Customer base are made up of police officers, construction workers, transportation workers and suit and tie clienteles, basically, everyone. Lol. The service is top notch and staffs are friendly. I sampled only two items my first visit. First impressions were good. Place was clean and orderly. The small, horizontal layout reminded me of grabbing a quick slice before or after attending a concert or game in NYC. The similarity ends there though....they do not serve NYC-style pizza at Olympic; (nor should they). But it is GOOD pizza. Very much along the usual New England/Greek style offering. If you like sauce, theirs seemed to have more than the average pie. Sweeter tasting profile vs the more acidic, tomato-oregano profile. I'm NEUTRAL on the sauce but PRO the crust: nice tasting, robust and PERFECT amount of CRUNCHY which I applaud. (I hate spongy crust ala Dominos). Cheese: tasted OK but was the right amount and thankfully not overly-greasy) 2. Very Good Onion Rings: Fresh, hot, right amount of breading. Ordered over 57 dollars worth of food. Waited an hour for delivery. Showed up with only half my order. Waited another 10 minutes for the rest of my order. When the owners daughter showed up with the rest of my order. No apology from them for the missed food. All the food was cold and disgusting. First time customer, last time ordering from there. Who puts the toppings of a pizza UNDER the cheese?!!! Calzone was mostly cheese and gyro was overly sauced. Had the Absolute worst meatball sub from a restaurant/ take out pizza shop. All bread and a couple little meatballs cut in half. These frozen meatballs are about the size of a quarter. This is school cafeteria type meatball subs. Embarrassing to think a business thinks this food should be going out the door. Wish I took a picture sorry I didn't because I will never get another chance. Definitely stay away from the meatball subs. This place used to be so good! I am not sure if it's new owners or management but this is the second time in a row we have been so disappointed in the food and service. This was a Hyde Park staple to those of us who grew up here, we went at least one a week , we won't be back, poor service which they blamed on another customer saying he took the wrong order, he took what they gave him so he is not at fault at all. I ordered a large cheese pizza and it was terrible..... the pizza was dry, hard, no flavor, bad after taste...... absolutely one of the worst pizza I've ever had...... Customer service was terrible, the young girl in front was lazy and seemed not to care about anything. Please be warned... do not listen to these people, they are liars.... I placed an order and intended to pay with credit card, she told me that I cannot pay credit card for any order under $8, and told me that I had to buy something else, so I bought a brownie and a drink, which I did not want to, but I had to since I had no cash on me. After I swiped my card and the transaction completed, I asked her why can't I use my card for an order under $8, and she told me, "It's not true, it's just there so that people won't buy (example) a soda and then use their credit card, because we get a fee every time people use their credit card, we won't make money from it." I'm sad to say I had one of my last meals from Olympic Pizza the other day. No, not because I was disappointed but because I moved out of the area and while the love is still there, I'm eager to find my new "neighborhood" sub spot. I ordered a chicken salad sub, extra pickles and it was as delicious as ever and toasted just the way I like - not so crispy the bread crumbs but crispy enough all the same. Awesome place! Fair prices, huge portions, and great service. Everyone who works at Olympic is friendly and they have always gotten our order right (our = office staff where I work). Occasionally, they'll throw in an extra pizza or two for when we make a larger-than-average order, too!! Sandwiches, pizzas, and salads are all great and the portions are huge. I don't know what it is about their pizza - is it the crust or the sauce - but it's addicting!! Even at their peak times, they still get the order right and get it done fast. This is, hands down, one of the best and most affordable places to eat in Hyde Park. We work down the street and they are both quick and friendly, and are able to deliver without issue to our studio in the office park (but that may be because we order probably at least 1-2 times a week depending on who feels like ordering lunch that day). Pizza is great-- they have a lot of varieties and fancy deliciousness but nothing is a good litmus like a plain cheese pizza. I've eaten it hot, I've eaten cold, and I've eaten it as reheated leftovers. Damn good man, damn good. Some coworkers swear by the sandwiches, and we've shared orders of cheesey fries (a dream of steak cut fries smothered in cheese), curley fries, regular fries and onion rings. It's all freaking delicious. We order a TON of salads, all of which everyone ends up super happy with-- comes with pita bread too. I'm super stoked that they offer anchovies on Caesar salads because I'm one of the very few people that insists on it. I was motivated to write this today because of the caesar wrap I had today-- with added anchovies, no issue-- and it was, hands down, the best wrap I've had ever. Normally, I don't