I later became a patient myself, starting with Invisalign and eventually transitioning to braces due to a stubborn tooth. Throughout my treatment, the team was incredibly supportive and transparent. Pricing was always clearly explained, and I never paid more than what was quoted, even when accounting for insurance adjustments and hidden insurance-related fees. We briefly tried a cosmetic orthodontic office in Yelm for my youngest son, and that experience made it very clear how exceptional Hawks Prairie Orthodontics truly is. It was a mistake, and I now happily drive the extra distance to Lacey without hesitation. Appointments were always efficient, and we never experienced long waits in the waiting room. The doctor was consistently amazing, polite, professional, and reassuring. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. On top of that, they always found time to squeeze us in for loose brackets, pokey wires, or any urgent issues, which made a huge difference for our family. They never rushed my process and made me feel comfortable every step of the way through proper communication, post care, etc. I wish they did cleanings and other dental care here as well. But nonetheless, great place to come. Highly recommend. Give them a try if you're looking for an orthodontist near you.

This obviously completely turned me off from this practice; so many people in this area use and rely on Apple Health, and while I gather it's more challenging than billing people directly, it drastically limits who can get orthodontic care. What if every orthodontist did this? To be actively working to not have Apple Health patients is pretty gross in my book.

He was so patient, very understanding and was very gentle (especially poking a needle in my mouth). The staff were also great and super welcoming. They were polite, chatty and were very smiley. Such a great customer service and it makes you feel good walking into the clinic. The location is also great. They have a lot of parking and their office is homey. And one last thing, They are great with kids. I took my pre-toddler here and they were quick and a bonus point, they gave him some goodies and he was happy.

Dr. Dahlke utilizes state of the art imaging, 3D scanning and 3D printing to facilitate a fast and accurate treatment. In my own practice of dentistry I have worked with other orthodontists and provided limited orthodontic treatment myself, and I can assure you that Dr. Dahlke exceeds expectations.
