    Joe vs. the volcano
    Mariah C.

We came in on a Friday around 5 pm. We got two pizzas to share. Each pizza is 12", we got Joe vs. the volcano and honey boo boo. Our biggest gripe was that it took well over an hour for two 12" pizzas, so be prepared to wait a decent amount of time. Overall loved the dough, love a wood fired pizza. My favorite of the two is the honey boo boo one, perfect savory and sweet combo. It is a little greasy from the pepperoni. The Joe vs. the volcano is slightly spicy, personally I would've loved for a spicy sausage instead of a pulled pork. The pork had a slight crisp to some pieces. I probably wouldn't come back but if you're passing through Tumwater, it's a good space for many food options with outdoor and indoor seating.

Bastard Pies has a new food truck and they're currently located next to the Tipsy Whale, 6541 Sexton Dr NW, Olympia.

They have a new food truck! Prior to this, they've had a pop up restaurant, under EZ ups, and they were so excellent , that now they've got this cozy truck with a full pizza oven. The pizzas are outstanding! Our order was made from scratch in about 15 minutes. The truck is parked next to the Tipsy Whale currently. I hope they stay there a long time. We're planning to return, get some beers at the Tipsy whale and eat pizza in the beer garden! Fun night out!

Best wings in town in my book. Kind customer service for a food truck. Chef's kiss

Tried both the Honey boo boo and Walker Texas Ranger. And wings. All excellent so far. Miss the Nutella pizza. Was a great dessert.

One of our new favorite spots! Pizza was amazing! It was busy, but the wait time wasn't bad at all. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Ambience - Very cool little pizza joint on the west side offering both indoor and outdoor seating. Capable of handling larger sized groups - primarily outside. Order up front and they bring it out. Service - Staff is always inviting, friendly, and courteous! Food - No pretenses here...it's strictly a pizza place! They don't offer other Italian fare and I think that's a good decision. They do stone fired pizza...and they do it well! While they offer quite a few different combos, as well as build your own, pizzas come in one size and one size only... 12". I think this also plays well for ensuring consistency. Honestly, having spent 20 years in the pizza industry, I think these are good business decision. At this point we've only had their Margherita, Marg-A-Roni, Meat Lovers, and Supreme pizzas as we are Kida traditionalist. But as I mentioned, they offer quite a few different sauces, cheeses, and toppings. The veggie toppings are always fresh and the meat toppings have some good seasoning! Our favorite stone fired pizza for this region happens to be up in Shelton currently, but Stone Creek is our local favorite and a very close second!! Give them a shot if you haven't... great little pizza parlor! We will definitely be back!

It's easily 1.5 meals and getting to choose so many of your own toppings makes it great for any mood and also makes me feel healthy because spinach is a default topping. The staff here have always been super helpful and it's a cute space for a counter service spot. This location is also way better at lunch because you can actually find parking. Pizza is always good. Salads are fine. The staff is always friendly and they make good suggestions. Food is served reasonably fast and with a smile always! (Suggestion: do not order the walnut dressing on pizza.... It looks inedible.) Comfortably self serve and self bus the table, which is perfect for a quick lunch. The separate bar looks friendly and interesting, but we didn't try it at lunch. This place looks like it would be especially great and buzzing with community on a warm summer evening. The only drawback is the inside space is cold in the fall/winter and the acoustics make it very loud and hard to hear. We go back for the food!

Terrible parking - had to circle a couple times for street parking. Place had maybe 8 total people so not busy. Went up to Server/Cashier near front to let her know I was there for pickup and was immediately told "The servers like it when you stand by the table" in a mildly pretentious tone. No "Hi" or "How can I help you?" This is downtown Olympia so typical establishment behavior. Not surprised. Place was clean and very nicely decorated.Took about 5 minutes to get my pizza which was surprisingly quick. The Pizza I generally like my pizzas crisp and this was not even close. Very soggy, and not much flavor (Pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, olives). This was thin crust so that potentially had something to do with taste and texture. I would compare this Pizza to what you get at MOD. It's not too bad, but not too good. Average at best and I expected a lot better. Cost was about normal (14" pizza and bread appetizer for $50 plus tax). Marinara sauce for bread was delicious. All in all, it wasn't a terrible experience. It's by no means gourmet or fancy pizza. Perhaps the rest of their menu is better. Server needs to chill out and brush up on her customer service skills. 3 stars at best.

This month, the customer service was so bad, I will not be going back. We arrived before closing and, knowing they would be closing soon chose not to order a pizza they would have to cook. We got our drinks and went to a table. Which was dirty. When we asked them to clean it, they complained "You sat at the only dirty table." Once through that, we enjoyed our food and drinks- but watched as they locked the customers on the patio out. They started pre bussing our table, but we weren't bothered by that. Until the staff decided they were ready to clock out. They asked us to "please hurry" because all they had to do was wash our table. We reminded them that this is how restaurants work, they continued to argue. We told them they were being inappropriate and rude and they told us that we should not come back. I thought "Surely the management would care about such poor treatment of customers" so we sent a message through the website. No response. Well- we will not be going back.
