Sea Mar itself is encouraging patients everywhere to get vaccinated as we know that vaccines are the best defense against death and serious disease yet BOTH dental assistants at Sea Mar are unvaccinated. I happened to do my due diligence and ask the vaccination status of the woman serving me, to which the assistant volunteered that she chose not to get vaccinated for "personal choice." Upon requesting a replacement assistant I was a approached by this assistant's colleague who was confrontational and not only unvaccinated but anti-vaccine. Good grief. I was told by her in an aggressive manner that "it's your choice, leave if you want." I was careful to point out that I could not access safe and lower risk dental care today because of HER choice not mine. I'm absolutely stunned that In a facility that serves state Medicaid recipients (who have limited choices as to where they can go , this being one of the only places) the providers are INCREASING patient risk for severe disease and possible death. This isn't a craft store, or yard sale, this is a dentist office. They put their hands in our actual mouths. The Delta variant is highly transmissible. Vaccination is an evidence-based Best Practice. Those who choose not to be vaccinated due to opinion; which is not the same as Informed Knowledge, ought not to place others at risk with their reckless decision, and certainly not patients. Notably the vaccination status was only disclosed to me because I asked. This is abhorrent and I would have expected Sea Mar medical to hold their patients in a cautious light and most certainly in an informed one. Without knowing the vaccination status of one's provider, patients cannot truly give Informed Consent. I urge all to ask providers their vaccination status and not assume that all are making choices in line with science- which is odd given that they are practicing in a science based field. Further I believe that it is worth avoiding this clinic until Sea Mar institutes mandates for their staff with exemptions only for medical reasons. Sure, have your freedom and what not but acknowledge that your freedom to not vaccinate also comes with consequences. Oof. What a terrible terrible experience. And my tooth is still a mess because they couldn't safely serve me. Ouch.

They do not care about the clients because If the did they would have let me say goodbye or had me help train the new caregiver. they fired me at the end of the day at the end of the week, I cannot express how betrayed I feel by this company and these people I thought were my friends. They told me I how great I was and then this two faced company throws me out. I hope this company doesn't make it. After delivery I was having extreme pain and long feeds, and I was able to have an AT HOME visit, which was amazing itself. Emily was able to promptly provide feedback on my newborns feeding and issues, which we got a great recommendation listing for pediatric dentist for lip and tongue ties removals. Since the procedures, my newborn has been feeding great and gaining weight, and the several follow up appointments have been just as good, Emily provided techniques on different positions, how to adjust the latch, and queues for when baby is done eating. Her office is so clean and cozy, and from the first second, Emily was extremely warm and welcoming. She is so knowledgeable about lactation and put me at ease, she is great about consent before touching and so gentle with my baby. She was always very gentle and thorough during my exams and made me feel understood and at ease. She rushed over she i called during labor and was very supportive of myself and my husband in the ways we choose to bring our daughter into the world. She was right by my side and helped prevent me from tearing during crowing and talked my husband through it all so he was able to "catch" my daughter himself! The aftercare was probably the best part and she taught me things to help me heal fast and aided with breast feeding. Literally love her and can't thank her enough!
