The Chinese name, 全記麵家, has little to do with the name Mike, but is nevertheless an excellent choice for anyone in the area. The staff is very Cantonese through and through. It is a cash only establishment and their menu is heavy on the noodles, be it in soup form or dry. There isn't a ton of room for large groups, but the turnover is quick and thus the weights are usually quite minimal. Service is very good overall and super friendly. I would highly not recommend using their bathroom, as it's tiny, cramped, and not in the best condition. The noodle soups vary from wonton noodles to fishballs. They also specialize in beef brisket and fishballs, making this feel like a bit of a Hong Kong style cafe. Most of the soups average out to be $14-16, depending on size. It's a joy to watch them assemble the bowls in lightning quick fashion. Wontons are excellent. They're plump with just enough skin for texture and are complemented by a fragrant soup and very little skimpage on the noodle (#1). The large dumpling (aka "sui kau") is an excellent wonton alternative for those looking for similar textures. The beef brisket is tender and they also have a dedicated section for just congee. There aren't a lot of places like Mike's anymore, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second for an opportunity to come back. He is clearly detail oriented and cares about the experience of his guests. My family ordered nachos as an appetizer which were delicious. I ordered the honey ginger salmon. My parents ordered a veggie burger and French dip. Our food came out promptly and hot. We all really enjoyed our meals. If you haven't been to Off Main recently, it is worth stopping in. Residents were wonderful. Introduced themselves to me and asked to sit with them at meals. The medical staff was excellent. I have Multiple Sclerosis and need special care. My wife is a nurse and we had looked at other places but she was not comfortable with leaving me at them. After meeting with the Brookside medical director she said this was the place. All during my stay everyone was making me feel at home. Would recommend Brookside to anyone looking for a place for a parent or themselves.

I loved the plush robes in the rooms and you can customize your shower experience by adjusting the temperature yourself. I loved every bit of my overnight stay with my 2 besties.
