Oly is a great tap house right off the West Bay. Wife and I stopped by to have a brew and combination pizza during the harbor days festival. Since we had our dog we sat at the outside patio facing the water. Extremely pet friendly as every other table had their dog. A delicious love letter to the beers of the West Coast. They offer 14 rotating taps of a variety of beers and one cider, along with a cold case of hundreds of additional types. All of the staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and glad to help you find what you might want based on your tastes. The clientele tends to be folks who enjoy beer and good company. It's rare to find a group of disheveled 20-somethings drinking to wild excess, which is wonderful. They have some board games, but many people bring their own for spirited game nights and good beer. They have a couple TVs, by no means a sports bar, but will play Seahawks and Sounders and other games at request. They only serve pizza for food, but it is quite good pizza. And if you're not interested in that, you can bring in your own food or even have it delivered. I've had Uber Eats drop food off several times. Finally, the owners are both locals and care about their community. They often partner with groups to collect donations and give aways. They listen to the feedback they receive and are looking to make themselves a staple in downtown. Take some time to chat with the staff and enjoy a few pints in a comfortable space. Started with a 6 flight of beers. Good selection on tap along with a full fridge of beers for the locals. Nice seating outside looking at a park with full sun patio. Nice summer spring green salad with balsamic, red onions, black olives,banana peppers, and dried cranberries. Went with the cheesy bread. Thin crust and mozzarella cheese with brown sugar sprinkled on top, perfect salty and sweet combination. Good location next to my hotel makes it easy walking! Not much I can add to all of the other positive reviews. I've come here a number of time, and I usually select bottles/cans from the cooler because they have such a great selection in there. Lots of stuff that you don't see often. Nothing against the draft beers, of which they have about a dozen at all times. The location is ideal, being right near the waterfront, facing west toward the evening sun, and being close to many other things downtown. read more

Great tap room! They have a lot of local stuff on tap, I had a sour beer from a Leavenworth brewery that was excellent. They have something on tap for everyone. There is quite a bit of space inside as well as an upper area for seating. There are also a lot of bottled beers to take home if you like. What was already a great concept has turned into an even more awesome place to have a beer, they've added pizza to their repertoire! I've been a big fan of the "taproom" my only issue is the lack of food to eat while you have a beer or two, well......they now serve pizza, and it's pretty good pizza. Thin crust, hop infused red sauce and good fresh toppings! All I can say is, it's about time and add some more offerings to the food side of things, (how about some salads?) With all that said, I really like this Olympia favorite. Great rotating tap selection, seasonal microbrews and a vast refrigerator full of beer of every ilk! What a variety of beer! You can get something off the rotating taps or any bottle/can out of the coolers (which are incredibly cold by the way). The folks serving us were super cool, took the time to chat and educate us on beer. One of the owners, Levi, even hung out and talked with us for a while. He let me know what the best gluten-free beer he had was (Ghost Fish Pale Ale). I bought a couple bottles for a buddy that is gluten-free and he raved about the stuff - said he wants to buy it by the case now! Wunderbar! My first experience was last night for happy hour. The coolers FULL of beer and ciders will peak your interest! What?! A Canadian raspberry cider for $1.80? Yes, please. My favorite watering hole in Olympia. Excellent service with a fine selection of beers on tap. If you can't find a draft you like, you have a daunting 600-650 bottles to choose from, including ciders. If you are not sure about craft beers, an excellent staff can give you some pointers.
