usually look for items to furnish my room like a new print to hang on my wall or new plants holders to hang from the ceiling. Their items can be a little pricey if you're on a budget but I usually find that the quality is worth the price. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Stopped downtown to get ice cream yesterday and noticed an awesome new home decor shop! What set this store apart from others is the mid century vintage decor mixed with the locally made art and gifts. My husband loves everything mid century so we will definitely be keeping this spot in mind when we are furnishing our own home. They also have these beautiful yarn wrapped lucky horseshoes in a variety of colors that would make the best hostess or housewarming gift! Such a cute idea for a gift. Also love the pottery made by someone local, the pieces are affordable and usable while also being beautiful to display as art. OMG OMG OMG! Guys I cannot EVEN. This hidden gem is seriously the best ever. My lovely lady friend dragged me in here and I am officially hooked. They have unique stuff that is to die for adorbes. Best part, they carry a ton of items for Crazy Cat Ladies like myself. Nothing was crazy over priced, and every few months they do a community give back fund raiser. Gotta love when people are caring and sharing! Cruising to the farmer's market last week I happened upon the Home/Work home goods store in downtown Santa Cruz. It was extremely serendipitous, because I finally found some awesome, stylish couch pillows after being on the hunt for years! The owner Sonia was super helpful, friendly, and has a great eye for selecting stylish pieces that would go well in anyone's home. I also found a unique, beautifully crafted gift for my friend's birthday- a horseshoe wrapped in colorful yarn that you can hang on your wall. Who wouldn't want such a beautiful symbol of good luck? Anyways, I can't wait to go back again the next time I need something to spruce up my home, or to get someone a gift for theirs. It's safe to say that I have found my new go to store. read more
