This is my first review of Briggs even though I have eaten there many times. If you love pizza this is the place for you. Great crust and creative toppings. They have monthly special cocktails and pizzas. We also like the wings. My favorite wings are the teriyaki. The cheese curds with hot homey are also a favorite. There is takeout and delivery available. They also have a good tap list of craft beers and a selection of cocktails. I would give them 5 stars if there was a small area set aside for adults. It can get pretty loud and unnerving with a lot of children around.

We have been in and ordered online from Briggs Taphouse over the past couple years. Have not had any issues with their pizzas or food in the past; love the variety of items on tap also! This time was noticeably different, not sure if they had new staff making pizzas or something, but they must have been almost out of several toppings or they were just stingy with putting them on our pizzas this time. The Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza could have almost passed for bread sticks as the toppings were so sparse and limited. Also, they subbed the sun-dried tomatoes with green onions?!? Our Combo pizza was also lacking; we only saw about 5 or so pieces of mushrooms on the entire pizza. My son joked that we should have gotten the 10" pizzas so the toppings would have been closer together. (smh) I get inflation has hit every aspect of our economy. If the prices for toppings are up, then raise the prices for the pizzas accordingly. Please do not keep the prices the same but put fewer toppings on the pizzas!! Disappointed!

Where to start. I don't want to be dramatic BUT..... This is literally the best pizza I have ever had. EVER. Nothing else comes close that's how incredible it was. Went our first time this weekend and were impressed with the location and set up of the building. Plenty of room inside. A covered area outside that is heated and dog friendly. Perfect for us since we have to frenchies. They also have an adults only beer garden outside as well. We started with a beer for the husband (can't remember what he got) and a cider for me, I think it was a boysenberry lemonade? It was fantastic. Ordered the mozzarella sticks to start, my Husband who loves mozzarella sticks says that they were fantastic and the marinara sauce was really really good. It was kind of sweet. We ate those out on their heated patio area, that's dog friendly. Met a couple of doggos out there. Everybody seemed really happy with their food. We were drooling over the people's pizza next to us. It looked like it had fried chicken on it and pickles so we made a mental note to remember to order that next time. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza to go and an order of their cheesy bread. The drive home was a struggle because all I wanted to do was climb into the backseat and eat the pizza because it smelled so delicious. we got home and immediately tried both the cheesy bread which was good but the pizza the pizza was fantastic the sauce the little pepperonis were toasted perfectly. I don't even like pepperoni and I thought about picking all of the pepperonis off and eating them. 10 out of 10 the best pizza I've ever had in my entire life!My husband who is somewhat of a pizza connoisseur also said that it's the best pizza he's ever had and the best part is that it's only 10 minutes away. I'm sad because we've been here in this area for almost a year and a half and we just found this place so don't be like us. Go there immediately like, tonight and order dinner. As a sidenote, I waited a few days to write my review because we wanted to try another pizza and the ceasar salad. So last night for dinner, we tried the "birds and the bees" pizza which is a white sauce pizza with fried chicken, hot honey, and hot pickles. I don't know how to put into words. The flavors. The smell. This is going to be the thing that I crave in life forever. It was amazing, so amazing in fact, we called the restaurant to let them know how amazing it was just so they would understand how much we appreciate good pizza. I think we scared them a little but hopefully in a good way. So don't waste time. Go give this place a try. The nice weather is coming! Dog friendly, 99% kid friendly.

Found this gem on a trip to visit family in tumwater. The vibes were super friendly and the service is fast as hell!! We ordered a classic pepperoni pizza, buffalo wings, and mozzarella sticks... and of course some beer The food was amazing. Have to give it up to the Wings. They were crispy, hot, and perfect amount of sauce. Overall everything was top notch. Would definitely come back! They had a lot of other options for pizza that looked good too so check them out

I went here for lunch with a few friends today. It was around 1pm so it wasn't super busy but there were a few occupied tables. When we walked in we were greeted and able to order immediately. I split some mozz sticks with one friends and got the fun guy pizza. The mozz sticks came out quickly and were delicious. They were hot and had a good cheese pull. They tasted delicious too. The pizza was also good but did come with massive whole garlic cloves on it which I wasn't expecting. Maybe I didn't read the description fully but it was just a lot. I ended up picking all of them off and eating the pizza that way and it was pretty good. The restaurant was clean and had good space. The bathroom was also pretty clean and is gender neutral which was a pleasant surprise. I would go back here again!

Kids meal: ginormous pizza, root beer in a take-home cup, fruit snacks, and frisbee plate.