like wraps. I was having a shitty morning, and I think I wanted to punish myself and lo and behold, this was the best wrap I have ever stuffed in my gullet. And I eat a lot of stuff. A lot of good stuff. I love food. I just am not a fan of wraps, but Olympic Pizza has changed my mind. That was a bomb of delicious in my mouth. We typically order online from their website and pay whoever puts it on their card, though we're also fans of just giving the driver cash. Really nice guy, and is very sweet to us. I would not even give one star !! I had a real bad experience previously, and thought of giving them another try. I place the order on-line, and after almost an hour I called to see where my order. The owner answered the phone and was very abrupt. I just stated continuously "my driver got into an accident". I understand that, however I was just try to get an estimate of when. An hour ago, or just now. I was obvious concern about eating as I already waited an hour. He knew of my past experience month ago and was rude, and had absolutely no customer service skills. He obviously did not want my business. His driver arrived less than 10 minutes, and I accepted the order as it was still a little warm. They suck!!! They have the worst customer service .... I ordered a small Buffalo chicken pizza like five times on five different days and they all came back Burnt, no cheese hardly and barely any buffalo sauce. So why call it a buffalo chicken pizza? So I said to myself let me get a salad. I got myself a chicken Caesar salad but I substituted the Caesar dressing for ranch and I asked for tomatoes on the side when my boyfriend brought me my food they gave me literally One tomato cut in four pieces and to top it all off they put it in aluminum foil so the tomatoes look soggy and disgusting. I've been going to Olympic since it opened,more years than I care to remember.When it opened they were in the old home of Italia Pizza,a local staple,with Italia opening their new shop right across the street.So how do you compete,make it different,make it better,make it cheeper! I've occasionally been ordering food from here for about 4-5 years now. Olympic Pizza had its golden age about 2-3 years ago, and then fell into a steady decline. I almost blacklisted Olympic last year because their service was so bad. But they've gradually started to improve. The pizzas and calzones are not as good as 4 years ago, but they're better than they were last year. Last year they would forget about my order or would give the driver bad directions. But it appears that management has changed as my orders are on time now. The calzones are definitely the strongest part of Olympic. Get the pepperoni calzone with ranch dipping sauce. That dish is a solid 5/5, and the other thing I'd suggest is an order of fries, which have also vastly improved. It appears that they may only have one delivery driver because it's been the same guy for 3 years. He seems like a good guy; I say tip him a little extra. They used to be a 5 star place for me, but last year they had only 1 star. They've managed to crawl their way back off my blacklist, so they get 4 stars. read more

They hand bread the chicken for their buffalo chicken pizza- to order! Wow! We use them for events at our rock climbing gym around the corner and they're a hit everytime. Great delivery staff and the owner is a pleasure to work with. The food is mediocre at best, the people who make the food are rude, the only people I respect from Olympic are the 2 delivery men. Delivery takes forever, but I'm not putting the blame on the drivers I putting the blame on management. The only reason why I continue to eat here is because it is convenient. Customer service is terrible. The woman who takes your order is extremely rude and disrespectful. I LOVE THEM! I recently got hooked on their steak tip dinner, its delicious! They give just the right amount of food , not so cheap with their meats! I went there today again, and i just loved the way they run the shop, the owner pushes them to finish the orders fast in a friendly funny way and they have such a awesome type for respect for him, i just loved it. The worst customer service. Woman who took my order seemed distracted and simply negligent, even tho we were in the shop! I waited 45 for a wrap and small cheese pizza! Ridiculous. Not even an apology, which would of made the situation just a little better. Only when I was asked my the pizzamaker if we were waitung, did anything get done... Ordered a grilled chicken greek salad from a cashier who seemed angry that I had the nerve to know what I wanted to order and pay for it. He was possibly the single most miserable cashier I've ever encountered anywhere. My friend also never got half of his order and we were sick of dealing with this eatery that apparently also functions as a prison for its workers so we left. So i hung up & called Olympic & the woman who took my order was definitely busy I could tell, but she was fast efficient polite and was able to take my order despite being busy. This is many steps better than the usual neighborhood pizza place. Their pizza is delicious - favorable and with excellent crust. Their Cesar Salad is my favorite anyplace and the chicken is grilled with some kind of rub that makes it special. Recently we tried their chicken, broccoli, Alfredo and loved it.