We'd been living in the Oly area for months before I managed to get my family here after hearing great things. Not only were we not disappointed, but after one visit it became our family's favorite place. Besides "traditional" flavors of pizza that rock, they have inventive flavors that have so far been absolute bangers, all of them. The birds and bees, a pizza with fried chicken, spicy pickles, and hot honey is a g.d. revelation (which my wife was scared to try but now demands). We've tried nearly ever pizza on the menu as well as a special (summer BBQ), and there hasn't been a clinker in the lot. The wings (we've tried the lemon pepper) are crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. Again using my wife as a barometer, she hates wings (because messy fingers or some nonsense), but LOVED the l.p. ones. They have a rotating selection of beers on tap and by the bottle/can (takeout only), as well as cocktails and wine. The kids offerings include our kids' favorite; a generous pizza on a frisbee plate with craft root beer and fruit snacks. I think all that runs $8, and my kids (10yos) can barely or not finish the food, making it one of if not the best kids meal values in the greater Oly area. We prefer sitting outside at the covered tables, but inside features plenty of seating as well as big screens. There are heaters available outside and a 21+ seating area if you're trying to get away from the ankle biters. Our service has always been great. It's an order at the counter spot, and they drop your food off without much follow-up, but since our food has always been perfect, and since they have self-serve utensils and such, that's been fine. The staff is also good for a chat and I've never felt anything but overwhelmingly welcome. When I saw on Facebook that they have a membership you can join, I leapt at it. $120 (as of 2024) for 20oz pours at 16oz prices, 15% off total bill, a shirt (which I still haven't gotten as of 8/22/24, but hopefully soon), a key ring, and bragging rights. There is an annual window to join, as I gather, but if it's open, it's worth joining. I can't recommend my favorite restaurant enough!

Coffee stand across the parking lot. There is also a fenced in seating area that is dog-friendly.

We were here on a busy Sunday afternoon. Several TVs going with the Mariners game. Yay! We claimed the last available 4-top then got up to order at the counter. Good thing, too, because it was packed and there were only two people working front of house, including the bar. We waited patiently since it was obvious they were understaffed. Once we ordered the food did arrive quickly. We didn't try any cocktails or beer but the beer selection looked extensive and they had a cold case to buy cans to-go. A Cuban pizza was the special for the day (not on the menu), delicious! Pulled pork, ham bites, pickles, and mustard drizzle, so so good. The crust has a sour dough taste which is fantastic. We also ordered a chicken bacon ranch pizza that was delightful. Big open seating area inside with garage doors that could open on a nicer day. It was raining and a little chilly when we were there so nobody was sitting in the covered outdoor area. Could use another wall menu posted that is easier to see without having to be right at the counter. Kinda felt like I was in the way of the staff coming from behind the bar and out of the kitchen. There is an ice cream shop next door in the same building. Will return!

    Axis Meads' Dark Sarcasm

My dad and I come here after talking our dogs to the dog park. They've got delicious pizza (sourdough crust and hop sauce give it a unique flavor), and they always have a yummy beer we want to try. Right now, they have a delicious mead from Axis Meads called Dark Sarcasm that is super good. We're also big dark beer people, and these guys *usually* have a dark beer on tap. They're dog friendly (outside, but not inside) and have a big, covered patio where you can sit and eat with your pups on leash. It's a big part of what we love about it. They're a sister restaurant to Oly Taproom downtown. So if you like Oly Taproom's pizza or beers, you'll likely find something you like at Briggs. The specialty pizza menu is different, which is kinda neat to try different things. We love The Birds and the Bees and the La Carnivora pizzas.

I've been here twice now. The first time we got the house salad (delicious), the cheese curds (it's mozzarella balls breaded and served with honey), and the wings. This time, we got a Caesar salad and the combo. The food is decent. The pizza is the star here, along with the beer. When you walk in, it's a large open area and you walk up to the counter to order your food and drink. The staff come by every now and then, dropping off food and picking up empty plates. You bus your own table. It's decent pizza and I'll be back. But some small tweaks can really make this place 5 star like more toppings on salad, salt and pepper shakers at all tables, and maybe make it a little warmer inside.

    The magic garlic wings

My wife and I and our 2 year old went down to Olympia on a Saturday afternoon for the children's museum (a must stop if have kids) so we obviously wanted a libation and some tasty grub afterwards. Look no further. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. You order at the register and then grab a seat with plenty of outdoor options. Local craft beers in 3 size options from 6oz tasters to your full pints. Wine, ciders and some cocktails too. A creative assortment of pizzas, 4 types of wings, salads and more. We had the bird and bees small 10 inch pizza and their garlic wings. The pizza was a perfect crust (and I am picky so well done and why got the 5 rating) a white sauce that was flavorful but not overstated... and wait for it fried chicken and a honey drizzle. It sounded questionable to me too but my wife was game to try so I agreed. Glad we did, was delicious. The wings were fried in a magical frier- no grease, nothing rubbery and great slight crunch with the crisp skin. And yum if you like garlic as much as I. If not try one of the other options. The only note is an old Yelp review says has a kids area - that is now a beer garden for adults 21+ only. They now have a loyal customer when I come down from Tacoma
